This way ladies....

OP posts:
hf128219 · 08/10/2010 22:42

bunny friends DD's are: Hero, Cecilia, Claudia, Iona, Flora - off the top of my head. I love Daisy (but I am biased).

Female (older) relatives on my side are Flora, Isabel, Dora, Emily, Ruby.

Just to get you started!! Smile

LetThemEatCake · 08/10/2010 22:49

Mani you need to take inspiration from verity who waited and watched for a fab pair of Lanvin shoes on ebay - and got them Smile

Verity have been thinking about you, am so pleased to hear from you. so wonderful that you are enjoying your course, despite hectic pace.

bunny beyond gorgeous

hf am playing Single Mum this weekend too (3rd in a row) - here's to you

mm face it, you have it in spades!! Gorgeous, approachable, not too boringly perfect, able to laugh at yourself, not too generic/ able to mix high street with designer, love of life, love of laughing - who wouldn't fall in love with you?? am half in love with you myself!

asos order update: after much dress up tonight, I am sitting here in the See trousers. How comfy they are!! wish such things had been around when i was still at an office (although one of my new jobs involves sitting on fb - can you imagine!!??)

BUT.

am going to size down as need to get it into my head that I am not the 'big girl' that I am in my head
am going to send back lace top - utterly lovely but not that special. Am also sending back this blouse - bit shapeless through the waist and if the bow is not tied perfectly (and who has the time?) looks a bit shit - MM what did you think? Keeping this lace top - perfectly adequate, but sending the white version back. And sending the boots back too - shame as great height for day with the dc but lack of openings meant diff to get on (high instep) and they were a bit tight on too - am sure there would've been some give but hey, will do flats (bikers/ belstaffs/ blochs/ ash) for day and stick with new edelman booties for work/ meetings

Strangeways you might like them here

that red dress!! I love the way it's styled with the camel scarf and the black booties ... I could do that ...

LetThemEatCake · 08/10/2010 23:18

those wanting metallic brogue-type shoes that fall between Primark and ££££ might be interested in these

AllBuggiedOut · 09/10/2010 00:00

Thanks for your kid words ladies. It feels really shitty right now but I know it will pass!

That is a sensational bump bunny! I love thinking of names. Although none of my boys have actually had a name until they're a good few days old. It takes us a while to find something that feels right Smile

Love the See dress LTEC

I'm disappointed that I can't make my Lily & Lionel scarf work either bloss & hells - mine's blue python but not on the site any more. Is the taupe quite brown-ish? And if so, do either of you fancy a swap?! Van't find it anywhere to link to, but will try and post a pic on my profile...

AllBuggiedOut · 09/10/2010 00:07

kind Blush

rufus101 · 09/10/2010 01:00

Oooh! names Bunny A subject dear to my heart. One that I loved was Sibeal (pronounced shibale) It's Gaelic for Isabel. Also Briony was on my list, as was Indira. You look absolutely fabulous. 30 weeks, and you are so neat and gorgeous. How do you do it?
ABO I missed your new in my first skim. Really sorry to hear it. I hope you're able to adjust and accomodate.

rufus101 · 09/10/2010 01:01

ABO just had a look at your scarf! it' gorgeous. Why can't you make it work? Is the colour wrong?

blossoming · 09/10/2010 06:22

abo, really sorry about your bad news. The zebra is more grey. Isn't this odd?

verity, great to hear from you, and so glad you're enjoying college.

Zembo · 09/10/2010 06:40

Morning ladies.

Verity glad it's going well. Must feel so good to be finally doing the course even though it's difficult actually fitting it into your life.

Abo things will work out for you soon I hope.

MM you sexy mama you! love your posts. Do expand on your story, these things never happen to me (anymore anyway).

Cake very wise re: the ASOS order, good decisions. Not surprisingly I like the See dress, esp the way it's styled.this is the sweater dress I wish I had love the colour.

Bunny you look beautiful. I'm useless with names, neither of mine had one for about 10 days Blush

Can't get my head around brogues, I'm def not fashionable (or tall) enough.

blossoming · 09/10/2010 07:51

bunny, you look fantastic. Are you due round Christmas?

OllieWollieWoo · 09/10/2010 08:08

Morning! Popped my ASOS cherry and got both of Starinstrangeways dresses - to be known as the Star Dress Smile - delivery over to here was only 2.27 pounds - had no idea it was so cheap! Thanks for putting me onto them Star.

Drinks with DS1's class parents was v nice -very sociable group. One of the new Mums cornered me tho and seemed very uptight about the impact of the older boys (ie my son amongst others) on her DSs behaviour! All a bit awkward - esp when she described DS1 as the alpha male of the class - so not true! I've seen her son get stuck in there with the rest of them! Turns out she didn't like him playing the Police game they play (police catch the thieves and put them in jail - which is under the slide). Made my excuses and went in search of a large refill at that point! Wish DH would have been there - he would have thought of something clever to say along the lines of 'you need to lighten up lady'!

No real plans for the WE - need to tidy the garden which is buried under a mountain of leaves. Am thinking of paying DSs to do it for me - eg 10cent for every bucket of leaves they sweep up - is that wrong?!!!

OllieWollieWoo · 09/10/2010 08:19

Sorry - meant to say ABO - sorry to read of your news. Very unsettling for you but hope something else comes along soon.

