F1 2025 - Watchalong Thread

Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

It's RACE WEEK!!!!!! Yay!!

Just marking my place for the race :) have just started dts!

I'm home alone all weekend. The menfolk are off to London for the cup final, so I may watch live as I can do as I please on both days.
I haven't watched a live Australian GP since I lived with my parents. My Dad always got up to watch live on the BBC.

Yayy finally race week is here! Have been watching Dts this week and has made me excited for the new season!

We are currently watching the Sainz decision. I can't decide whether he made the right choice, and that comes as a historical Williams fan. Audi? Williams? I don't know 😕

The way they edited the bit about Christian Horner and the sex allegations was really funny. He was saying something totally innocuous but because of where it was cut in, it just sounded pervy.

It's edited well for effect.

Actually can't wait to see him at Williams. Him and James Vowles seem like a solid, grown ups in the room kind of pairing.

He was a right dick about JV in the Sainz one. No surprise.

I said to DH that it think CH has asked DTS to make him look better following the controversy, He is in it an awful lot!

It's all the little films of him and Geri. Vomit inducing, but I think he's trying to win us all over, (it's not working! 😂)

I can’t stand LS and think CH is a twat. Makes ZB look less of a twat.

Mind you, I think you need a massively overinflated opinion of yourself to lead an F1 team.

Any idea if I can catch quali on YouTube tomorrow? I’m catching a flight at 9am and want to see if I can download it to watch on the plane?

The little cameos with the WAGs are cringe. DTS doesn't help my Geri hatred

I took Max out of my f1 fantasy team and put Charles in, based on FP2. Big mistake! Interesting qualy though. I wonder if Lando will continue his bad start run. Oscar and Max have a good chance of winning this, especially Max, if it rains.
Feel for Liam. This is the fourth person who has struggled in that second seat.

I think that second Red Bull seat is the poisoned chalice of F1, nobody else can live with the way that car is built. It’s designed around Max, and his driving style seems very hard for other drivers to replicate - he thrives on a level of instability that others can’t cope with. Much as I don’t like what I’ve seen of Lawson, I do kind of feel sorry for him. It’ll be interesting to see whether both Maclarens make it through the first corner in the race, and in what order!

Great result for Albon, and delighted with front row lockout for Team Papaya.

I’ve been quiet as I’m abroad with limited or v expensive WiFi/data. Looking forward to watching DTS.

I was lucky and watched FP3 but fell asleep for qually. If I can stay awake I will get to see the race.

Ollie Bearman had a nightmare FP. Good front row, well done Albon but shame Ferrari are not higher up. I’m glad Lewis is close to Charles as all I want is for him this season is to do a good job.

We watch on Channel 4. Watching the interview with Norris post quali and loved Norris giving his hat to a child, so casual and sweet.
