Hello everyone, just popping in to say I've lurked on these threads but made the jump on Wednesday to stop, bought a vape and have not smoked since early days but feeling great.

Ok my stupid question, this is better for me right? Am I just getting the nicotine thingy without the dangerous stuff (obviously no nothing here ) but find it good to have two on the go and switch during the day, a nicotine one and a fruit one.

No questions are too stupid re vaping. It's new & there is much terminology & it can be baffling when you start.

Hello! I haven't smoked a stinky for 12 days now and I'm completely amazed. I am the sort to wake up in the night and have one.

I don't really know what kit I've got, it has a replaceable coil and is called crystal vapours, it's got KangerTech Evod written on it.

In the 12 days I've gone down from 18mg to 11mg, only tried menthol though as am too skint for mistakes!

I am so happy, but also scared I'll go back to the rollies. I still crave them a couple of times a day!

You've gone down in nicotine strength very quickly - if you really are craving you might be better to go back up to 18 again. Especially if you are a night time smoker!

After about 10 days of dedicated vaping (18mg) I tried a rollie as I still had them. It was vile - I had to go & spit & hawk, rinse my mouth & clean my teeth at least twice to get rid of the disgusting taste.

You might want to go along to your local vape shop (if you have one). They will almost certainly be happy for you to try a few other flavours.

I've only got 24mg tobacco in or 11mg menthol and the tobacco one tastes bloody rank! I'll persevere with the 11

I still get the urge for a fag somtimes (18 days in) I sometimes, about twice a day, will have a nicorette mini and carry on vaping. Im using 24mg although ive just made my weekly order for new flavours and got them all in 18. Hopefully I wont notice any difference. My friend gave me some cherry 12 and I felt robbed of nicotine :-D clearly not ready to go that low yet!

Psycobabble, I too am wondering why you're giving up vaping in favour of patches. Do you know something we don't?

Klep, I very quickly found the baccy flavoured liquid rank, and started mixing it with apple. That helped a lot and I soon found that I didn't want the baccy flavour at all, so went onto apple completely. Then I started branching out into other flavours.......

I wonder if putting a bit of menthol in with the baccy will help?

In one of the earlier threads someone said that menthol was great to vape when you had a cold. As winter was coming, I ordered a bottle as I always get really horrid colds. I haven't had one yet!

I only vape tobacco!! But I am the only one I know who does that!

Colds, Catabile no longer strike terror into my heart. I've had a couple since I gave up fags (18 months ago) & although not fun, I haven't had the awful cough & chest infections that I always used to get.

Why is it that so often I sit down, cup of coffee & vaper to hand, log on to MN & take a sip of coffee & a puff & the bloody battery dies?

And I keep my spares downstairs so have to get up & go & get a new battery?

Don't tell me to keep my spares upstairs - if I do that it will happen the moment I sit down in front of the TV!!

A pen doodah? That sounds very technical Sounds like you have a shop near you that you went to? If so, they will probably have given you lots of advice to get you started - that's the big advantage of having a shop.

If you run into any problems and need advice you might need to post a photo though because 'pen doodah' covers a multitude!

yes we have a shop the woman was lovely and explained it all to me how the battery works how to charge it thepouring in off liquid looks fiddily I am so clumsy

There's a thread here for listing vape shops - it would be good to add yours if they've been helpful. When I started 6 months ago there were pretty much no shops in London (there still aren't many compared with further north) so I got everything online and watched a lot of youtube. There's one opened in Greenwich now which is quite near me but I haven't got round to visiting yet.

Ive seen people talk about b&m stores yhat sell e-liquid. Being naive I started to believe B&M had started selling vaping things.... apparently not so what does b&m stand for does anyone know?
