Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

Apparently CH is buying alpine with Bernie Ecclestone as an investor….

With Flávio in the mix. What a trio!

This does make sense because Toto owns a % of Mercedes F1 and I think CH has a chip on his shoulder about that.

Also, If CH owns a % it would be harder to get rid of him in the future.

I think Bernie bitches about everybody, but if he sees there’s money to be made … Plus, I think he likes to be involved.

I thought years ago Bernie lined up CH as his replacement. Then Liberty Media took over.

I am getting ready for my camping trip to Spa with my DS. We are getting the Eurostar, then train then shuttle bus and staying in ready put up tents (they call it glamping but it really just a tent with 2 camp beds, looks like sheets rather than sleeping bag which I is a plus).

First time going to a grandprix so very excited. Any tips or essentials I should pack?

Ear plugs, poncho, blister plasters and a power bank were what I found most helpful :)

enjoy and have the best time!!

Brazilianadventure · 18/07/2025 22:06

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope waterproofs, if it rains you will really know about it. As you are camping I would suggest really good waterproof bags to store your clothes in so you have dry clothes to change into.

My theory is take them and you won’t need them

Sunscreen & sun hats.

Ear plugs ✔️
Ponchos ✔️
blister plasters - going on the list
power bank ✔️
sunscreen ✔️
hats ✔️ we got some at McLaren live

I’ve not camped in many years so it is a mix of excitement and nerves!

Brazilianadventure · 21/07/2025 14:17

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope if you haven’t finished packing a small pair of binoculars,

Spa is my very favourite circuit. I’ve been 3 times and camped twice on site. Weather wise you ca. get every season in one day there. In 1998 I got poured on and heatstroke the same weekend!

Ah this sounds amazing, how exciting! I'd love to book for me and my son next year. Can I ask, did you book it as a package through a company or did you do it all yourself separately? Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I'd love to take my son but just don't know where to start! Hope you have a great time 😊

bluetongue · 24/07/2025 09:03

I’m a bit worried about Oscar this weekend. He’s gone so long without a DNF and his luck is bound to run out sooner or later. Not wishing bad luck on him, just have a feeling he’ll either have an incident or mechanical failure at Spa.

This is what happens when there’s too long between races. You start overthinking king these things 😂

Brazilianadventure · 24/07/2025 09:35

@bluetongue I know what you mean about the overthinking.

Ferrari have been testing an upgrade - this will be one Lewis has had input to. Apparently Lewis and Charles are giving very similar feedback which is good for develop8ng the car. I only hope they are not sacrificing the 2026 car.

It’s going to be a wet weekend - when is it not in Spa! Rain always impacts a race but even more so at Spa.

I am both hoping for rain and really hoping it doesn’t. Camp site it lovely though.

That looks lovely. My camping days are over but these organised sites always look nice.

If you are on X this is fascinating insight to what Lewis is doing at Ferrari https://x.com/fiagirly/status/1948363545504088495?s=61&t=W8z-NdrPTYy21FuiQuezcw

JamesWebbSpaceTelescope · 25/07/2025 11:19

The sun is shining - for now. We are going to bake this afternoon.

Brazilianadventure · 25/07/2025 18:31

The Haas cars did well. Lewis out in Q1, I wonder how well he can do in the sprint.

The weather forecast is showing rain on Sunday, so it’s changed but can change again.

That was super fun. I’m right near the 1St corner so got great views.

Brazilianadventure · 26/07/2025 14:55

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope can you see the cars go through eau rouge?

Max did well but Lewis and Kimi were stuck in the DRS chain.

Qually starting soon.
