Parenting isn’t always easy - each day can feel busy, messy and unpredictable. From everyday skincare routines to bedtime and bonding it’s natural to have questions about caring for your baby’s delicate skin.

JOHNSON’S® Baby has teamed up with Mumsnet and Professor Tess McPherson, Consultant Dermatologist, to answer your questions about baby and toddler skin.

For over 130 years, JOHNSON’S® Baby has been trusted by parents, with products developed for newborn and delicate skin. Its products are paediatrician and dermatologist tested, helping parents feel more confident in those everyday care moments from day one.

You might want to ask:

  • What’s a simple skincare routine for newborn or sensitive skin?
  • How can I support my baby’s skin barrier from day one?
  • Can a bedtime routine benefit my baby, and where should I start?
  • How can baby massage support my baby’s skin and our bonding time together?

Post your question below by 04/11/2026 for the chance to win a £200 VEX voucher (T&Cs apply) and (VEX T&Cs apply).

Some people bath their baby every day. Does this affect the skin?

How can I protect my baby’s skin from chlorine before her first (upcoming!) swim? It’s not delicate apart from nappy rash from perfumed nappies (pampers) but I’m nervous the swim might upset how healthy it’s been. She’s 3-4 months.

Why do you think so many babies and children have eczema - was so rare when I was young and growing up - now it seems to be much more common sadly - purely down to being undiagnosed or external factors we have now that were not there 40 years ago ?
