La Roche-Posay are bringing Dr Catherine, Consultant Dermatologist, back to answer your questions about children’s skincare: whether you have a child with a skin condition you’d like advice on, or you’d just like to know how to deal with winter skin. Dr Catherine will be online on 18th March from midday to answer your questions.

Plus, Dr Catherine will be speaking at the Baby & Toddler Show in Manchester (15th March) and Glasgow (26th April) and La Roche-Posay have tickets to give away. If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning tickets and meeting Dr Catherine at the shows, please leave your details here.

Adults are now being advised to wear sunscreen all year round particularly on their faces, would you recommend this for children too ?

SmileyShazza · 06/04/2020 15:32

Hi

Do you have any tips for persistent cradle cap? Our 6 year old seems to have a small patch that will not clear up no matter what I put on it.

My DD age 12 has really sensitive skin and everything seems to give her a red itchy rash. But she suffers from really dry skin and is starting to get a few spots too. What is the best brand for body moisturiser? What should she use on her face to keep it clean and to moisturise it? Thanks

AlliKaneSon · 08/04/2020 02:21

My daughter has small patches of eczema on her arms and legs and very dry skin on the whole. She has cream to use but doesn’t like the feel of it on her face. She had very sensitive skin and we’ve tried lots of moisturisers on her face, but her skin reacts badly. Is there a particular cream she could use on her face which is light, but still moisturises effectively?

Does avoiding cow's milk help your skin?

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 13/04/2020 08:41

Should we always put sun lotion on if they are in the sun? I read somewhere that 20 minutes without it is recommended as it’s good for their skin?
My daughter has a large birthmark what’s the best thing I can do for sun protection for it?
Thank you.

My child has eczema, what can I use on it, doublebase doesn't seem to help?

RACHELSMITH45 · 12/09/2020 09:20

Couple of queries...my 10 year old seems to be suffering with a spotty forehead recently..is it worth her using a cleanser and what can you recommend?

Shes also begun suffering with dandruff and I'm wondering how to get this sorted asap? Thanks

Lorlypop · 12/09/2020 19:03

How do you stop teenagers from squeezing their spots?!

SonjaMorgan · 13/09/2020 13:40

My DC has sore cracked skin from repeatedly using hand sanitiser in school. They are now using E45 during in the day to help soothe the skin but it does not seem to be getting any better. Will this cream harbour bacteria and be more harmful than not using hand sanitiser at all? And will the skin improve if they keep using the sanitiser?

lillypopdaisyduke · 29/09/2020 10:52

@JustineBMumsnet. @YanaMumsnet.

Child gets very dry skin which can become sore in colder months. How often should I be washing and using moisturisers

NumbIcanbe · 08/04/2021 14:03

My 6 year old gets red raw skin around her mouth and chin as she licks and slathers a lot. What can we do to prevent and then soothe the area?
