Very happy to see Wade get through the first round this year. Barney wasn’t at the races though. Wonder if he will call it a day again

Barney maybe needs to retire (again) it's a shame the seniors tour fell apart as he would have been brilliant on that.

Shame Fallon drew Chizzy. I’d like them both to go through.

Afternoon crowd was so brilliant it would always be hard to beat them

Sakai there watching his compatriot. Sadly he is out.

I was going to miss all of today’s matches as it’s my works Xmas party, but unfortunately I’m too ill to go. What a shame I’ll be able to watch darts all day instead!

In his post match press interview Sakai said he only started playing darts to attract the ladies (!) I love players that haven't had any media training
