DD's name = Lucia Smile glad you like it! DS has boring English name Hmm as P insisted
bunny v exciting to have 3 DDs, I love naming baby girls

monkeysmama what park cafe is this!? Grin

happilyeverafter · 11/10/2010 18:10

Congrats Fritzi!

I'm on my third outfit today due to a run in with DD and a punnet of raspberries this lunchtime then managed to throw a jar of cumin down my top. I'm working tonight otherwise would have been straight to pjs!

My DD has an italian name too although we are all very anglo looking.

AllBuggiedOut · 11/10/2010 18:12

Loving the sound of your outfit LTEC - is your skirt current? Am looking for a short dark brown skirt. Had my heart set on cord but failing to find one, and wonder if denim would work...

I'm wearing orange Toast tunic dress, with brown diamond pattern tights and brown shoe boots. For the park this afternoon I added big rust jersey scarf and sunnies. Got quite a few compliments and felt really good! Although when I saw the photos of DS3 & me taken by the toddler group photographer this morning I did think that I really need to do something about my hair...

Zembo · 11/10/2010 19:30

Oooh ABO I've been getting loads of wear out of that Toast tunic dress, really love the shape - if still in stock may well get the orange one in the sales.

Fritzi great news

Reine good to hear from you and thanks for the lipstick rec - I've added to my list of reds to try (MAC russian red, Chanel pirate and NARS jungle red) when I actually manage to get to some shops Grin

Tracey what size did you get in those james jeggings - I'm wondering if I should give them a go since the Fritzi ones didn't work for me. I think 25 should be ok, but now wondering if 24 might be a better bet if they start to give??

LTEC another recipe I can't wait to try! I'm also after a single breasted coat but haven't looked for one yet - double breasted just looks wierd on me (which is why Roman I was so pleased you got the burberry trench as I fear they'll look crap on me) - I got a grey wool one in Hobbs a few years ago and still like it, but would like a brighter colour.

Roman all those lovely names, come and join me in ttc Grin! I really don't enjoy selecting names so v impressed with you lot.

AllBuggiedOut · 11/10/2010 19:37

LTEC remind me of the coat brief? Thought this was similar to the one you linked to but with a less prissy (love that word) collar.

Romanarama · 11/10/2010 19:44

But it would be another boy Zembo. Mind you, I've got loads of boys names left: Costantino, Dante, Leone. That'll probably do Grin

Mind you, I know someone who had triplets spontaneously recently - 2 identical and one not. Apparently it's incredibly unusual. Luckily it was dc1 for them, and they are young!

My boss has been a total nob today. Really horrid Sad. Am having a beer and applying for a different job Grin

AllBuggiedOut · 11/10/2010 19:49

Boys are good roman Grin (remind me how many you have already?)

notyummy · 11/10/2010 19:49

Sorry to hear about your boss Roma - am Angry on your behalf.

We got our closure semi-confirmed today. End of March. Brings it home a bit...so meet-up ladies, if I am maainlining wine/cocktails and laughing manically, imminent redundancy is my excuse Grin

OP posts:
Zembo · 11/10/2010 19:56

Roman boys are lush - I'm going to be very non-pc and say I'd really love another boy (although would be thrilled with a girl too) - apparantly chances of conceiving a girl increase with age, and you could further increase chances by charting etc if you can be bothered I really wanted a boy second time around so did a bit of the gender choosing stuff and it worked! All a bit of a taboo subject but I feel safe enough to admit it on this thread (please don't kick me off). I'm sure a lot of people would love to choose the sex of their children but would never say it out loud.

carciofi · 11/10/2010 19:57

Thanks Reine and Looby!

Reine, I think the lace top under a silk blouse would work.

Happily, your dd is gorgeous and the dress is fab.

Hells, I bought a navy knitted dress from the White Co recently, not very exciting but nice on.

Fritzi, enjoy the Prosecco!

Roma, great names. I especially love the name Dante despite unhappy memories of La Divina Commedia.

Zembo, I heard that Burberry Brick Red is a good, suits everyone red lipstick but have not tried it.

carciofi · 11/10/2010 19:58

NY and Roma, sorry about the work troubles.

AllBuggiedOut · 11/10/2010 20:03

I'm sure you're right zembo. If we were to ttc DC4 and somebody asked me to choose, I'd say a girl (well, twin girls actually) just because it's nice to fantasise about being girly together, shopping (of course!) and being a maternal grandmother. But a big part of me would also want it to be another boy to add to my "team". Lord I'm indecisive - it's a good job I don't get to choose!

hf128219 · 11/10/2010 20:06

NY Roma Not so good about work woes and worries.

Well I don't like this weather. You leave home at 05.30 (when it's cold) and by lunchtime you look like you are dressed for winter! Smile

Will pop back later to catch up properly.

mrsjuan · 11/10/2010 20:34

Evening all,
Welcome Looby - I love baby names too & you've picked some great ones.

Gosh NY - you are doing well to keep so calm. Hope it all works out well one way or another

Zembo - that's really interesting that the gender choosing stuff worked for you. If I'm being really honest I was pleased that DD was a girl (if only for the fact that I know even less about baby boys than I did about girls) but when and if I have another I have absolutely no preference & can see the bonuses about each. Crikey you must be tiny in your 24 jeggings!

Roma - love your names, sorry about nobby boss - enjoy your beer!

Bloss - I saw that zebra dress in Laura Ashley the other day and instantly thought of this thread Grin

Cake - I like the sound of your outfit - beautiful day here today too.

I wore the blue star dress which came this morning today with leggings and ankle boots + denim jacket. Very pleasing!

