What to do about verruca 'root' still attached!

Name changed for this as my first sporner corner!

I've had this little verruca for 7 years now and I'm desperate to get rid of the thing. It's not got any bigger I think due to weekly trims but now suddenly I was able to pull at it and most of it has come away from the sides, leaving a little hole! When I pull it taut I can see a little pale rubbery stalk, the bottom of it still firmly fixed in the ball of my foot.

I feel like this could be it! What now??

No chemicals as I'm breastfeeding.

Do I grit my teeth and yank? Needle? Nail scissors? It bleeds if I mess with it.

No one? I really am wanting to get rid of it!!!

I’d yank it out with tweezers provided it didn’t hurt too much.

As a teen I hacked mine out with a compass..

It'll hurt like hell but I'd pull it out.

Verrucas don't have roots.

I had this once! Bled like mad and hurt like hell but saw it off once and for all!

This is the thing @CallingElfRescue I want it gone. I don't want to leave any behind and the bloody thing grow back

Update!

I pulled it out but I'm not sure I got it all. Had a good dig round with a needle and tweezers after through all the blood so hopefully if nothing else my immune system will kick in and do the rest!

Hopefully now I can have a pedicure! Been not wanting to have one for 7 years due to the potential of spreading the little sod!
