Oh wow Everton Women

We are delighted to confirm that Goodison Park will become our permanent home from the start of next season!

Wow indeed.

Fantastic! Great to see that the club are thinking big as regards the women's side. I wish Arsenal had had that option...

Today's the day for Arsenal fans! Let's all hold hands through the ether. I entirely expect us to get thumped, but I hope we learn about ourselves in the process and come back with a clear plan for reaching the next level.

We've done brilliantly to get here, all the way from the qualifying rounds, but equally a CL final is not overachievement for Arsenal Women.

DuncinToffee · 24/05/2025 10:02

Good luck!

Thanks @DuncinToffee

Yes, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Hopefully Barca will have the pressure and we can just play the best match of our lives.

MrsMitford3 · 24/05/2025 16:53

My DS, DIL and future DIL are there.

Lisbon is buzzing-they have been sending pictures and videos all day and the atmosphere looks fantastic.
Everyone having beers and singing in the streets.
(And no twatty fans throwing beers)

Seems really wholesome and I am hoping for a fantastic game and if we are at our best you just never know...

kiterunning · 24/05/2025 18:41

Hang on Arsenal!

DuncinToffee · 24/05/2025 18:44

Statue for Renee Slegers! What an incredible team performance.

Yes! Let's hope we don't lose her!

I wondered who he was kissing Bonmarti like that.

kiterunning · 24/05/2025 22:13

I’m sure that she was trying to pull away and he seemed intent on prolonging his kiss. Revolting.

DuncinToffee · 24/05/2025 22:16

I haven't seen any footage, was it another Rubiales moment?

Not on the lips but very creepy and uncomfortable to watch.

I'm sure it's not. Or he might have said it in anger, but no-one took any notice. I hope, anyway.

Mary Earps has announced she is retiring from international football with immediate effect.

Very sad to see her retire and not ideal timing, but its probably the first end of season break she'll have had in a while and hopefully she'll eventually end up doing commentary. I wasn't convinced that HH was a better no1 goalie, the defence just seem to work together better when Mary is organising them but obviously Sarina thinks otherwise.

I see Millie Bright is taking an extended period of rest, not sure if that's her out of the Euro's as well or just this upcoming match.

DuncinToffee · 27/05/2025 14:50

The Guardian updated their story saying she has been considering it for the last 12-18 months and told Wiegman so in April but was asked to reconsider.

She also paid for her flights over to say goodbye in person

She deserves a rest, I wish her well.
