LTEC Just cut the label out and you would be none the wiser Grin

hf128219 · 11/10/2010 22:44

Could be nice for layering

FritziGreenEyes · 11/10/2010 22:46

Navy on the Esprit website here You have to enter I2J300 to search for product. Sorry cannot do proper link.

OllieWollieWoo · 12/10/2010 08:36

Am having a big baking session today for the charity cake sale tomorrow. Made 6 lots of banana bread yesterday and now tackling the scones and shortbread. Wish I was a relaxed cook a la Nigella but sadly not - DS2 now running around in a cloud of flour!

Fritzi - great news re your job, well done you. Now, do you need a new work wardrobe????!

Have been looking for a short grey cord skirt but seen this M&S one which I thought could be nice despite it not being cord - website wont let me see it in grey tho.
here

Hells - possible dress for youhere?

notyummy · 12/10/2010 08:40

Loving all the lace, ladies.

LTEC - don't worry about the M & S thing - we wont tell Grin I am still coveting the beautiful silk skirt from them I have seen in magazines - it is still not online though!

Wearing black tulip skirt, cobalt blue silk top, lace tights and heels today. Feeling a bit chillier here.

Oooh, also meant to say - just started using my Clinique laser repairwear a few days ago and I think I see a difference!! So, if you meet a slightly raddled looking lady on Saturday....think about how much worse it could have been Grin

LetThemEatCake · 12/10/2010 09:16

oh thank you Zembo it's lovely but too big for me. I haven't (ahem) actually returned the other one. Yet. Yet.

thanks for all the coats ladies!! I really want 100% wool though rather than a mix ... sorry, picky I know

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2010 10:45

Notyummy I meant to ask you about the Repairwear stuff. Might need some too. Discovered a cold sore on my upper lip this morning eek. Sorry if TMI but it's not attractive.

Ollie I don't need new wardrobe for work as dresscode is veeeery casual. Will stick to my principle of overdressing I think.

Cake will continue search for coat. Maxmara is great for sharp cuts and quality. Can't find any online though. Is your DH back today? I so wanted to watchthe new Jamie O. series but not available here.

Morning everyone!

Love a good baking story ollie. My dad just came round to say that the male members of the chapel are cooking (??) dinner for the women next week and my dh needed to bake an apple pie. Hmm, that'll be me then. So in fact the women are doing the baking at home, and then the men are serving it to them. Very funny.

meetupladies, I have booked Hix at Selfridges for 1.45pm (I think that suits you fleecy, doesn't it?). I'll message you with my booking name.

I have had the most productive morning trying on my new clothes, seeing what stays and what goes, rescuing the Boden cardicoat from ebay, (I was getting rid because it's too big, but somehow, with the Jigsaw breton from summer, over black leggings, and with heeled boots, the proportions are right again).
I love my new woolen dresses, the Boden roll neck merino, the laura ashley zebra, and the Autograph grape which I can't find to link to. I bought chunky grey tights yesterday from M&S, which go with two of them. Black leggings are great with the zebra. Too short for opaques.
Everything topped off with my grey cashmere beret. I hope I have the nerve to wear it out and about. I think it suits me! May have to post a photo and you can all judge!

And then I seem to have talked myself out of needing a knee length coat. The above go with the Cameron somehow, especially when I leave it open, but belted iyswim. And also I have a puffer jacket, not too puffer, and fitted and black from Hobbs 6 years ago, and that goes with them too.
So I need no new clothes. Nothing else for Autum/Winter. Honest guv.

OllieWollieWoo · 12/10/2010 11:55

Bargain Alert - not S&B but the Playmobil Pirate Ship is half price in tescos - my lovely sister has just picked one up for the boys xmas present!
Back to baking!

ReineDeSaba · 12/10/2010 12:03

thanks for all the feedback on lace top query.

can't see your link i'm afraid yangy

lovely lace top zembo and I do like a bit of velvet too OWW..but must steel myself against putting the 2 materials together in a fit of stevie nicksGrin

also OWW usually do well priced cord skirts in lots of colours.

ran(v quickly!)through primark this morning and picked up olive brogues with 'lace' inserts for 12 pounds..will be looking hopefully at fleecy for styling tips.also picked up a rather nice oatmeal waterfall cardie but keep laughing at myself for describing it as 'oatmeal' as Everything in our home oatmeal coloured as covered in the stuff as we attempt blw!Grin

ReineDeSaba · 12/10/2010 12:09

ooh missed the baking thing..well done OWW..you must be exhausted..blossom..my dh loves to bake..had to redo dd1's birthday cake one year when I made a hash of it.

ltec..love those booties

blossoming · 12/10/2010 12:18

I have messaged everyone on notyummy's list yesterday, and bunny.
Anyone else able to make it, let me know.

reine, what is blw?

rufus101 · 12/10/2010 12:23

Blossoming so lucky not to colour your hair. Mine is very dark brown, which I don't feel suits me except in summer when I'm tanned.
NY sorry to hear about the job, I'm sure someone of your calibre won't be resting for long.
Thanks for the update on the clinique laser repairwear, kept meaning to ask. I'll be rushing out immediately.
Love all the lace. Particularly like that thermal one (!)HF!

hellsbelles · 12/10/2010 12:33

Just dashing in quickly as I'm at work. But thank you so much for all the jumper dress links. gorgeous all of them! I think we should do a matchy matchy Cake. It will bring back Tam Tam memories. It is a gorgeous dress...though I'm confused by the mention of red...it looks bright pink on my screen.

Also I'm still tempted by your see trousers. Did you get the belt too? I couldn't work out which one it was from the many millions on Asos!

Plus Tracey and OWW - you were both spot on with your links. I shall be looking in great detail later on but very promising.

Yangy - can't seem to get your boots link to work.

reallygrumpy · 12/10/2010 12:34

ReineDeSaba · 12/10/2010 12:46

oops..i'm a slow typer..EIE has revealed allSmile

blossoming · 12/10/2010 12:55

Thanks for clearing that up eie, and reine.

My dd is one on Thursday. I've asked ltec to link her birthday cake book before and am regretting not ordering it.
They all want the orange sponge with lemon icing from Tana Ramsey's first book whatever. Maybe a novelty cake next year.

rufus, once the grey hairs come through I'll be colouring full speed!

ReineDeSaba · 12/10/2010 13:12

Tana recipe sounds delicious blossom..I am going to seek that one out..first birthdays are so cute...hope you have a lovely time together.

AllBuggiedOut · 12/10/2010 13:19

Reine who do cord skirts in lots of colours? Looking for dark brown...

Off to play with the new phone DH has just bought for me - a Galaxy S. I see he's not letting the redundancy affect his spending... Am hoping this will mean I can keep up with this thread whilst on the move!

notyummy · 12/10/2010 13:26

Reallygrumpy - Quelle horreur! It was DH who did DDs cake, and he would go into a decline if I tried to claim credit Grin I have a feeling he got the castle receipe from the BBC Good Food site, which is an excellent source for many things actually. It is basically just a 2 x choc sponges, with mini choc rolls for turrets and ice cream cones for spires....pics still on profile I think!
