DFS has asked us to find 12 Mumsnetters to attend an exclusive event on 19th July in Marylebone, London where they’ll be matched to a sofa by a DFS expert.

If you’re selected to come to our exclusive London event, you’ll not only be matched to your perfect sofa by a DFS expert (and receive a hefty 50% discount to boot), but also be one of the stars of our online videos. Plus one lucky Mumsnetter will win the chance to take home their chosen sofa for free. All attendees will also receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher for taking part. We’re going to make the process of finding your perfect sofa simple, painless and fun!”

The event will take place on Wednesday 19th July in Marylebone, London. The event will be held in two sessions - these will be 10.30am - 1.30pm and 3pm - 7pm. Travel costs will be covered by DFS, but will be capped at £50 and all attendees will receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher for attending.

Following the event, we’d like all attendees to share their feedback on a thread on Mumsnet.

Every dfs sofa I have sat on is fine on short acquaintance, but after an hour is really uncomfortable. I don't know why that is, but I would never buy another.

I've had my DFS aofa for six years 3 kids and a plenty of adults using it everyday and it's still fine. Just looks a bit faded.

Not that I'll be attending but our large leather sofa and armchair from DFS is 12yrs old and still going strong. Unfortunately! I want a new one but feel guilty when theirs one is still so good. Never had any issues with them.

I've no experience of DFS but we spent ££££ on a bespoke made designer sofa which looks shabby after a few years and has never been particularly comfy. So nothing is guaranteed!

Well.. apparantly my sofa is stuck on a boat.. which has broken down. I've been offered a temporary sofa set until mine are delivered, but as it's hoped my set might arrive on Tuesday I've declined the temporary set.

Surprised at th comments on here. We bought our sofas from dfs a few months ago and we love them. Very well made, comfy, and the service was excellent.

I'm not in the market for another sofa but got to be honest in my review of them. We'd use them again and recommend. Pic of what we bought attached.

How long is the event likely to be and what time of the day roughly?

Have to say Matthew from DFS customer services has kept in close contact. The sofa should be arriving in store this Weds and out for delivery to me on Thurs (fingers crossed)

Well, I'm in.

Bought our two Drs sofas 10 years ago. All delivered on time IIRC. Have lasted well through the baby and toddlers years. Couple of zips now gone but considering the battering they have taken,I've been really pleased. So yes, I'd love a new dfs sofa - count me in.

I love how they are specifically targeting mothers in the midweek, with half of it outside school hours but are aiming for a child free event

Our sofas arrived on Thursday and I'm pleased to report that they are bloody lovely!!! Over the moon with them. Matthew from customer services was brilliant.

LOL at the idea of being matched with perfect sofa. I once went into my local DFS store and tried sitting on every single sofa on display. There was not a single one that was comfortable to sit on, not one.

Hi. Can I ask what happens next with this? It was a little disorganised on the day in terms of finding out how to get our discount, how to get our voucher, and how to find out who won the sofa? No-one seemed to know anything. Could we have an update please?

I would just like to say that despite the shop being so very hot, the lovely crew made it fun. We all had a giggle. Thanks for arranging.
