NC for obvious reasons.

So, 6 months ago I got an infection on my foot. It spread and took 3 lots of increasingly strong antibiotics and 3 months to get back in shoes from a small weird blister.

Been in socks since, no issues. With warmer weather comes bare feet and dog's shedding. I noticed some hair between my little toe and next one. But sort of stuck. So I tweezered them out, noticed a bit of a hole/pit and thought I'd better keep that clean and get some cream on it.

Tonight I go back for a second look. I notice there's a dark patch the other side. Then I notice the hairs sticking out there too. ShockConfusedBlush

So I'll call the doc tomorrow before my toe falls off because I'm pretty sure this 🕳 goes all the way through.

And because I'm nice I took a video of me pulling some hairs out...

That was brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing!

@Elouera The tweezers aren't manky, anything you can see on them is metal striations.

My nails are a bit dirty as I was heading off to a bath soak after hand feeding soggy biscuits to puppies. And also look a bit shit where my natural nails have grown up under the extensions.

But whatever, it's sporner corner. Dirtier the better.

Oh OP that is terrible and delightful in equal measures!

Clevererthanyou · 18/04/2020 00:45

Elouera, did it not occur to you to check what sporner corner was about before committing yourself to a thread just to be a nasty twit? Smile

Now OP. Don't worry about getting more hair in there. Mmmmmm.

That's weird, but so pleased you took a video. Please do let us know if the hole goes all the way through. Most unusual. I'd get some antiseptic cream on that.

This thread reminded me of something called Morgellons

Ps don’t read that link if you’re squeamish

I know of a dog groomer who had hairs between fingers. It eventually needed surgery to remove them all so I think it’s good you managed to get them out!

BlackeyedSusan · 20/04/2020 01:30

Oh my god.

Like an ear piercing, but in your toe, by dog hair.

I feel ill and fascinated and my toes have curled up in horror.

ThanosSavedMe · 20/04/2020 14:36

anyone else itching after reading 5
that link?!

I don’t think it’s dog hair, I sometimes get these on my torso. Not quite a blackhead but when I pull it it’s like a hair but in a sebaceous like structure. They can be 1/2 inch long.

You need to see a podiatrist. If you have a tunnel all the way through you have developed a fistula ( epithelialised Tracy which will only heal if laid open or a cut made along the Tract to allow it to heal from base upwards

I often get dog hairs in my foot but usually on the top when I've put socks on and trapped one; I know it's happened when i get a sharp itchy feeling on my foot. I pulled one out yesterday that was around an inch long, half of it was under my skin, it's very satisfying pulling them out
