How would you cover a small birth mark on my childs cheek. so it's not so visible - she is very self conscious about it and is open to bullying once she is at. school ?

Which product would you recommend to use on my 8yr old daughter, she had red, sore, itchy eczema in her elbow creases and behind her knees? Emollients from the doctors haven't worked and I'm worried about the long term effects of hyrdrocortisone cream.

How often should a child wash who gets dry skin? Does a daily bath dry the skin out and make it worse?

What do you recommend for teenage skin as a face wash? My son has sensitive skin prone to eczema and now has reached that pubertal stage and his skin looks a bit oily.
Thanks

My DS2 has reoccurring cradle cap, I've tried several creams, which work for the short term, but it always seems to come back. Do I need to keep applying creams long term - any advice ?

Hi, my girls love a bubble bath. I'm always weary about them as the bubble mixture really dries them up.

What could I use instead that leaves their skin moist as well clean?

I was told that moisturising dry skin alone wouldn't work eg knees, elbows etc and that you have to exfoliate. Surly exfoliation isn't recommended for children?

When a child's skin is dry, is it better to bath with something in the water or to shower so they're out the water quicker?

My DD is 11 and has bad acne and blackheads.i want to try and get her into a helpful skincare routine before she starts secondary school. She's already being teased in primary school about it. What products can help her?

I'm worried about my DD getting spots. I had them very badly as early teen up until I was late 20s. and I don't want her sufffering too. They plagued my life.

I know I can't stop them for her but what is a good preventative skincare routine now? She is 11 and uses cetaphil with a cotton sponge at the moment.

Hands rather than facial skin:
Dd has very sensitive skin, lots of handwashes/soaps/anti-bac washes dry her hands out. What can she use on her hands to remoisturise them? She had bad reactions to Norwegian formula, even to aveeno. I am somewhat loath to let her use my clarins hand cream! (Literally the only hand cream my skin can tolerate)

DD (7) has very dry & apparently fragile cuticles, she frequently picks at her nails (but doesn’t bite them). I’m pretty sure it’s inherited as DH cuticles are similar - likely to peel, & gets an awful lot of nasty-looking hangnails. Is diligent application of cream the only answer or is there anything else? What kind of cream should I get? I don’t have this problem so I’m rather in the dark, & DH is no help, he just doesn’t bother with any kind of skincare.

I am also interested in the comments regarding early facial care, as I have (still) at nearly 40, got tricky, acne prone skin, despite 2 courses of roaccutane.

Have you any recommendations for dry lips? I have a lip-licking 6 year old, I’m trying to discourage the licking, but would like to know what is best to use to make them feel more comfortable and moisturised. Thank you.

Do you have any recommendations for dry and irritated skin around the eyes of my 15 year old son?
He suffers from hayfever but has had dry, red and slightly flaky skin around his eyes over winter so am not sure if it's linked?
It tends to be angrier first thing in the morning and calms down a bit as the day goes on.
Thank you

  1. How do we identify what is causing contact irritation? Occasional flare ups on hands with seemingly irregular triggers.

  1. Is it right that fewer baths help sensitive skin? For me it’s a balance of hygiene vs skin issues!

My daughter (10) has a few black heads on her nose and has just had her first spot on her chin. I don't want to use anything harsh on her young skin. At the moment she washes her face with Cetaphil, what else could you recommend for a skin routine or spot treatment?

What's the best way to get rid of closed milia on a young girls skin? I often prick my own with a sterile needle to extract the hardened sebum but I don't want to do this on my 12 year old!
