We finished Fantastic Mr Fox a week or so ago. Now halfway through James and the Giant Peach.

I love the Revolting Rhymes for a quick pre-brekkie read as well. Makes them laugh so much. Seeing them say "she WHIPS the pistol from her knickers" complete with gestures, hilarious

bloss glad dh home safe and sound. No sign of mine yet....

Morning ladies! The kindergarten saga continues... The gist is: Talked to DDs teachers this morning, apparently both were not with the children yesterday morning Hmm. They didn't know which teacher was with the children at the time the "incident" happened but assured me they will investigate. I was very calm and polite but only on the outside. Enough said.

bloss Glad your DH got back home safely. It's even a bit windy here. Might take DD to fly her kite tomorrow.

cake Hope your DH is back by now. Hope your attempts to give DDs toy a distressed look worked!

I really enjoyed your conversation about reading to your DCs. Love reading my old favourites to DD too but I'm sometimes a bit shocked how unPC and blunt they are. I sometimes edit the text a bit as I read.

roary You look gorgeous. And notyummy Loved the pic of your DD.

Have the morning off today and will use the time to do some online and RL shopping later.

Bonsoir · 05/11/2010 09:45

tracey - my DD has got two identical Corolle Camille ballerinas - I bought her one as a bribe when she had to go to the orthoptist when she was 4, and a little boy in her class gave her one for her 5th birthday. They are fab - she loves them. And they fit the irresistible Bonpoint dolls clothes that you can buy in little suitcases in Bonpoint around Christmas time for outrageous amounts of euros Smile.

monkeysmama · 05/11/2010 10:01

How funny-my dd has two Corolle dollies too. They come everywhere with us with their big brother who is a very large black anatomically correct boy. Dd refuses to let any of them wear clothes which tends to get a reaction when we are out Hmm.

No read all the posts. May have to admit defeat just this once as I'm very tired. Went rl shopping with my dsis last night and was very avid. Came home to large asos parcel, Wallis gear, Zara delivery and Isabella Oliver pegs. Haven't opened them yet. Nap then trying on session and will link to anything good.

Hope I haven't missed anything and everyone's ok.

FritziGreenEyes · 05/11/2010 10:20

Sequinned jacket on the Outnet

blossoming · 05/11/2010 10:33

Morning all! Much better here today, although the road to my house is like a river. Dh home and I plan to spoil him rotten! I'm also planning for mil, sil and bil tomorrow so am cooking full speed. I'm making Jamie Oliver's slow roast lamb shoulder with dauphinoise potatoes. Apple pie (still have apples on the tree!) with added summer fruits, and the orange sponge with lemon icing. I'm also making quiche as I love it and sil is vegetarian - although she makes exceptions if she knows the provenance!
Hope everyone is well and happy shopping fritzi.

PlumSykes · 05/11/2010 11:16

I like these Moulin Roty dolls, and esp. the extra outfits.

How lovely is this?

Cold here today and in-laws arriving soon.

Bloss - food sounds yummy!

LTEC - have fun with your bonfire party - are you making lots of food too?

Bonpoint doll's clothes - jolly good job I don't live in Paris - I'd have no money at all Smile

hellsbelles · 05/11/2010 12:57

Lovely indeed Tracey. On a similar (though less spectacular theme)...I got this half price in the summer sale braclet. Expensive for silver plate I know...but I get complimented on it all the time.

I haven't caught up at all. Apologies all...I will most certainly as I love clicking on all the links.

Just dropping into say thanks for encouraging me to get this sequin dress - a big hit here (DH loves it). There is something slightly off with the shoulders (probably because of the draped back)...but with black opaques and The Cake Edelmans I still think it looks good. It is very short though so I'm possibly a little tiny bit mutton in it but lets ignore than shall we Wink. Also with all my discount vouchers it was a positive bargain.

carciofi · 05/11/2010 13:00

There is an Outnet sale next Friday.

Fritzi, hope your DD wasn't upset going to school today.

Blossoming, you sound like a great cook! You should definitely be a colour consultant, I would go to you.

Roary, lovely photo.

Zembo, just wondering how you are??

Lovely dolls. The baby is going to bring DD a doll so will bookmark those.

I'm looking forward to reading the Pippi Longstocking books to DD.

MM, I am jealous that your DD still has a nap! She is very cute, btw, I clicked on your photos to look at the pumpkin! What did you buy from Asos?

carciofi · 05/11/2010 13:03

Gorgeous dress, Hells

notyummy · 05/11/2010 13:24

My eyes!!!

Just had a scary naked lady sending me a message on FB.

I have no idea who she is....

The pleasures of modern life.

I will be back to catch up properly later. Just back from a run and v sweaty...

carciofi · 05/11/2010 13:28

That's why I deleted my Facebook account ... someone hacked in, posted nudie photos and started tagging my friends. Mortifying! I deleted my account immediately!

hf128219 · 05/11/2010 13:30

NY How funny! Well for me anyway!

What horrible weather. Off to a bonfire party/fireworks tonight.

Tracey Nice bracelet. Sleek.

DolceeBanana · 05/11/2010 13:52

just managed to speed read and noted these immediately...wow Marsha! Lovely swaeter...gorgeous pic! Are you taking commissions?

Bunny - so close...so exciting! Hope you are well and looking after you all.....Smile

We love books here...so pleased that Dcs enjoy reading...currently reading Amelia Jane and O'Clock Stories by EB...and also enjoy Treasure Island, James and the Giant Peach and Alice in Wonderland...plus DS will sit for ages with his 'Where's Wally?' or 'Ou est Charlie?' which a friend kindly bought recently...great for a bit of time out now and again...much needed at times!

Off to Calcot (Gumstool) tomorrow for lunch and then fireworks and sausages with a few friends....

DolceeBanana · 05/11/2010 13:53

Oh poor you NY and Carcioifi - that sounds frighteningly horrid!

traceybath · 05/11/2010 13:57

Dolcee we're at gumstool tomorrow night with in-laws Grin

Right - I want a pretty dress for DD for xmas - anyone seen any nice ones on their travles.

Also Bunny - papillion shoes how does their sizing compare to startrite - think may get the silver hebes . . .

hf128219 · 05/11/2010 14:00
