The Bonus Mums (BoMs) Wine drinking thread is now resuming normal service on SP.
Take a seat on our Passive Agressive Furniture and pour yourself a nice Wine.

Cakes and Double G&Ts are also welcome.

Oh dear, how far is the hospital?? Id say have a drink and make DH get a taxi Grin

Im tempted to have a very very very week pimms and lemonade, but im not sure this baby would enjoy it Hmm

nenevomito · 15/05/2011 18:45

Frankly ladies we all deserve a large glass. WL, baby or not you can drink virtually and I insist!

glasscompletelybroken · 15/05/2011 18:49

DH is in plaster. Not sure how this will be as he is newly self-employed so will have no money coming in for a few weeks!

WinterLover · 15/05/2011 18:59

Thanks Baby.

Oh dear Glass its not good that. DP is self employed and its so hard at times especially when he physically cant work. How did he do it?

glasscompletelybroken · 15/05/2011 20:13

Ice skating! He was helping at a friends childs birthday outing and got pulled over by one of the older kids. Just unlucky really. Sometimes you find these things easier to deal with than at other times - just seems to be a lot going on at the moment!

WinterLover · 15/05/2011 20:15

Oh thats rotten :(

Have that large glass of wine and chocolate once you've got him home

glasscompletelybroken · 15/05/2011 21:06

Just poured it - no chocolate in the house though!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 16/05/2011 06:52

Glass - oh no :(

If he is going to be out of work for a few weeks, I am sure he can claim ESA, for that period. He'll need an SC1 for the first 7 days which he will need to present to the Job centre.
May be worth trying this, it is not much but at least he'll have something coming in.

Hey everyone hope you all had a good weekend!

glasscompletelybroken · 16/05/2011 07:50

Thanks Kara - I think I will call the job centre this morning and see what they say. He was made redundant last year and we had the whole no money thing then while he re-trained. Just got started in his own business and now this!
Could have been worse though - he could have injured a more vital part! Wink

nenevomito · 16/05/2011 08:48

Morning all.

I actually think I am going to lose it today. The sure fire give-aways are the fact that I am crying and its only 8.40, the stomach ache and the general feeling that if anyone so much as says or looks at me the wrong way today I will scream.

Everything that is going on with DS at the moment is just getting to me in the most monumental way and I have spent the whole weekend being an utter, utter bitch to everyone in the family. I have been horrible to the children and DH when they just didn't deserve it.

Add into that the fact that work is just so incredibly stressful at the moment with three utterly ridiculous projects with utterly ridiculous unchangeable end-dates that somehow have ended up my responsibility with fucking committees here there and everywhere who are not working together as a unit and you have a recipe for disaster and total meltdown.

I mean take today. I have back to back meetings from 9am to 4pm with just 30 mins when I am not in a meeting and that is if they all run to time (ha!) How the fuck am I meant to get any work done?

I am trying to come to terms with the fact that DS has ASD, that all of his eccentric behaviour is not something he is likely to grow out of while working a job that is beyond mental.

Something has got to give.

:( :( :(

KaraStarbuckThrace · 16/05/2011 09:46

BH - oh no Sad
That does sound awful. I wish I could give you some useful advice, today sounds absolutely crackers!
Offering you an unMNy hug {{{{{hugs}}}}}

On a practical note, have you be posting on the SN boards as I am sure you can get lots of advice as to how to deal with DS until you see your consultant, I would keep pushing them for an earlier appointment as well!

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 09:58

BH - you really sound like your at breaking point :(

nenevomito · 16/05/2011 10:29

Quick 5 mins between meets - I think I've managed to reschedule one until later in the week as well.

Thanks all - I've been posting on SN too and they have all been lovely, but I've not been on there long enough to post a total meltdown. Without getting a few of these Hmm I suspect.

I'm just so frustrated and pissed off and stressed out and I am not sure exactly how I am going to keep on going through these next weeks without losing it even more badly.

DH wants to know if I'm feeling depressed and I'm not. I'm not losing the will to do things, I am just at the end of my tether with what are some life changing events and a schedule that goes beyond mad.

Anyway, one minute to sign off and get to next meeting. Catch you later.

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 16/05/2011 13:50

Look like you need to get out & get pissed a bit of a break.

In the mean time, have a muffing.

nenevomito · 16/05/2011 16:28

Oh yes.

Make mine a double.
I managed to cry in a meeting.

It was interesting as it was me and around 6 blokes, non of whom knew where to put themselves. I left them to it.
Right, off home for 7 rounds with the children!

WinterLover · 17/05/2011 21:03

How you doing today baby?

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 18/05/2011 11:13

Hello all.

BH , hope you are feeling better.

WinterLover · 18/05/2011 14:34

Hello ladies -

Opinions please as im mightily confused and DP is over excited Hmm

Quattro Tour Sport £269 with free travel pack and it comes with a car seat and base... Our budget is £300 so we can buy the carry cot so that its rear facing for the first few months...

What do you all think??

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 18/05/2011 15:20

It looks nice - but I haven't used that sort of apparatus in over 5 years !

There is a cool review section on here

OP posts:
glasscompletelybroken · 18/05/2011 16:17

It's Day 3 in the broken arm house and DH is "Sorting Stuff Out"
Pass me the wine someone please!!!

WinterLover · 18/05/2011 17:05

Thanks Pegs There isnt a review for it on there Hmm

Oh dear Glass thats not good... large glass of wine on its way too you.

Im on day 3 of DP cutting smoking down to 5 a day, he's happier but sooooo annoying!! He tried to start cutting down to 5 last wed, it lasted until DBD came here on Saturday and he decided that it wasnt a good idea to start just before she came. He has 2 weeks before she's here next so fingers crossed :)

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 18/05/2011 17:08

I hate it when DH decides to sort things out Hmm

Like last weekend, came back from the gym and he emptied all the kitchen cabinets to have a sort- Took forever because we couldn't walk around (everything everywhere instead of working in sections) and at the end he left a fecking pile of toot on the counter- really ?

OP posts:
ConfessionsOfaFlask · 18/05/2011 17:10

x-post winter Grin Shame there is no review, I just thought, if you are going to spend that much you'd want to be sure it is good. isn't there a thread here where MN-ers discuss Prams ?

Good luck to DP!

OP posts:
WinterLover · 18/05/2011 17:13

Haha Pegs when DP says he's going to sort something my heart sinks and I hide!! It usually involves bin bags and me 'not keeping things tidy' Hmm

Yeah theres a board, Ive posted but its quite today.. yes today of all days when I NEED help lol Grin

Thanks Pegs he's adamant he's going to have stopped by the time baby is here.. I have noticed his mood is a lot happier and not as highly strung which is odd as I thought it would be the opposite

glasscompletelybroken · 18/05/2011 17:15

FFS - DH went to the school this afternoon to pick up the girls as requested by his exW on HER day, only to find that she had arranged for them to go home with friends without letting him know! Gggggrrrrrr!!!
