lol Squirrel

It's cold, grey and horrible up here too - and we've got lots of dodgy people! Think it's just a change of scenery for them, well for Mum anyway - Dad just goes to shut her up, he really doesn't like going on holiday, it wouldn't bother him if he never went again. And he really doesn't like the heat so it'll suit him for it to be cold! They're getting a day trip to Bruges on the Chunnel - think Mum wants to sample some genuine Belgian chocolate. Hope she remembers to bring some back

Boo hoo, I've got to go to work tomorrow!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 01/02/2006 16:09

Oooohh I could just eat those - all of them

That's not good when you dread going to work - I was like that in my last job. I'm very lucky really, I don't think anyone likes going to work as such but I really don't mind it. I'd never find another job which pays what I earn around here. I do work 8 - 5 tho but the hours have never bothered me

Squirrel3 · 01/02/2006 16:16

You are lucky NAAM, you enjoy your job and you get time on here.

I'll find something else I'm sure I will.

Do you need any nutty squirrels where you are?... Blimey, we wouldn't get any work done would we?!?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 01/02/2006 16:20

No we certainly wouldn't

I'm lucky also in that most of the time I can do my job as well as come on here, it's only occasionally I do something which either takes me away from my desk or needs 100% attention. Just as well because my attention span is very low, I get bored sooooo easily

Squirrel3 · 01/02/2006 16:27

Me too! Got to go now to pick up the step kids or just dsd (don't know if dss is coming yet), been lovely talking to you all, byyyyeeeeee...

Maybe able to talk for a bit tomorrow.

NotActuallyAMum · 01/02/2006 16:33

Hope the evening goes well

Squirrel3 · 01/02/2006 19:19

Thanks NAAM, but we have only had them for two hours and I want to strangle both of them!!!!!

We did have dss, but I keep looking at him feeling like I want to grab him by the scruff of the neck and go and rub his nose in it!!!!

Tell me I am making to much of it but thoughts keep going through my head like "has he got so little respect for me that he doesn't care that I have to clean up after his wank?" or is he doing it deliberately to show what a 'big man' he is? I don't understand why it is getting to me so much.

Dsd is getting on my nerves too, she is doing the 'daddy's little princess' routine (complete with baby talk) to get what she wants out of dp.

Maybe I've just got PMT or something.....

NotActuallyAMum · 01/02/2006 21:54

Oh dear Squirrel

It's not hard to see why it gets to you so much - honest it isn't, I'd be just the same. And I know where you're coming from with dsd too, been there myself, tho not for a while I have to say

Sorry I wasn't on earlier - really hope you're feeling better tomorrow

NotActuallyAMum · 02/02/2006 10:58

Morning everyone

How are we all today? I've had a busy morning so far but it's calmed down a bit now, thankfully

Hello NAAM, thank you for replying and the suport to my grumble yesterday evening.

Dp did talk to him, he told him that I go in and make their beds in the morning before I go to work and I am NOT impressed with what I find in his bed, and if it happens again he will be changing his bedding every morning that he is there, and washing it himself and re-making his own bed because its not fair to expect me to do it!!!!!! Apparently he just grunted "Ok" at dp.

He didn't talk to him infront of me or dsd, but afterwards he just came into the lounge and acted as if nothing had happened, I expected him to be a little sheepish but he just doesn't seem to care. I know if I was him I would be mortified!!!

Hello people jsut popped in to catch up. Goodness you were all very chatty yesterday. Glad to hear that dp is sorting out dss. Hopefully it works . So glad dss hasnt started anything like that tho I reckon you'll have fun getting him to change the bedding esp if he's anything like my dss. I forgot to make up his bed last Friday and instead of asking for help (its a bunkbed) or trying to do it up himself he just slept on the matress with the duvet over him. Lazy wee gurrier

tarantula · 02/02/2006 13:07

thats brillaint Squirrel I'll cross all my legs for you Whats the interview for?

Squirrel3 · 02/02/2006 13:09

Sounds like my dss!

I told dp this morning that I would grab him (dss) by the scruff of his neck and rub his nose in it if he does it again!!!!

He thought I was joking......

I wasn't! BTW

Office Manager in an estate agents, running the web-site, all of the general computer stuff and organising the staff, from what I can tell.

I've done it before but in a bigger Estate agents, this one is smaller so I would only have to do 30hrs a week.

Squirrel, glad DP has finally spoken to his ds. I agree with you - I'd be mortified if I was him, he must be very thick skinned. Best of luck for the interview, I'm sure you'll be fine

Hello tarantula - PMSL at "cross all my legs for you"

Squirrel3 · 02/02/2006 13:17

I'll be ok at the interview, I'll talk my way into the job if I like the look of it.

OP posts:
tarantula · 02/02/2006 13:19

lol wouldnt blame you either. I gave dss a right telling off cos all he had to do was ask cos I was upstairs as he was going to bed anyway and I'd have helped him sort it out. Wouldnt mind but all the bedding was on the bed and ready to be put on and he just chucked it on the floor and its not like I forget very often either. Still at least he did it the next mornig when asked him to and was very sheepish about it.

NotActuallyAMum · 02/02/2006 13:22

I wouldn't blame you either for doing that Squirrel - bet the little bugger wouldn't do that at home, grrrrrrr!!!

Squirrel3 · 02/02/2006 13:28

At least your dss is a bit sheepish when told off, with mine it kind of just 'washes over' them then they just carry on as normal.

Having said that dss1 (the older one who had drug problems) has come on leaps and bounds, he has straightened out and is working well with dp and enjoying it! I really believe that he needed his Dad (and me, in a small way, he does respect me and take notice of what I have to say because of my been there done that attitude and I know a bit of what is going on in his head). I am actually proud of him ATM. [proud emoticon]