Bunny - you look amazing! Gorgeous bump - I'd be one of those annoying people who would reach out to pat it if I met you in RL!I like the name Bronte to add to the W&A mix!

blossoming · 09/10/2010 08:27

So I'm off to Chester wearing the FC outfit I'd bought in London especially, but had forgotten about!! Navy sleeveless, cowl neck see through tunic dress with waterfall detailing, great to show off shredded arms over lunch! With jeggings and new ankle boots. I have a navy vest underneath, so not seethrough and the cowl is too low without. Have a great day everyone.

FritziGreenEyes · 09/10/2010 08:36

Have a great day blossoming! Fab outfit.

Ollie what a cow... DD plays thief/ policemen with the boys at her kindergarten all the time. What is her problem? They are kids!!!

blossoming · 09/10/2010 08:40

Be careful of spam emails ollie. I keep having 50 or so a day after I signed up with asos.

hf128219 · 09/10/2010 08:53

ABO Meant to say sorry to hear the bad news. Am sure things will come good.

Bloss Outfit sounds fab. Have a great day.

I am wearing skinny jeans tucked into long brown boots (I still like that look), Jigsaw dark grey breton and camel Uniqlo cardigan.

Will put Hunters on later for a big walk with dd in her rucksack later today!

Zembo That Crumpet sweater dress is a lovely colour.

carciofi · 09/10/2010 09:02

Verity, Vino and Bunny, thanks!

Blossoming, have a good day shopping and let me know if you'd like me to get you the hat or scarf from Matches as a little thank you? My friend gave me a black Isabella Oliver dress so I have a few things now. I had no bump until 20 weeks last time, wonder if it will be the same this time. Bunny, you look fab.

Tracey, I like those boots, very like the Russell and Bromley ones.

MM, very funny about your dp putting the nappy on backwards.

I went out last night to dinner with a bunch of Irish girls. Louis Walsh and Jedward were sitting nearby so the girls were over getting autographs and photos for their kids. Nicole Farhi was there too, I was more impressed with her! I wore a black DVF dress but felt a bit tired and boring.

Verity, enjoy Paris!

LetThemEatCake · 09/10/2010 09:49

I know that most of you are far more domesticatedy-goddessy than I, and that cake baking is something that most of you do as easily as looking fabulous of a morning

but

if you ever wake up in a panic on a morning, realising that you need to make cake for your friend's child's fundraiser or similar this is the easiest recipe ever:

i cup SR flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup dess coconut
3/4 cup milk

combine all, mix well, bake in square tin at 180c for 30 min

bloss have a lovely time

AllBuggiedOut · 09/10/2010 10:09

Thanks again all. Much appreciated.

I thought it looked quite grey on the picture bloss. Shame, as I woke up thinking about it this morning Blush. Have a great day.

rufus I'm sure the colour would look great with black (which I don't wear). I'd hoped it would work with navy or dark brown but it just doesn't.

Cake sounds good LTEC

carciofi how very glamorous your evening sounds! But sorry you weren't at your best. Hopefully this will soon pass and you will begin to blossom!

Do you rate Hunters hf? Was thinking of putting a navy pair on my christmas list.

When I started to read your post oww I thought that at least she was gong to accuse the older boys of fighting or swearing! Sounds like the older boys are showing the younger ones how to play in a constructive, cooperative and non-violent manner Grin

hf128219 · 09/10/2010 10:16

I know it's not Style and Beauy but it is Avid and Wise - Mr and Mrs Smith are doing their 2 nights for the price of 1 - including places likes Whatley Manor and Lucknam Park - and at weekends for some!

Anyone a Times+ subscriber and have all the passwords already??

Here

carciofi · 09/10/2010 10:24

ABO, thanks, just feeling a bit tired and out again tonight. However, my friends aren't often over so going to enjoy it!

One of the girls was wearing this dress, really lovely.

carciofi · 09/10/2010 10:35

I used the on antibiotics excuse but one of my friends is a nurse and was asking which antibiotic, you can have a glass of wine. I couldn't think of anything and started laughing. So they all know.

Anyway, she said Flagyl is a good one to say you are on because you absolutely cannot have even the tiniest amount of alcohol when taking it. Just in case anyone else finds themselves in the same position!

hf128219 · 09/10/2010 10:58

carciofi very funny!

The passwords for Mr and Mrs Smith are: romantic, seduction, luxury, hideaway, retreat and boudoir

Just booked 2 nights at Lucknam Park for a weekend! Yipee!

rufus101 · 09/10/2010 12:15

Ah the old antibiotic excuse Carciofi. Everyone is wise to it! I used to just have a glass of wine in front of me, take the occasional sip, and nobody would ever notice, that your glass wasn't decreasing.
Blossoming your outfit sounds lovely. I must take some style lessons from you. Your outfits always sound like what I want to achieve, but never do.
look at these little beauties Am thinking they may fullfill my need for a shoe that I could wear with skinnies. (Maybe I am deluding myself) would go beautifully with this tartan skirt (Very £££, thankfully they don't have it in my size)
And isn't this top lovely? I love the shoulder detail. I always look for things like that to distract from my lower half, but emphasise my waist.
Also love this sweater dress

rufus101 · 09/10/2010 12:17

Love that LK Bennett dress Carciofi BTW
