The Bonus Mums (BoMs) Wine drinking thread is now resuming normal service on SP.
Take a seat on our Passive Agressive Furniture and pour yourself a nice Wine.

Cakes and Double G&Ts are also welcome.

You know that feeling when you start a job get half way through it and really wish you hadnt started it.....

Ive been on a cleaning (nesting) mission today, got agents coming to 'inspect' the house on Friday so I thought id tidy up..... well ive ended up dumping everything that was out of place in our room on our bed, hoovered every nuck and cranny and now in the process of putting it all back. Realised its half 6 and thought I need tea and im usually asleep by 9!! Ive still got downstairs to sort out.

But on the plus ive managed to 'hide away' all baby items big and small so the letting agent wont see them... Grin

sacredcow · 01/06/2011 20:44

Gin, do you really need to ask?

Cud?

sacredcow · 01/06/2011 20:46

Winter - I nested by Proxy.

DH asked me what I was getting so worried about and to make him a list. It covered the whole of a side of A4 and I had him doing everything including cleaning all of the carpets. Grin

Sadly I was too poorly at the end to help out. Gutted, obviously...

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/06/2011 14:25

LOL

Tomorrow would be a good day....

Bit of a gripe, mum is coming up in a couple of weeks, tues - mon. I have said can we make sure we juggled things so DSS is not up this weekend. Just because mum will be sleeping in DSS's room. If DSS is up then, mum will have to move for 2 nights in to DS's room, and where exactly will DS sleep? Plus I'll have to change the bedding on both beds twice!
He has taken it as me saying DSS is banned from coming up in favour of my mother Angry
No I'm just thinking of the logistics actually Hmm

Really lost it with him as he kept going on about DSS being "stressed" about the new baby and feeling pushed out. In the end, I said to him "wtf do you expect me to do, NOT have the baby??"
He seems to forget DS is going to be far more affected than DSS will be. DSS has shown very little interest in the baby so far, never asks about (though he does ask how I am, which is nice), because as far as I can see he is 10yo and babies are not very interesting to 10yos. I know he gets fed up with DS at times. DS absolutely worships DSS but there is quite a big age gap so I can understand DSS doesn't want to spend all his time doing things with him.

WinterLover · 02/06/2011 14:44

Oh dear Kara thats the last thing you need to stress about!!

Men just dont understand do they... tell him DSS can come if you DH changes the bed sheets etc :)

nenevomito · 02/06/2011 21:03

I'm back. It was fun being a holy bovine for a bit, but I think I will save that nn for special occasions.

Kara - could your mum and DSS not top and tail? Grin

nenevomito · 02/06/2011 21:04

...oh bad idea.

She may roll over in the night leaving DSS feeling pushed out.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/06/2011 22:06

ROFL @ BH.

WL - have had a few contractions this evening....

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 07:49

yoshiLunk · 03/06/2011 08:04
KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/06/2011 08:30

LOL @ yoshi, you are still in the running, contractions died off again!

But it is still early Grin

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 08:30

hehe yoshi I dont know what your talking about Wink

GinAndWater · 03/06/2011 09:34

Morning all- It's a lovely day here in leafy Berkshire...

How's everyone ?

yoshiLunk · 03/06/2011 10:31

I hope you're doing well Kara, I wouldn't really have your discomfort prolonged until the 10th just so that I get the glory, - I tell you what, you go ahead and have the baby whenever you fancy, - it's okay by me.

It is beautiful here today on the coast, have already been up about 4 hours, two washing loads done and hanging out, bags of stuff sorted for charity shops, meat marinating for dinner, freezer prepared for defrosting..

next getting boys ready to out to the beach...

......three hours later......

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/06/2011 13:22

You're too kind yoshi HmmGrin

Very hot up here in Teesside!!

DS is alternatively being extremely cute and a PITA...

C'mon I want some fecking contractions just so I can get DH home early!

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 19:13

tis very hot here too!! Currently laid on sofa watching NCIS waiting for my pizza to cook...

Yes kara I want your contractions to come on too Wink

nenevomito · 03/06/2011 21:13

No, contractions for you missy. I need to be right!

Its hot here too which is pretty unheard of!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 04/06/2011 07:19

39+4 today.

Anyway cleared the air about my mum's weekend up. DH has agreed that DSS will not be coming up that weekend. I have said that we can double up weekends, I'm sure DSS would be up for that anyway (we normally have him once a fortnight, Fri pm - Mon am). If need be the weekend my mum is up, there is nothing stopping DH going down and taking DSS out for the day.
So really hoping baby turns up in the next few days, we will have DSS next weekend and the weekend after, then my mum will be up.
It was the "banning" comment that infuriated me - my mum doesn't come up very often as she doesn't drive and lives nearly 300 miles away, we haven't seen her since we last visited in April as it got to be too uncomfortable driving that kind of distance in the car. We see PILs much more frequently, as FIL drives and they only live half the distance away

Anyway hope you all making the most of the lovely weather! Supposed to be cooler and cloudier today, but seems nice so far!

WinterLover · 04/06/2011 07:30

DAM IT!!! Grin Looks like im out of the running now then lol

Pleased you got the air cleared with DH, makes life easier then doesnt it :)

Lovely day here too, shame im feeling sorry for myself with a stinking cold :(
