I was 17 and had a weird lump under the skin between my top lip and nose.
It didn't hurt but I could feel it inside.
Thought I would try giving it a little squeeze.
Green stuff shot out and hit the mirror and kept on coming. It was amazing.
I was hooked. Been fascinated ever since. If there was a job of "boil nurse" I would do it.
Care to share your life changing moment?

When I was about 5 or 6 at summer school. I had an older friend who had lots of blackheads and one of the carers was obviously a sporner. She offered to clean them for her and I was enthralled. Grin

I remember saying I couldn't wait to be old enough to have my very own blackheads.

My late dad had several pore of Winer on his back..one looked like a map of Great Britain and was about 3 inches long. Age 18 I made him let me prod and squeeze it and the rest is history

I picked a scab off my knee when I was 6 or 7 because it looked like a cobweb and I don't like spiders. It came off in one piece and the pattern on the reverse was fascinating.

I had an annoying spot on my chin that had been brewing for some days. Eventually one evening as I was getting ready to go to the cinema I thought that it had come to a head and gave it a good hard squeeze. At first it resisted, then I felt it go suddenly. It popped twice, shooting out first a little thick lump of pus, then another, leaving a nice flat surface and a sort of warm feeling as the blood was able to flow through.. It was so satisfying, I spent too much of the evening reliving the sheer pleasure of it and was hooked for life.

DH used to prod in my ears at blackheads. He angered one and it wouldn't shift. I largely forgot about it for a week or so and then felt something in my ear. I sort of scratched the conch bit of my ear and heard a crack and then what I can only describe as a hard bobble of gunk just popped out.

Never had anything like it since. It was a wonderful introduction.

Then oddly after that I had a few occurrences of manky toes next to the nail and used to press on the red sore bits and green pus would come out. Not had that in years either. Sad.

When I was about 9 my mum and I used to fight over who got to squeeze the blackhead between my step dad's shoulder blades. It used to fill back up so every couple of months we'd argue over who got to sort it out and had a running competition of who got the longest 'worm' out of it. Happy days. It dried up when I was about 12.

I woke up with a ripe abscess from an ingrown toenail on my 13th birthday. It hadn’t really actually been that sore for some reason but my god, it produced a taunami of the most amazing pus.

Glorious stuff. What legends are made of. I was late for registration that morning! Sadly it never made another appearance after that.

I had a cat that was a real hunter /fighter and got lots of abcesses from bites. My parents let me drain them using a hypodermic (Dad was a GP and so it was under medical supervision!).

When I was heavily pregnant and my belly button popped. The gunk I squeezed was so magnificent.
I'd do it again for another squeeze

Ahh yes I remember it fondly. I've had ingrown toenails since I was 7 and they were excruciatingly painful, my mum wasn't arsed about them so I would snip the nail myself with her manicure scissors. I had fresh pus on a daily basis, though it didn't enamour me to my friends with the smell Grin

You lot are brilliant, I very much enjoyed your tales of pus and gunk!

My DH had an amazing lump on his earlobe a couple of years back. I persuaded him to let me have a little squeeze (under controlled conditions on the decking). It shot about six feet, green gunge. It was lovely.
He has recurrent foliculitis (hope I spelled that right) and I get to squeeze the resulting yellow spots. So satisfying.

When I was about 11 my mom (who worked in retail) cut her thumb deeply, right down the middle of her thumbnail while using a razor blade to scrape off shelf tags. She went and got it looked at and dressed but when it came time to change the dressing couldn't make herself do it. So I did it while she sat on the toilet lid, throwing up into the sink she was so nauseated at the mere sight of it, while I cleaned it off and rebandaged it and rather enjoyed the whole thing.

Sitting in a lecture at uni the lecturer said that there are two types of people in the world - those who like to squeeze spots and those who don't. He asked for a show of hands for each.

I realised I was the former.

As a dc of about 10yo dm had a cyst behind her ear.. She cut it with a razor blade....
I was nearly sick...

Early teens I had to wear heavy stage makeup on my shoulders and upper body that brought me out in spots. It soon went after the production but that was it for me.

It went largely dormant until I discovered Dr Pimple Popper and her ‘Big Back Blackheads’ video on YouTube. Now I’m fully addicted.

I have been from being quite young, I got a nasty gash on my foot from a motorbike falling on it and I remember taking the scab off in assembly at school.

I love a squeeze and my younger brother always had millions of blackheads to squeeze. My eldest child allows me to squeeze but my youngest likes to do it herself.

I have to admit, I'm still not a hardcore fan- there are some things that still turn my stomach.

And I really only like squeezing the spots/digging out blackheads etc of loved ones, so I couldn't do it for a job.

But... I was very young when I realised I was a spot squeezer Grin

DP has lovely oily skin, and a very hairy body, which makes for some splendid squeezing. And DS2 is developing teenage zits, which he still lets me attend to (long may it last)

First boyfriend had a masseeve blackhead by his ear. After being an item for a few weeks, asked if I could squeeze it ...

Second boyfriend had terrible skin. If I had to pick a highlight it would be the shoulder spot that drenched me.

Husband, sadly, had long outgrown acne by the time we met. He did let me have a go at the dead skin on his feet - once about 15 years ago - never let me near them since Sad. Won't let me near his ear-wax either. I know, I should LTB Grin.

Discovered my mum was a sporner when I was at my sister's house - she has one of those internet-connected TVs that will play YouTube - I put Dr Pimple Popper on - my mum was hooked! My sister is a sporner but won't do ear-wax at all for some reason.

I remember an ear spot - it didn't really feel like anything was in there, but I pushed my nail along the bottom trench in my ear and felt/heard something explode - extracted my finger and had a huge gob of pus on my nail. Then I looked like I had a brain injury as the blood trickled over the edge of my ear...

Another one I loved was when my DD took off a verruca plaster after swimming and the whole root came away with it.

I kind of always knew but had little material to work on.

Then aged 21 I had an incredibly hot boyfriend with skin whose quality I can't really describe - big pores, smooth and glassy. He used to get the most incredible blackheads - face, back, everywhere. And a couple of times he lay with his head on my lap while I attacked them. Sadly he got fed up of it eventually and banned me. I've been searching for the perfect blackhead ever since. I'm not a Dr Pimple Popper fan, I think she's a clumsy butcher and far too keen on scalpels. Luckily there's so many alternatives for the blackhead aficionado now.
