Max on pole for the sprint, whether he will keep it is another thing. Lewis managing to be quick except in Q3 - why? Is he over driving?

I could only watch at work on my phone with no sound but Kimi seemed to be struggling & George nearly gave me a heart attack with his lock up then last minute lap.

I had squeaky bum time (trying to follow online, but just watching timing rather than actual footage) in Q1 because it looked like the redbulls and Mclarens hadnt got a time on the board as it was about to finish.

Carlos is saying FIA messed up again in Sprint Qualifying. Apparently some cars in Q1 had the overtake boost worth 0.5 of a second after the red flag.

Max, Lewis and other drivers are now saying F1 has gone too far and needs to go back to V8s or at least less electronic control.

q1 seemed a bit mad in terms of who was setting times & when.

The new Merc ‘upgrades’ seem like a bit of a nightmare. Sounds like they’re performing worse here than in Malaysia. Not sure what they’re going to do about them in future races and it’s not possible to change back to the old spec this weekend. Kimi is very lucky he’s got such a big lead.

I’m going to miss the sprint as working. Love being in a boarding school and can often get Saturday races on somehow as there are lots of kids interested but today is a parent event.

I’m watching on Sky and it keeps going off, screen keeps saying they have tech issues. Does anybody else have this?

I am slightly confused about Oscar’s race helmet. Is it the handmade one with beads or is it a reproduction print. The reason for asking is the beads must add weight which isn’t ideal when you are pulling up to 6g in the corners.

Gutted for George and frustrating for McLarens. They could easily have been p4 and 5 - whichever way round 🙄

I had the same question...but i thought (could be wrong) the actual beaded one was for show/display and this was a repro?
