This began life as a spider bite, but within 24 hours had bloomed into an infected, terrific (yet hideously painful) boil. I have been to the doctor and am now taking horse-size antibiotic pills. The doctor said to expect that it will either a) erupt on its own or b) I will need to come in to have it drained and cleaned. In either case I will do my utmost to document the experience for you, my nasty lovelies.

Wait??? Noooooo!! Surely, to make it more comfortable, you'll need to deal with that, like NOW!!

DocMcFanjo · 09/06/2016 07:05

Agree. BURST IT!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/06/2016 07:05

Please don't waste the NHS's time with that! please take photos while you diy

TheWizardOfOs · 09/06/2016 07:14

Oh my. That is a beauty.

Can we have more pics please.

cosmicglittergirl · 09/06/2016 07:21

A spider?! In the U.K.?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/06/2016 07:25

I got a spider bite a couple of years ago in the UK, I needed anti biotics and I've still got the scar. It was awful!

MrsHathaway · 09/06/2016 07:44

Yowzer.

Can't wait!

cosmicglittergirl · 09/06/2016 09:04

I'm not scared of spiders but I don't want them biting me. Shock

cosmicglittergirl · 09/06/2016 09:04

Looking forward to seeing this pop though.

DoubleNegativePanda · 09/06/2016 13:42

I forgot to mention I live in Texas, land of very big spiders and insects.

This morning it has not burst. If it's still acting this way after work I will DIY it and get dad to film for you (although she may vomit).

This fella didn't bite me, but visited me at my office. Texas is a strange land, where these run free. He was three inches across and four inches long.

DD. Not my dad. Although he'd probably be a willing participant.

How long until 'tonight' where you are op?

I'm excited Blush

RedCrimson · 09/06/2016 18:32

And that's Texas off my list for a potential place to live. That spider is terrifying!

You need to squeeze it now and video it to make up for the shock of me seeing that spider!

sonlypuppyfat · 09/06/2016 18:34

This is the reason I don't travel

BankWadger · 09/06/2016 18:37

Envy at the pus and Envy at the spider (I 'd love a tarantula)

SandunesAndRainclouds · 09/06/2016 20:35

I am never going to Texas, that's for sure.

pieceofpurplesky · 09/06/2016 22:26

That's a fluffy spider

doodlejump1980 · 09/06/2016 22:29

Nope! Never going to Texas now! Eek!

barkingfly · 09/06/2016 22:39

Y'all know everything is bigger in Texas.

SingingSands · 09/06/2016 22:42

I have a lovely friend living in Texas.
I'm not visiting her. Ever.

TheSpottedZebra · 09/06/2016 22:46

Oh it's fine if she vomits as long as she holds the camera steady. Truth be told, she could probably post a picture of that and we'd all congratulate her.

Dame if you wanted to, you could show us your scar? Grin

DoubleNegativePanda · 10/06/2016 00:31

Holy hell. Just tried to poke/pop/squeeze the bugger and it hurt so badly. Sent me straight through the roof.

I'm off to hot flannel it and hope that brings it up some. If I press/squeeze around the edges, it fees like a marble under there. This is going to be lovely if I can manage it!

No worries though. If the doctor has to do it, I'm still filming Grin

ellenanora5 · 10/06/2016 20:16

That is very impressive, how is it now DoubleNegative, bigger I hope Grin

Did you get any filming done

Thespottedzebra, your post made me laugh, "it's fine if she vomits" Grin Grin

gaggiagirl · 10/06/2016 20:21

I can't wait to see more!
