Hi, I have keratosis pilaris on my upper arm. My ds who is 10 has it on his cheeks. What would you suggest as an effective treatment on kids?

How many times should you bath a young child, would excessive bathing remove natural oils, I seem to have conflicting advice on this matter. I bath DS1 and 2 daily, but other than the play value, is this too much and does skin need 'a rest' from bathing ~?

Both my DC (5&7) get very dry hands - mainly on the back of the hands across the knuckles. They wear gloves in cold weather but is there anything else we could do to help prevent it? They get red & sore and I think can be quite painful.
Neither seem to have dry skin anywhere else on their body either.
Thank you.

My 6 year old has terribly bumpy, 'chicken skin' on her upper arms - she often gets pimples on her arms too - any pointers for how to improve her skin condition?

My dds 12 and 15, have what looks like keratosis pilaris, dry, red and slightly bumpy cheeks, and the younger also gets bumps on her thighs, which she is getting anxious about. They both have sensitive, very fair and delicate skin. What can I use to help ?

my son is about to go through puberty and cannot cope with complex skin care regimes. What would your recommendation be to keep his skin in good condition?

My son has very dry skin, it doesn’t bother him or itch him so shall I leave it or treat it?
Also my daughter has a birthmark that’s about 5cms x 3cms thats brown and has some hairs coming out of it. What advice would you give me about that?
Thank you.

We are trying to be more environmentally friendly and use soap bars rather than plastic, but soap is quite drying for my son's skin. Are there some good alternatives you could suggest?

My DD (6) seems to always spots after using SPF on her face. It doesn't look like an allergy. It's more like congestion. Which ingredient is likely to be causing this and could you recommend a SPF that won't do this? She's a little young for spots! Grin

My DD is on steroids and it makes her skin very thin and dry. What is the best way to mitigate this?

Hello

Should I be moisturising my 6 year old's face on a regular basis?

Both DS and DD seem to have grown out of their eczema. Is this likely for good or do I need be prepared (have creams at hand) for flare ups? And what causes flare ups? Thank you.

Can you recommend a face wash for an 8 year old boy who gets lots of spots around oily nose and cheeks please.

Currently using a Simple foaming face wash and Aveeno moisturising lotion after but I don't think the face wash is doing much-I see a build up of skin on his forehead and nose and I dont want to be scrubbing hard at these areas.

Also, after how long can I expect a spider angioma to fade. Son has had one under his eye for about 4 years and it only looks to be getting redder not paler.

Hi, my child gets eczema around her lips - I’m assuming from licking them, is there anything you can recommend? Thank you.

My DD 14 has black heads on her T zone. She currently uses clear start by dermalogica.
Her skin is very sensitive and very pale
She also suffers with awful blackheads on her back. She does have a lot if downy hair on her back and I'm wondering if it's the hair follicles getting blocked?
Any advice?

How often do you recommend bathing a child with eczema? And do you believe bath additives work or should you just stick to plain water as much as possible? Thanks!

I have rosacea. Is there anything I can do to reduce the likelihood that my child will get it later?/ Is it something that can be inherited?

With the amount of handwashing at the moment, dds hands are getting very dry (as are mine). Do you recommend any soaps/handwashes/creams that do the job while not drying out the skin?

Can you recommend a sensible skincare routine for 11 year old boys please? He’s starting to get a couple of tiny spots, but mainly I just want to start good habits before puberty really kicks in. Nothing too harsh obviously and nothing he won’t stick with or use because it’s too feminine! And is water and a flannel enough at this age? Thank you.
