Not fair - I can't have a drink yet as DD has a school disco and I've agreed to pick her up by car :(

Thank god I've found the right bar to drink in. I love a tipple ESP. On a Friday. No small ones this weekend so port intake mat rise tonight wee hey!

Wondering whether I should start a thread on home made booze. Having a go at sloe vodka this year ...could be messy!? Lol so who's doing the toast then?

And to make things worse I have a half bottle of red sitting in front of me that my friends didn't finish last night

Not sure I'm quite entitled to be here this weekend though - this is one of my single parent weekends when DP and I are largely in our own houses with our own DCs still - it's the alternate weekends when mine are at their dad's that I'm round at his all weekend playing stepmum.

Lost - not tried sloe vodka but sloe gin is lovely :)

My mum made raspberry vodka once though - and that was very nice too.

Not really homemade alcohol though as you have to buy the alcohol to start with. I have a demijon of wine on the go for that, but so far not tasting too great

Yeah techincally I'm not making the vodka but turning it into some yummy fruit alcohol sounds great thou....! Never tried making wine but an attempt at beer was really not good on many levels! :)

I have kids asleep and DP out so the sofa to myself - this is my idea of bliss. I am happy on the tonight but think I will definitely hit the chocolate.

OCF - I have a bottle of mead left over from a party four years ago - shall I send that round? I have kept it for emergencies.