Had a good haul in TK maxx today. Monday is deffo the best day to go (here anyway) as they seem to get lots of new stock in. Got a lovely grey coat & a bargainous Calvin Klein dress. Esher they had quite a few coats like the fake fur ones you were talking about - might be worth a look.

Also got some paige and COH jeans but they will be going back as they are not quite right. Think I will have to accept that my legs will never look how I want them to (i.e skinny) in jeans!

rufus101 · 11/10/2010 20:55

Thanks Blossoming for the hair recommendation. Do you get colour there too? Would love the badinage (sp?), rather than block colour.
Was secretly pleased Dc 3 was a boy! And he is such a pet. The sweetest tempered child ever.
Happily think the shoeboots sound like a lovely idea for that dress too.

loobylu3 · 11/10/2010 21:08

Sorry to hear about your dreadful boss Roma- I've had one in the past so sympathies!

vinvin- Lucia is such a lovely name- exotic yet familar. I couldn't use it though as too similar to my own name.

I have 2 DDs and 1 DS and think that DDs are harder work (lovely though)!

I tried this on in John Lewis the other day and it is v pretty and lovely silk.
www.johnlewis.com/145813/Style.aspx

They also have it 'nude' colour, which shows the style a little better:
www.johnlewis.com/145810/Style.aspx

Can I ask if you like it and what you would wear it with for work. I was thinking maybe a navy pencil skirt but haven't spotted one as yet. Do you think grey would work?

Romanarama · 11/10/2010 21:11

Well of course lots of people have preferences. If I knew it would be a girl (twins even better) then I'd have dc4 right away. All silly really as my boys are perfect - way superior to any other children in the whole world - but there it is. They don't want to go to the ballet with me, you see.

Ny, I'm in awe of how together you are. There are no plans 'at present' for compulsory redundancy chez nous. Today I'd have cracked open the champers though tbh :o

Romanarama · 11/10/2010 21:17

Can't open JL website for some reason, Looby

FritziGreenEyes · 11/10/2010 21:28

roma Hope you can forget about stupid boss behaviour soon.

notyummy Sorry to hear about your job situation. Laughing manically and alcohol seem an appropriate coping strategy to enjoy an evening out despite it all. Hope the other ladies will support you on Saturday.

mrsjuan Your shopping trip to TKMaxx sounds successful.

loobylu Saw that Phase 8 blouse in the shop the other day. Think they also did it in uni colours which I personally like better but blue/flower pattern also nice. You could wear with pencil skirt or skinny trousers. Zara usually have a good selection of skirts.

traceybath · 11/10/2010 21:33

Hells - I like this Think it would suit you.

Romana - Nasty boss and go on - have another baby Grin

Zembo - I got the 26's and they fit well but haven't worn them properly so don't know how much they'll give. Seemed snugger than j brands of that size but they may stretch.

blossoming · 11/10/2010 21:59

Congrats on the new job fritzi.

Sorry for your boss troubles romanarama.

notyummy, there may be a problem overindulging at meet-up... in the middle of Selfridges! New choos anybody?!
Just did a different Jillian Michaels DVD, not realising it was 7(!) 6 minute circuits rather than my normal 3. I'm slumped like bag of spuds with a beetroot face. Lovely.

rufus, I don't colour my hair, which is probably how I can enjoy a cut in an expensive salon!!

notyummy · 11/10/2010 22:03

Hmmm, good point, Blossoming - maybe the credit card should stay at home. There is less damage i can do with a debit card... Hope you don't hurt too much tomorrow after your exercise - but think of the toning benefits of all those circuits Grin

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 11/10/2010 22:22

Thanks for the coat links Roma and ABO- have checked out the IO Crsoby before and like the shape but not the available colours.

really just want single breasted, sharpish silhouette, nowt too prissy, long sleeves, in pure wool and colour - red or navy.

Of course my sod of a mum went up to her hometown to visit her oldest friend/ bridesmaid the other day and came home with a charity shop coat beautiful navy, wool and cashmere - £10. Angry She is bigger than I so I can't even nick it.

ABO no the skirt is an old one I'm afraid but pretty standard Diesel fare, am sure that they or maybe Uniqlo? would have something that would work? always worth checking ebay too ...

sorry about work woes Roma and NY

Nice work on the TK haul MrsJ - describe the CK dress for us!

hells I think you and I should have a Tam Tam moment and both get the see by Chloe red dress here I love the way they've styled it with the camel scarf and the black tights and shoeboots.

I have just been for a good long run on the track at the Crystal Palace sports ground. Footy team were training. Measure of how much I am looking fwd to return of dh that I didn't even look up at potential eye candy, just blasted daft music and thought about work/ kids/ friends/ clothes/ what o make dh for welcome home brekkie tomorrow (answer - nothing as will be doing nursery run and will have no time Grin)

Right, need sleep, was up late last night, On plus side, got told today that my work is 'perfect'. Amazing what a bottle a night of red wine can achieve ... Grin

LetThemEatCake · 11/10/2010 22:30

oh one more thing the exchanged see by chloe trousers arrived today - I ordered too large and had to size down, anyway they are lovely and am keeping despite being quiet a lot exxier than IO ones .. have phone IO and told them not to bother sending the ones I ordered in their birthday sale.

tried today with new boottees and lace tee and think it looked quite alright

would like a lace dress btw and am ashamed to say that the only ones I've seen that I like are in M&S here and possibly here but not styled like that, yikes. WDYT?

FritziGreenEyes · 11/10/2010 22:37

cake Red single breasted but military and ahem Per Una
