A poll on flavours

Some of you may know I have friends who have their own brand of e-cigs. They are currently moving more and more into the battery & tank set-up rather than cigalikes, and are increasing their range of liquid flavours. I was hoping that some of you could suggest types of flavour they should be thinking of trialling. Currently they tend to look at flavours they themselves think they will like, and half a dozen people isn't the widest range of tastes!

Bear in mind that these guys have the liquids made & packaged in large quantities out in China (as they do their kit), and every batch is lab tested when it comes into the UK. So a very different set up to most of the liquid shops in the UK, who mix small quantities often to order and can offer a massive range.

Currently they do 3 tobacco flavours, menthol, apple, watermelon, energy drink, a strawberry, wild cherry and blueberry. Currently trialling a grape flavour which I'm going to vote a resounding yes for them to put into production.

So guys & gals - what direction do you nest of vaping vipers think they should be looking at next? 2-3 flavours which I can recommend they trial next please.

Spangles flavour would be good to vape. I loved them.

Bifauxnen · 29/04/2014 18:33

Plentyofpubegardens, that's disappointing. best review given on the crab one is "it's not wholly repulsive". Shame.

Bifauxnen · 29/04/2014 18:36

It's also a testament to my trusting nature that I actually googled 'satan's anus juice game'.

Lora1982 · 29/04/2014 19:11

I saw hot dog flavour on fasttech last night wasn't tempted enough to get it. I was excited to try skittle but it's a big let down, as was strawberry&lime. So its back to the starting line finding my perfect flavour for now.

Raias choc chip ice cream she sent smells divine

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 19:20

Bifaux Grin

I've mixed a splosh of vanilla in with the parma violets and it's lush Smile

Hazelnut and espresso mixed is quite nice if you don't have a sweet tooth.

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 19:35

Yes thanks Plenty. These friends aren't going to go for anything too out of the very ordinary as they have literally thousands of bottles made in each batch run, and hundreds for each limited edition "trial" run, so have to be sure it will be popular enough to sell leads.

I think coffee, vanilla or similar, and maybe something along the lines of caramel seem to be the most "normal" flavours that people here vape. I think they actually have some of the flavourings blended specifically for them; I know they "tweaked" the Red tobacco a few months back & their grape is the least "perfumey" than a couple of others I've tried.

The flavours they do are very nice & they are absolutely paranoid about quality and testing - pity they are so damned expensive Sad.

Oh go on, tell them MN says menthol bacon is a winner Grin

magimedi · 29/04/2014 19:47

What is expensive, Allergic ?

Plenty - You have already sent me those other tobacco flavours - which I didn't like & passed on to my postie, who loved 'em, & now will put parcels in my shed!! So you have already got brownie points in the stratosphere from me.

PM me your berluddy address & stop being so British & reticent. NOW!! Grin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 19:57

Blush OK Grin

Raia · 29/04/2014 20:24

Menthol bacon! guffaw Grin

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 20:56

Magi they charge £5 for 10ml for their e-liquid, and £13.20 for 30ml. So my friends aren't exactly the cheapest - though the quality 7 safety are top notch and the packaging is posh & pretty.

You going to give us a link Allergic??

Am fascinated now!

Allergictoironing · 29/04/2014 23:07

Sure.

They started out just cigalikes, initially as a franchise for another make but soon moved into having their own made. Branched out into proper battery & tank systems last autumn. The whole family vape, as do the staff who used to smoke, and as I said are pretty paranoid about quality & safety.

They have cute little mini tanks that fit on their cigalike batteries, so very small & lightweight.

I'm late to this but I've tried:

yogurt
cream
lemon tea

all from a discontinued range from a Dutch website and can't track them down from a British vendor.

Allergictoironing · 02/05/2014 06:53

Only managed to get 5 mins with the guy who I needed to talk flavours with as he had a meeting elsewhere. Spoke about vanilla (which they used to do in the cartomisers) & he was receptive, when I said coffee he looked shocked & very surprised. I will try again next time I get to see him, probably next week.

Keep the thoughts coming people - remember we are talking comparatively simple "single flavour" liquids that are worth them doing in bulk.

Cantabile · 02/05/2014 09:36

If I'm not too late, then butterscotch definitely. It is my fave.

Allergictoironing · 02/05/2014 09:50

Oh there's no rush at all. This will be an on-going thing as they slowly expand their flavour range over months or even years. My challenge is persuading them that certain types of flavours will be popular, even if none of the family themselves like them.

Hoping to get a decent amount of time for a chat next time I'm down there, and will definitely be pushing for them to trial vanilla, coffee & either butterscotch or caramel as a minimum based on the feedback here to date Smile

Chocolate is quite versatile and different to what is already on offer. It's nice with cherry or banana, orange and strawberry, but also toffee, caramel, mint or coffee.

Cantabile · 02/05/2014 11:08

Caramel is very versatile so if they were going to choose either that or butterscotch then I'd advise caramel. I mix it with all sorts, rather as YesJesse uses chocolate. I've not mixed butterscotch with anything as I think it's just wonderful on its own. My bro mixes it with apple though.

YesJesse, which chocolate are you using? I tried a chocolate, but didn't like it so sent it to an Evangeliser on one of those threads! I'd still like to find a nice one though.

Raia · 02/05/2014 11:47

I'd love to find a good butterscotch juice, preferably one that tastes just like butterscotch angel delight - any recommendations? Tried one from Puffin e liquids but it doesn't taste of much even after steeping Confused

YesJesseARobot · 02/05/2014 11:49

The only chocolate that tastes rich enough for me is by JAC vapour. I wasn't impressed by hangsens especially.

YesJesseARobot · 02/05/2014 11:54

Gah, it wasn't hangsen. That is worth a try imo. I think it was a socialites juice that was basically milk with a hint of choc.

OohQuack · 02/05/2014 14:00

Whats an evangeliser??

Cantabile · 02/05/2014 14:10

Someone who evangelises, OohQuack!

The butterscotch I got was a Hangsen - 10ml. I can't remember which site, probably FastTech. I'll dig about a bit and put up a link when I find it.

Cantabile · 02/05/2014 16:34

Raia, this is the one : www.fasttech.com/p/1447607

It was really nice. I wanted to get at least 30ml of it at a time, but they only have 10ml. I found larger quantities on other sites which are Hangsen and apparently the same, but I didn't think they were. Currently get it in 10ml bottles but 5 at a time Sad

Whether it's like Angel Delight, I don't know Grin
