Football is back and so are the fans ⚽

As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/Any leagues world wide)

(Even Roy Keane was sufficiently impressed to not snarl about the opposing players and managers hugging each other at the finish! Grin)

burblish · 15/04/2022 11:25

Sorry to see Sean Dyche has been sacked after a decade at the helm at Turf Moor.

DuncinToffee · 15/04/2022 13:32

I am really surprised at his sacking

Me too, also seems a strange time to do it with a match to play Sunday. Seems a few clubs have sacked managers after losing to Norwich Confused

AndNobbyDancing · 15/04/2022 14:39

And me, really sad to see, should at least have given him the rest of the season.

For me it makes it easier now then I want Watford and Burnley to go down. Norwich I guess which is a shame but we will see them in 2023

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 15/04/2022 15:00

@YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue

So, potential new owners of Chelsea are accused of having racist views?

When the jokes just write themselves...

Theyve pulled out..nothing to do with the huge backlash...lies lol definitely played a part!!

Odd move from Burnley! Especially so close to the end.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 16/04/2022 16:56

So do neither Spurs or Arsenal fancy 4th?

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 16/04/2022 19:55

They've probably been paid to give it to ManUre...

My boy is delighted that my team held Arsenal at bay. Have had fun teasing about Spurs bottling it.

Came on to say how disappointed I was with the city fans today. I started the game a neutral but after that I wanted Liverpool to win.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 16/04/2022 22:28

Ohhhh Arteta got Manager of the month. That explains their sudden form

The annoying thing is I can see Wednesday being so predictable with Chelsea doing their best how rubbish can we play impression and Arsenal getting a win...

Oblomov22 · 19/04/2022 20:32

Spurs screw it up, yet again, no surprise.
Watching Liverpool v Man Utd. No Ronaldo Sad, who destroyed us, and they look a mess.

Barbadosgirl · 19/04/2022 21:00

Yes. Wonder what their new manager will bring? What is the issue with them? I cannot quite work out why they are not better?

AndNobbyDancing · 20/04/2022 09:08

After the total disrespect from the City fans at the weekend it was great to see the Liverpool fans getting behind the United request and clapping at 7 mins in. The rendition of YNWA did get me. Thoughts to Cristiano and his family.

Same group of players. They looked like couldn't care less yesterday. Ronaldo has helped a lot with his goals. The rest..who knows.

DuncinToffee · 20/04/2022 22:23

This is not good for my blood pressure, I take the draw though.

Typical. We lose to Palace, Southampton, and Brighton, and then beat Chelsea. The very quintessence of inconsistency!

Typical we lost to a team who have lost 3 in a row..so predictable. Home form is woeful at the mo. Miss the fortress days

WhiteHartLane · 23/04/2022 19:48

Well that was just like watching the Brighton game but thankfully without the late goal conceded. I'll take the point and hope there's better to come as the last 2 games have been so poor.

Looks like Gillingham's fate will be decided on the final game next Saturday. Will need to better Fleetwood or Morcambe's result to stay up after losing to Portsmouth earlier today 😔

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 23/04/2022 20:16

Well, good results all round for the Arsenal!

And Rio Ferdy's tears at the end just added sauce...

AndNobbyDancing · 23/04/2022 22:56

I've been driving all day so had to make do with crappy signal and five live/talksport. Arsenal seem to have found some desire, shame Spurs haven't.
Got to hand it to Eddie, he has really turned around Newcastle.

Oblomov22 · 28/04/2022 20:32

Klopp signs again eh? Strange because I'm sure he was saying not long ago that probably only one more year because he owed it to his wife to stop?

burblish · 29/04/2022 10:10

It seems Mrs Klopp loves the place as much as Jurgen does! Klopp is surely Liverpool’s second best signing of all time (King Kenny signing as a player from Celtic will always be the No.1!).

WhiteHartLane · 30/04/2022 19:24

Gillingham, Wimbledon, Donny and Crewe will be playing in league 2 next season. Was always going to be a tough ask to beat Rotherham who were chasing (and got) automatic promotion, but was disappointed to be relegated by goal difference alone. Performance today was decent but lack of goals all season has been their downfall (along with sacking Steve Evans 2 months to late) 😥
On the positives Neil Harris' post match interview was full of passion and he is up the for the challenge of next season. They also won't have a transfer embargo to contend with and after seeing several clubs like Bury and most likely Oldham folding I am thankful the locals of Medway will have a club to watch and support. UTG's.

AndNobbyDancing · 30/04/2022 19:47

Indeed. Always sad to read about clubs folding, it's not just the history and the sense of belonging it's the present and future chances that will be lost by the current and next generation.

Norwich down but that surprises nobody, suddenly rooting for Everton which is a new emotion.

Newcastle only letting in 1 against Liverpool was impressive, looking forward to watching the highlights, its six nations weekend so been watching that instead, it has been brilliant.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 01/05/2022 16:29

Aren't we nice to Frank 😂better stay up now! Given a little spark...hopefully not wasted.
Though do like Burnley!
