Its race week again. Triple header.
Its going to be weird DS has gone to uni, he's watched with us since he was tiny.

Baku is where it all started unravelling for OP last year.....
....I mean this year expectations are a lot more modest, ....but id like him to finish the race!
Race being on Saturday means we will be at school/work when practise and qualifying are on

Max was lovely to the other drivers and it was nice to see him enjoy himself.

That is lovely to hear. He has also done a sit down with Matt and Tommy from P1 YouTube channel. I am looking forward to watching that when it’s released.

My views on Max have changed and I believe out of the car he is a genuinely straightforward nice man, he is lovely with Kelly’s daughter etc. I will see if I can find a way to watch the max vs 100 as I think it shows a different side of Max as well as his talent.

However, once he has a helmet on he is a different person and is totally ruthless pushing rules and cars to the limit and is not as clean a driver as some others. For me that’s why I support other drivers. I do respect his talent.

Isaak is back.

Very glad for him but sorry to see Yuki go.

Great to see Isack back and hopefully he has a strong comeback after his injury. Max’s back-to-back podiums show Red Bull has made some progress, although Laurent Mekies says the car’s performance-degradation issue is complex and may require changes for 2027. Baku should provide much better racing and overtaking than Madrid, while the fan zone will have driver appearances, activities and entertainment. With Calvin Harris and Katy Perry also performing during the weekend, there’s plenty happening on and off the track.

Still not watched the Madring race.

I’m also glad Isaak is back but also that Liam was given a chance in the RB after 2015.

I like Baku and it’s a circuit that usually delivers.

And Esteban has confirmed he is a free agent for next year and talking to other teams.

I was travelling to Cumbria when the Madrid race was on so had to listen to the race on the radio while driving up the M1/M6. I quickly learnt that the Sky F1 commentary is MUCH better than Radio 5 Extra….remind me never to put myself through that experience again! Grim.

Glad I’m home now and normal service will be resumed for this next race.

But who could Occon go to? There aren’t many spaces are there?

Thats what I was wondering, there isnt a lot of movement....I thought just about everyone was locked in for next year, or longer

Managed to see Max vs 100 really good fun on YouTube. As @Kepler22B said Max was lovely with the other drivers.

I do think this maybe Ocons last season, I can’t see where he would get a drive for next year.

Would he maybe go to Formula E?

I watched a press conference ahead of Baku. (Checo, Oscar and George)
They were asked what they thought of a Monaco Sprint. Noone looked especially keen to answer. Checo said the driver chat was "very busy" and when pressed he said "that stays in the chat" and laughed

...but then Oscar and George came up with some positive things to say, I wasnt entirely convinced by them, but I imagine they are pretty limited how truthful they can really be!

Anyone else following quali (its making me v nervous) ....maybe wee-ums upgrades are working...?? And hadjar seems to be back on great form, so far....

Yes, really pleased to see Williams make an improvement.

Watching on a train with the signal cutting out at all the tense moments was interestinng.

Feel sorry Lewis didn’t get a tow and for Lando having technical issues.

Hopefully the Williams results are because the upgrade includes a substantial weight loss as they were 20kg over the min8mum weight at the start of the year.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting with Kimi coming from the back again, Max and Lewis also slightly out of position and usually have good race pace.

Isaak did brilliantly. I was gutted Ollie was pipped at the post to get into Q3 though

I watched quali in school with about a dozen students. Very fun. Looking forward to the race. I usually work Saturdays (boarding school) but it is Exeat this weekend.

Grid drops all over. Both Astons, loads for PU replacement (Alonso 25+), Sainz 5 for yellow flag infringement and Perez 3 for impeding Piastri.
We'll be watching late as DH is about to go out on his bike for 5 hours or so!
