A poll on flavours

Some of you may know I have friends who have their own brand of e-cigs. They are currently moving more and more into the battery & tank set-up rather than cigalikes, and are increasing their range of liquid flavours. I was hoping that some of you could suggest types of flavour they should be thinking of trialling. Currently they tend to look at flavours they themselves think they will like, and half a dozen people isn't the widest range of tastes!

Bear in mind that these guys have the liquids made & packaged in large quantities out in China (as they do their kit), and every batch is lab tested when it comes into the UK. So a very different set up to most of the liquid shops in the UK, who mix small quantities often to order and can offer a massive range.

Currently they do 3 tobacco flavours, menthol, apple, watermelon, energy drink, a strawberry, wild cherry and blueberry. Currently trialling a grape flavour which I'm going to vote a resounding yes for them to put into production.

So guys & gals - what direction do you nest of vaping vipers think they should be looking at next? 2-3 flavours which I can recommend they trial next please.

Vanilla custard
Apple pie
Coffee - I prefer an espresso type flavour, but many people like something a bit more cappucino

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 09:48

A version of vanilla is on my list too. They do it in their cigalike cartomisers & I much prefer it to the couple of other brands I've tasted. I'm actually pretty surprised they don't do a coffee flavour already TBH, as one of them really likes decent coffee.

I'm seeing them tomorrow anyway, so will definitely suggest those 3 to them Smile

I've really loved amaretto and banana chocolate.

Raia · 29/04/2014 10:36

Another vote for vanilla custard

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 11:10

RY4 and RY6
Gingerbread
Forest fruits
Hazelnut
Coffee
Vanilla

magimedi · 29/04/2014 11:18

A tobacco flavour that is neither sweet nor tastes of rotting compost & bonfires!

The only one I can find is my beloved Sherlock & it worries me that I only like one flavour!

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 12:09

They do have a choice of 3 different tobacco flavours already. The Red I use doesn't taste too sweet to me (their old one did, but they changed it Grin).

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 17:21

Yeah but unless they are RY4, RY6 and magi's The Sherlock (keep meaning to get some of that to try) they are The Wrong Tobacco Flavours Grin

Don't know if it's true but I read somewhere that RY4 is the most popular flavour worldwide.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 17:22

but it is quite sweet, it's tobacco + caramel + vanilla

magimedi · 29/04/2014 17:43

Plenty PM me your address & I'll send you a bottle of Sherlock - I have an ecig wizard shop just down the road & have to go in in the next few days. Their postage is quite steep if you just want one bottle from on line.

What strength do you want - 18 I am assuming?

Raia · 29/04/2014 17:45

What does the "RY" stand for?

I tried some Dekang RY6 and it was just about the most foul thing I've ever tasted - took ages to get rid of the stench after I tipped it down the kitchen sink. Bleurgh.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 17:45

Only if I can do a swap! Have you tried RY6? If not would you like to? It has a hint of Gauloise about it.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 17:47

hahaha excellent x post Grin I've not been a fan of any Dekang liquids, mind you.

RY stands for RuYan which is the company that invented the formula many years ago and is no longer in existence.

onlyjoking9329 · 29/04/2014 17:50

My favs are
Aniseed
Cherry menthol
Caramel

I would love someone to do
Baileys
Parma violet
Chocolate orange

FanFuckingTastic · 29/04/2014 17:54

I have an Irish Cream flavour, which I reckon must be like Baileys, but it's a bit rubbish. Way too sweet and no kick.

Nutella flavour might be nice.

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 17:54

Alchemists cupboard do a chocolate orange Smile.

Gorja · 29/04/2014 17:57

Red Astaire

By far the best flavour I have tried.

YesJesseARobot · 29/04/2014 17:59

onlyjoking The Alchemists cupboard do those although the violet one is being careful of copyright Grin here - I'm vaping it now and it's a perfect match.

I tried an Irish Cream flavour but it was grim. A realistic Baileys would be awesome.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 18:00

I've got a hangsen parma violets here that I've been scared to try. I might give it a whirl now.

Bifauxnen · 29/04/2014 18:05

Coffee is the only flavour I've really liked. My friend lets me try hers as she's always experimenting but she really likes the fruit flavours and I found them too sweet.

Bifauxnen · 29/04/2014 18:07

Would quite like a fish n chips one. Or a fry-up one.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 18:11

hmm can't decide if that's nice or nasty. It doesn't taste exactly like parma violets. It has a hint of rose in it. I have a dekang rose which is like vaping soap. This is not as bad as that.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 18:14

Bifaux, I wish savoury flavours worked but aparrently they really don't. If you go on youtube and search 'satan's anus juice game' you can find some entertaining videos of people attempting to vape bacon, crab and tuna flavours.

Is this all helpful Allergic?

YesJesseARobot · 29/04/2014 18:14

Turkish Delight tastes of soap to me.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 18:18

Yes I was thinking of mixing a turkish delight flavour with the rose and various fruit dregs Grin

One that I found surprisingly nice was lavendar. A little overpowering on its own but good mixed with black tea.
