Hello all!

Cake - come back we neeeeeed you to tell us about your holiday....

OP posts:
DolceeBanana · 07/09/2010 14:03

Hi!

Well ABO - DS did indeed trip happily off to school this pm....so excited about the prospect of PE...awwwww....as did DD to her nursery (or pre-school, as she prefers to call it!!) this morning...

So just baby and me (baby napping)....ooh, what can I do with myself? Okay, virtual shopping.... Wink

Have prawns for tonight....as DH away and a big fat copy of Marie Claire, and an early night planned....

Feeling very tired and in need of some cosy clothes...looking for some nice sleeveless long cardi's to wear with long tees etc....feeling that autumn chill despite the superficial sunshine! Brrrrrrrr.....(okay, just want some new clothes)....

DolceeBanana · 07/09/2010 14:04

Yes, T - Barbour is lovely....fab choice and love the colour too

blossoming · 07/09/2010 14:18

rufus, on NAP, they're styling them with slouchy tees and skyscraper heels. Lovely.

I style mine (m&s, the shame!!) with flats in s/s and riding type boots in a/w, with long tops. I find I have to have my bum covered in jeggings. Maybe that fat face check shirt?

Great you like the barbour traceyb. Wonder where mine is?
Happy online shopping dolcee, and carciofi, what of the houlihans?

blossoming · 07/09/2010 16:40

My Barbour arrived. It's really stylish, warm, but slightly large!! It's the perfect waterproof bum covering coat and the hood comes off too. The holy Grail is found at last. I've ordered a size down to compare, but definitely a keeper.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/09/2010 17:01

everything - I don't even know the shop that I linked to. Was just looking for a UK shop which sells that particular suitcase online. Your business idea sounds exciting!

traceybath · 07/09/2010 17:27

Yeay for the barbour bloss and double yeay for you needing a smaller size Smile

Right - so today I have eaten some prawns, 2 hard boiled eggs and a piece of grilled steak. Feel full and slightly sick. Forgot to buy yoghurts and oat bran so will do that tomorrow.

I don't suppose I'm allowed wine am I [pleading emoticon]

hf128219 · 07/09/2010 17:40

Is wine not the key to the success of the Dukan? Wink

notyummy · 07/09/2010 17:40

Absolutely no wine young lady...!

In fact, think of anything you would luurrvvee to have right now, and I can pretty much guarantee you can't have it Grin

But it will almost certainly work.....

blossoming · 07/09/2010 17:42

traceyb, I couldn't find oatbran so bought wheatbran to eat with my yoghurts. Quite weird. Sounds like you're having a great first day of dukan. Think of the weight loss!!

traceybath · 07/09/2010 17:44

Good job DH away as will be in bed just after children tonight so not near the kitchen Grin

bunjies · 07/09/2010 17:56

Hellooooo...I'm back.

Haven't been able to catch up with the old thread so will start atgain with this one. Although may have to find link to Esher's Temperley dress as I'm dying to know what it looks like.

Esher - I was also going to suggest Zara for bags but I see Bunny got there first.

Bunny - that LK Bennet bag is yum.

I would love to come to the meet-up as I'm over in the UK for 10 days from Saturday but as I unfortunately (or fortunately I suppose) have an interview in Newbury on the Friday I think I ought to be a good girl and have an early night!

In preparation for said interview I have ordered some drseses as potential for the day. This, this and this although I suspect the last one might be a risque for the NHS!

OllieWollieWoo · 07/09/2010 18:25

Hi Bunjies - nice to have you back! Loved the FB pics of your hols. Congrats on the interview. Lovely dresses - esp like the first one. Have you seen the ones on Great Plains at the mo here? - am quite taken with the navy Mimi dress and the Lauren tweed dress but unless I get it for playing offices with the kids, I have no opportunity to wear them. But may invest just in case of needing them one day.....
Fleecy - have a great holiday - hope its worth the wait. This is a lovely time of year to go away - always used to go around now too. Trouble with having a main holiday in June is that the rest of the year seems to really drag!

notyummy · 07/09/2010 18:38

Nice dresses Bunjies - think I like the first the best.Congrats on securing the interview. Also, some of those Great Plains ones are lovely OWW.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/09/2010 18:51

Welcome back bunjies and well done on getting interview! Like the Banana Republic dress best.

tracey - Are you at least allowed some nice peppermint tea? I know no replacement for a glass of wine but still something nice to get you through this evening until bedtime maybe?

bunjies · 07/09/2010 19:32

Yes, I prefer the Banana Republic one too, but whilst I dithered about whether to go for it or not they sold out of the size 12 so have had to go for the 14 instead. Part of me wants it to fit as I love it so much but the other would be Angry if it did as I don't want to be a size 14!

Some lovely dresses there OWW but I suspect they would all look terrible on me because of the high necks.

Forgot to wish you a happy holiday too Fleecy. Have a great time.

thirstymerc · 07/09/2010 19:41

Evening ladies! De-lurking once again to suggest these boots to MonkeysMama.
I am coveting them myself, a little like the Ugg Kensingtons no?

dexter73 · 07/09/2010 19:42

Just looked on the Barbour website and there is a long version of traceys Anya Hindmarch coat that has got me weak at the knees!

traceybath · 07/09/2010 19:45

Dexter I dillied and dallied over the long or short version and went for short as I have a long timberland duvet coat and thought they'd be too similar.

However the barbour is much lighter but I do love the short one too.

They're on my-wardrobe too and mn'ers are meant to get a 10% discount on that site.

Wheres hells - wanted to pick her brains re dukan as seem to recall she took a few days for teh weight to fall off. I know what i'm like and if half a stone hasn't gone by tomorrow I'll have lost interest Hmm

AllBuggiedOut · 07/09/2010 19:47

Hurrah for de-lurking thirsty Smile Like the boots.

And dexter am also weak at the knees over the thought of the long Barbour in dark brown Grin

Can you tell us more about your business idea everything?

dexter73 · 07/09/2010 19:48

The thing is I already have 6 (yes 6) different Barbour coats and I fear another one may tip dh over the edge! In my defence all bar one are from the outlet store in Portsmouth.

traceybath · 07/09/2010 19:55

Tell him its an Anya Hindmarch coat instead Wink

Sure thats not necessarily the most helpful piece of advice.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/09/2010 20:08

Those boots are great thirsty! Oh, and welcome of course Smile.

I'm still undecided about which boots to get for A/W. Ideally would love a pair of heeled ankle boots to wear with skinnies/dresses and a pair of biker boots, preferably these. Will have to wait until I sign new work contract... Does anybody know if Belstaffs are very wide on the calves? Maybe you could tighten them a bit with the buckle?

blossoming · 07/09/2010 21:22

Hi everyone. Just sitting down! Took dc1 to rugby training which he loved between 6 and 7 - very late for us. Then cooked for dh, then shredded. Phew! Glass of wine sounds good to me now. Can I drop 6 lbs before my b'day though? That's the new challenge (3 weeks).

Ooh fritzi, those boots are gorgeous!! And grey too. They would be perfect for me as brown is banned from my 'winter' wardrobe. So much more interesting than black.
