JaneJeffer · 29/12/2025 22:38

I wonder what was being said in the crowd to get Luke so wound up

OP posts:
blankcanvas3 · 29/12/2025 22:40

Hmmmm that wasn’t great from Luke.

Daytimetellyqueen · 29/12/2025 22:40

Why were they booing Littler?

JaneJeffer · 29/12/2025 22:41

He shouldn’t have reacted but there’s no reason for them to be booing him in the first place.

Bugger. Missed seeing Luke Littler. Wanted to watch him.

RaraRachael · 29/12/2025 22:52

We were dipping in and out all evening as nobody I was particularly interested in playing.
Littler didn't do himself any favours with those comments at the end.

Daytimetellyqueen · 29/12/2025 22:40

Why were they booing Littler?

I think the crowd seems to prefer an underdog generally, then Luke was being a bit goady with his celebrations

MonkeyTennis34 · 29/12/2025 22:54

He’s only 18 but he didn’t do himself any favours!

Daytimetellyqueen · 29/12/2025 22:58

MonkeyTennis34 · 29/12/2025 22:54

He’s only 18 but he didn’t do himself any favours!

Except he is only 18, so can’t be expected to react brilliantly when there are thousands of people booing him! Hope he’s ok.

JaneJeffer · 30/12/2025 13:23

Aargh Luke!

LoveTheDarts · 30/12/2025 13:25

nonegotiation · 30/12/2025 16:14

Hood is savage!

Daytimetellyqueen · 30/12/2025 16:34

Wow! I wanted Rock to win but Hood was on fire!

blankcanvas3 · 30/12/2025 16:49

That was so much fun

BakedBeansforabrain · 30/12/2025 16:54

Hood has jumped 36 places to world number 50 in the PDC order of merit

nonegotiation · 30/12/2025 17:07

11/11 on doubles was incredible

I’m rooting for him to win the whole thing now!

GammonAndEgg · 30/12/2025 17:16

A guaranteed Β£100K!

RaraRachael · 30/12/2025 17:17

Didn't see that coming! Anybody could win it this year.

EnchantedDaydream · 30/12/2025 17:41

How have I missed this thread! I posted on another one early on but missed this one. Been at work this afternoon but looking forward to MVG/Anderson a bit nervously. Gary is my favourite player.

Agree Luke shouldn't have reacted to the crowd like he did but it's such a shame they were on his back like that.

Why shouldn’t he react, they were booing him so he gave them some uncomfortable truths

Let’s be absolutely clear.

Luke Littler didn’t β€œcross a line.”
He held up a mirror.

You bought a ticket.
That ticket funds the sport.
That money goes into prize pots.
And yes that’s his wage.

So if you choose to spend your own money just to boo an 18-year-old doing his job on the biggest stage, don’t be outraged when he calmly reminds you how the system works.

That wasn’t arrogance.
That was composure.
That was confidence under fire.

Sport thrives on rivalry not hostility. You can support your favourite without trying to tear someone else down. Booing doesn’t make you passionate; it makes you part of the problem.

Respect the player. Respect the game

If i was 18 and on 2 million a year my behaviour would be truly heinous so I can’t judge him
