eie can't help but laugh at the "one pair is never enough". at £45 a pair? I beg to differ Grin

hf128219 · 14/09/2010 22:37

If anyone could ladder those tights it would be me - before I left the house Grin

reallygrumpy · 14/09/2010 22:41

I've just ordered these wedge boots which don't look too high but they are suede (and from Clarks!) got 20% off with code BTS2010. They should arrive in the next few days so I'll see if they're any good....

Fritz i really like the messenger bag

blossom and zembo thanks for the advice about Barbour sizing. I'll probably order one tomorrow

LTEC can you post the link to your blog again please? I've got it bookmarked on the laptop but not on my phone. Thanks!

Thanks! Have ordered grey.

Have added Brora tights to my shopping list for London.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 15/09/2010 09:26

You know LTEC I think women get BETTER at "fashion" as we get older as we know what suits us more and can interpret the current look for what looks good on us and I think that's a VERY important part of fashion rather than just taking a 'look' straight off the catwalk IYSWIM.

Fritzi like the grey messenger bag as well.

TWAS Love the boots, despite the fact I would never wear them as they have a heel. Love the KG ones as well but don't have that sort of cash for atm..

Ooooh I fancy some wedge heeled ankle boots too and love those clarks ones.

Also love those brora tights.

Its sunny here today but cold so wearing the white co poncho which has proved to be a good buy.

Oh and DD is nearly 14 months and only says mummy and look however she is very good at copying the boys burping Hmm.

florenceuk · 15/09/2010 09:37

Just dashing in to ask a question. I ordered some black riding type boots earlier (can't find them on the site now) but Yoox has just posted these:

biker boots

and these brown boots both of which I love - what do you think? Any views?

LetThemEatCake · 15/09/2010 09:58
Shock

was totally joking about age/ fashion

sometimes I forget that you ladies don't actually know me Grin

rufus101 · 15/09/2010 10:51

Well I think you look like a supermodel Cake. Think that gilet looks fabulous on you, and I love the boots. I can't seem to get my footwear right with skinnies.
I tried on a pair of KG motorcycle boots yesterday and LOVED them. Am wondering of the motorbike trend us over though? I thought they looked really good but now have instead of 1 pair of boots for winter, 3 pairs on my wishlist.(how did that happen?!)
List comprises-
Black motorbike.
Brown clumpy style with chunky heel (with no embellishments)
And NOW wedge boots aka RG's Clarks ones. Will my boot obsession ever end?!

traceybath · 15/09/2010 10:52

Outnet had a Louboutin sale this morning - all seemed to go very quickly indeed.

Think I may order RG's clarks ones with the discount code - they'd look fine with skirts/dresses too wouldn't they?

If you have the legs of a baby giraffe Tracey! (which you probably do!)

traceybath · 15/09/2010 11:10

Rufus - don't you think they're just like shoeboots really?

Don't want my legs to look even stumpier than usual.

I see in NAP they've got similar styled with grey knee length socks and shorts - anyone going to be working that look Wink

traceybath · 15/09/2010 11:14

Nice shorter gilet for those who are interested.

Suspect its one for the taller ladies amongst us.

Tracey I think you have to wear dark tights with dark shooboots and go for shorter skirt to lenghten the leg, but then I have long body and shorter legs so am always trying to add cm (if only inches!) to my legs. Jeepers! That sentence was whaay too long. Hope it made sense!

blossoming · 15/09/2010 11:48

What I would like are some platform shoeboots (for my imaginary life of course!) and some really high flat riding boots. I have flys, essential really, and some black chunky boden boots (41) from last year, worn twice. Must get rid of unwise purchases. I also have 3 pairs of jc boots, one as you may remember, unworn.

Is there a national obsession with boots? I just love the way those ankle platform shoeboots look with skinny jeans. If there was ever a time to purchase lovely things it's now, with lots of socializing to do with my 40th on the horizon. But then, shoes are hidden under tables, and I have much more of a problem finding great tops.
What about shoeboots with the bec dress? Edgy??

Inspired by fritzi, I cleared my wardrobe yesterday. Ugly, shapeless, drab, post pregnancy clothes from last winter. Already with the salvation army!!
It's really worth the sacrifice of sugar to be a 12 again, when I tried the old clothes on it really hit home. And after months of trying I can now do the first abs exercise of level 3!!

rufus101 · 15/09/2010 11:58

Well done Bloss!!! on your way to that 6 pack.
I love the way shooboots look with skinny jeans too, but when I try the look on me, I just can't seem to get it right. (Must try harder) Saw some nice Fly boots on javari.co.uk site. Am sure you'd like. Have a small chunky square heel. Will link later. On iPhone dossing at the mo.

blossoming · 15/09/2010 12:34

I've seen the most impractical beautiful black suede shoeboots in Russell & Bromley. I may have to purchase come Saturday!! (Blame the almost 40 trauma!)

TwasEverThus · 15/09/2010 12:41

From O'Keeffe in Esher, Esher Wink

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 15/09/2010 12:50

Hurrah my mother has just agreed to pay for colour analysis for my b'day. Very excited.

blossoming my DH does something magical to suede to make it Libra-proof will ask when he gets home tonight.
