Vapefest in Shrewsbury.

Heard about this today in my local vape shop, it's in August and sounds perfect for all those who have shinyitis! It's Friday to Sunday, free entry and free camping!
DP and I are going to go just as an excuse to have a camping weekend. :o

If you do go, you're more than welcome to pitch up next to DP and I. Maybe we could have that MN vape meet after all! :o

Yes we could have a big group of us at vapefest all camping under a mumsnet scarf tied to a big stick. I am liking the sound of the free all day juice bar!

Saturday 2nd August with free camping on the friday and saturday night.

DH wants to know if he'd be allowed to smoke there (he's still on 2 a day)

It's completely outdoor so I am sure he would! I'm positive there will be plenty of people who vape and smoke. :)

Yes I'm sure you're right. Vapers are usually pretty understanding towards smokers. I just remember my DSis accidentally ending up in a 'no smoking field' at Glasto one year. She hates camping at the best of times. She was in such a good mood by the time she got home Grin

I have been to loads of festivals and I have never come across that!

I'm thinking about going to this too - went to last year's Vapefest (which was in Tamworth, think it's outgrown that venue!) and had a great time. Lots of freebies if you get there early enough (I was queuing from 6 am), and the raffle is brilliant!

I'm still umming and aahing about going to this. There doesn't seem to be much to do there except drink, vape and have shopping accidents. It's a shame they don't have any speakers or workshops (coil building, juice mixing, mod making ...) or even a band or two. I would happily pay to attend an event like that.

OTOH, it is free and it's camping and it would probably be lots of fun.

Ohhh I dunno!

I don't think I'll decide for a while. There's no need to book and we'd be driving there so don't need to book transport either.

No idea what Vapefest is but Shrewsbury is v nice and if you are on the showground you are next to the river and a short walk from town, if the camping is free you're onto a winner!

Shopping accidents could be disasterous I guess but I doubt there will be cash machines on site? Bit of damage limitation.

So I just looked at the website but I still don't get it! It's basically people in a field with lots of stalls selling vapourisers? With a bit of overpriced food and drink? Have I missed something? Genuinely both confused and intrigued...

Zombie Will you be going? DP and I will be coming from Glasgow to go, not sure why as I am also confused about what there will be to do there, but we don't get much time on our own and I fancy a weekend camping. :)

Two night's free camping near a lovely river, walking distance from shrewsbury with an on site bar - sounds nice even without the vaping stuff. It would be nice to see some form of entertainment but then they would probably have to charge.
