DFS has asked us to find 12 Mumsnetters to attend an exclusive event on 19th July in Marylebone, London where they’ll be matched to a sofa by a DFS expert.

The event will take place on Wednesday 19th July in Marylebone, London. The event will be held in two sessions - these will be 10.30am - 1.30pm and 3pm - 7pm. Travel costs will be covered by DFS, but will be capped at £50 and all attendees will receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher for attending.

Anyone else keeping an eye on their email?

Yes, I haven't heard anything back , want to claim back my ticket and find out sofa details , as well as voucher. Was fun but a little bit disorganised !

Did you not sign a form and give them your receipt(s) on the day? That's what they were doing with most people...

Nope I spoke to Matt(?) who took my email and said he would be in touch about receipts (said I could email over a picture of it). I do have the direct number of my sofa consultant.

How do we go for the sofa deal though? We got zero information about how to do it, who to contact, who won the sofa, how to get our voucher, etc!

Yes, it was an interesting event. Being able to speak to the interior designer was the most useful rather than the DFS staff. However, having been to other Mumsnet sponsored events, this one was extremely disorganised by comparison. No-one seemed to know what we were there for! The DFS lady who was paired with me thought we were all getting free sofas and wanted to know what I had picked!

Can I ask someone from the morning session did you officially pick one sofa either to win or purchase?

I was in the morning session and the answer is no. No-one wrote anything down - not even my name! I asked the lady who I was paired with to write down my sofa choice (for me to take away - not for their records) and she had to scrabble around for scrap paper and a pen. There was no plan whatsoever to record our choices or take our details for the prize draw from what I could see.

Same here , I do wonder if we will ever actually get our travel refunded even if we send our details over to that email Justine sent out.

Was curious who won the sofa of their choosing and how do we go about the half price offer from DHS. I would have thought they would be keen for us to go to the showrooms.

Did you get your expenses paid anyone and did you decide to order a sofa.

I received the expenses only last week. Ordered the sofa 10 week wait. I haven't received the vouchers as they was sent to my old address but Justine was sorting them out hopefully.

I've ordered mine by email to Venetia but no one has rang me to do payment etc
