Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It maybe split loyalties, maybe she thinks that you and her father don't want to hear about her mum, or it maybe that she is a quiet child. It maybe that she is just forgetful.

I'd only worry and address the situation if you think she has split loyalties and you think that she thinks that talking about her mum will upset you, but I wouldn't 'force' the issue, you need to tread carefully. She needs to know that talking about her home life and her mum is ok.

YOu can change the number on your contract phone without upgrading. I had to do it for nusiance phone calls and they were fine about it. Yes i have my own daughter as well. She is Three and a right handful. Gets on like a dream with dsd tho. One (?two) step child(ren) long story.UI'll go into at another tiem. I have to go for a driving lesson. EVERYONE STAY OFF THE ROADS!

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 09:43

lol workingmum

You should talk to Squirrel about driving, she's having lessons too - passed her theory last Friday

tarantula · 27/01/2006 09:52

think you two need start a nutty learner driver club as sort of a sub section of the NSC so that ye can talk learner driver talk 'like how many cyclists did you nearly hit today' etc. Whadda reckon?????

Have to say dss does actually talk to us much about things that happen at home unless we remind/ask him or it suddenly occurs to him (generally at the oddeest moments too). Like father like son in our case tho. Think Squirrel may be right on the divided loyalties tho.

workingmumnhs · 27/01/2006 10:46

right I'm back from my lesson.
Number of cyclists hit 0
Number of annoying grannies who pressed the button on the traffic lights making them turn red then changed their mind 1
Number of cars i have annoyed by travelling at a steady 25 miles an hour 5
Number of chav like people with cans of "Ace White Cider" in their pockets I wanted to hit 2
Number of times I wanted to hit instructor for taking the wheel off me or pressing the clutch at a junction so I can't move 25

But honestly I'm not doing to badly.
Now my latest dilemma.....
Do I have a cuppa in peace or go and collect DD from MIL?

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 10:51

PMSL workingmum

You should most definitely have a cuppa in peace before you fetch dd

workingmumnhs · 27/01/2006 10:52

too late MIL has just phoned. She is bringing DD home now. Oh well better get down to the washing up and housework. This is meant to be my day off.

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 14:28

tarantula · 27/01/2006 14:33

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 14:39

tarantula · 27/01/2006 14:52

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 15:02

Ooohhh reading books on a Friday afternoon - not good!!

I can't be bothered now, and it's not helped by the fact that I'm PMSL at the penis threads in chat

Only an hour and a half to go....going to stay on here all afternoon now, bugger it

tarantula · 27/01/2006 15:15

ooo havent popped onto that one yet

tarantula · 27/01/2006 15:26

I'm on the 4x4 thread myself

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 15:29

Ooohh - haven't seen that one

Going to have look.....

tarantula · 27/01/2006 15:32

Am having nightmares about dd's future

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 15:38

Just read it

True to my word, I've done absolutely nothing this afternoon (apart from answer the switchboard which I do all the time anyway)

I'm sitting here PMSL at some of the threads on here today - I love this site

Got my laptop today!!! At last! Whether I can set it up tho is another matter....bet I'll come to work on Monday, pick the phone up and go "Daaaaaaave - can you help meeeeee?"

Dave is our computer person at work and he said he'd come and do it for me if I'm struggling, bless him

tarantula · 27/01/2006 16:04

See us computer people are soooo lovely. All of us here spend loads of time sorting out peoples private machines . we do very well on hte biscuit and choccy front out of it mind. It pays to be nice.

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 16:12

Yes - Dave's the same. I've already asked DP (he's at home this afternoon) to get some biscuits, chocolates (Thorntons I might add) and wine out of the shed to give to him

We're off out tonight - really don't want to go but it's one of those "put in an appearance to keep the peace" occasions! One of my brothers told us on Christmas Day that he'd got engaged (again!!) and they're having a "bit of a do" in their local pub. Hate to sound awful (which I know this does!) but her family sound like a right bunch! One of her sons is in prison, don't know what for, the other one is a drug addict who burgles houses and sells the stuff to feed his habit, her two daughters don't go to work, don't claim dole money (or whatever it's called these days) and don't do anything around the house either. Don't know about her brothers and sister - we daren't ask!! Think DP and I will just sit quietly in the corner and get pi$$ed It'll probably be an entertaining evening if nothing else. At least we have a good excuse not to stay late - DP has to be up for work at 5

Are you doing anything this weekend?

NotActuallyAMum · 27/01/2006 16:25

I'm away now

Have a good weekend everyone

tarantula · 27/01/2006 16:26

{grin] have a great time. If nothing else you'll have a good laugh. Sounds like a great family to be marrying into. Sit in the corner and lugh but make sur to get out before the furniture starts breaking (not of course that Ive ever been anywhere like that)

weve got the plasterers in to do the kitchen this weekend. NOT looking forward to it as one of the guys whos doing it is a gobshite (in the literal sense..never heard anyone talk so muchand say so little and all of that bollox). This guy is a friend of BMs and they are going to do it cheap so I'll ahve to put up with it I suppose. He better not think hes drinking while on thejob cos I'll not be paying if its crap the other guy (whom I suspect is the reall plasterer) is quiet tho and I reckon should do a good job (crossed fingers)

God Im stressed already.

tarantula · 27/01/2006 16:26

And you too Naam

Squirrel3 · 27/01/2006 16:32

Don't goooooooooo!

I'm here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you had a great time talking without me.

That's it I'm going to jack my job in so that I can be ob here full time!!! Boo Hoo!!!!
