If they had pitied Lewis onto softs he stood a good chance of overtaking Lando and Kimi as he was rapid.

Ferrari Strategy - ❌

well done Max - an excellent drive. Charles did well and again Kimi was lucky, Lando should have got 3rd if Lewis hadnt gone off track.

Great drive for Max and Charles

Shit strategy for Ferrari

Im pleased Oscar finished a bit higher but that was mainly Ferrari assisting him - but he did look like he had more pace this week it was a shame he had the extra pit stop.

Norris has definitely had a bollocking, he kept asking what he could do to help, that has literally never happened before! 🤣

Glad George, Hulk and Hadjar all got points

Brazilianadventure · 11/10/2026 15:01

Lewis apologising for his decisions on strategy, He really is a good leader.

I meant to say Kim K redeemed herself on the grid by talking to Martin Brundle and having the grace to apologise for not talking to him last time. It’s not unreasonable for her to have not known who Martin is.

The thing I am concerned about is back in 2007 Lewis did talk to Martin on the grid and whenever he did he had a poor result. This is why he doesn’t talk to Martin on the grid. I just hope the jinx hasn’t passed to his girlfriend.

@Brazilianadventuredid you hear Ferrari calling him in to box? The commentators said they had the tyres out but I didn’t hear any discussion 🤔

The FIA feed doesn’t play all radio messages so I don’t know what was said when the VSC was out. However, they did play Lewis apologising to the team after the race - he was clear it was his decision.

I dint think max had any radio contact for much if the race?

Brazilianadventure · 11/10/2026 17:38

@Truetoself I am seeing on X (not reliable) that Ferrari didn’t call Lewis into the pits. It may take a few days to get to the bottom of this.

I was trying to watch on my phone during a nightmare journey of road closures so had times had to stop watching & help Dh navigate.

I can’t believe George’s lack of luck with that safety car. He did do well to get up into the points though.

nice overtake from Oscar at the end.

Kepler22B · 11/10/2026 18:48

Kimi got 4 track limits but no penalty!

The stewards decided the last one as he had brake issues but Lewis did last year when his brakes failed. Wouldn’t have made a difference to the result but still…

I also think they should give more points on their licence. If you are given a 10s penalty 1 point. A stop and go 2 points.

At this rate, Max finishing second in the drivers' championship by the end of the season wouldn't be surprising.

And RB could easily overtake mcLaren in the constructors

Fizbosshoes · 11/10/2026 22:43

Apparently Lewis was unwell after the race and excused from media duties. Hope hes ok now

Brazilianadventure · 12/10/2026 14:49

I thought Toto’s cushion comment was perfect.

I can imagine Bono and Toto’s blood pressure going through the roof as they watch Kimi rack up track limits violations at a rapid rate.

He was far enough ahead that any time penalty wouldnt have impacted his place....but he escaped it anyway.
He seems to be warned fairly frequently but I dont know if hes had a penalty for it this year

He’s had a track limit penalty at least twice this year. Once at Silverstone after his car broke and also fir a sprint (big sure which one).

I saw him almost on the floor after the race and wondered if he was ok

Comefromaway · 13/10/2026 12:29

Singapore is brutal. It was there George Russell was ill in 2024. Lewis was also struggling and both driers were allowed to skip media duties.

They showed snippets of George being unwell in 2024 on DTS and from the brief clips it was very clear he was really distressed and very unwell.

Christian Horner’s autobiography is due to be released this week and he is doing the media rounds.

He has said about AD21 that RB really pressurised Michael Masi to unlap the cars between Max & Lewis, plus that Lewis was faster than Max.

CH also paid credit to Lewis and Anthony Hamilton and how they both congratulated him and the team at what must have been a devastating time for them.

He also confirmed what many suspected that in a car that suited both drivers DR, Alex, Checo etc were close and on occaisions could beat Max. However, Helmut insisted the car was set up to favour Max = why team mates not as close. Basically reinforcing what Checo has said.

I am not a fan of CH but I am contemplating buying it for my kindle as I like autobiography’s/biography’s. As an F1 fan I am interested in the power dynamic between CH and HM and how Deiter Mateschitz managed it.

They will surely do it. McLaren have been disappointing this season after their great success last season.

McLaren started the season with a significant disadvantage due to not being a works team. That meant they got the Mercedes power unit later so had less time to do simulations and development so it’s not really surprised that they’ve performed less well this year. Next season may be a very different story though!

Ferrari looking quick as do Lando and Max.

Really amazing how Sky went onboard with Pierre at the end of FP1 to do a practice start, The technological development of how F1 is broadcast is amazing. The helmet cams etc. Full credit to Pierre for doing this - it shows how much capacity the drivers have.
