With the kind help of ten mums and their children (including, we think, at least a couple of mumsnetters) pre-school TV channel, Cartoonito, recorded a new rendition of 'My Favourite Things' from The Sound of Music with Myleene Klass at the piano. To see the finished product click here

Cartoonito now want Mumsnetters to tell them about your favourite and least favourite things about parenthood. Everyone who contributes will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £100 Mothercare vouchers. Click here to hear what other mums and dads have said already.

Thanks

Love - The simple sound of her laughter - completely genuine and not yet tainted by the grown up world of falseness & cynisim

Hate - The 2 foot high snail trail of snot & handprints around the house!

Favourite: Coming home from work and having them run to me smiling

Least Favourite: Settlind down in the evening with a glass of beer and them both waking up crying!

Favorite - The smiles and simple pleasures of a muddy puddle & sticks, enjoying all the things I did as a kid again.

Least favorite - Having to out think and negotiate with a 4 year old through the constant rounds tantrums.

worst thing: working single mother guilt and having to leave them with a babysitter whne I go out to work. Also the constant tiredness of never getting a full night's sleep!

Best thing: cuddles, smiles and little arms wrapping around you! Seeing my precious babies grow and develop into kind, caring and considerate children!

Best thing: When he says 'You're my best friend mummy' (although he also says that about lots of other random stuff like his mate Jack and bizarrely the moon).

Worst thing: the tantrums surely? Nothing really prepares you to deal with them and public ones are just mortifying. Oh and then feeling guilty because it must be something you're doing wrong as a parent?!

The best thing about parenthood is there is a new best thing about it everyday, todays is observing my children love each other despite the 4 year age gap (11 months and 5) The terrifying fear that at some point something will hurt, or devastate them, or me.

Best thing giving and recieving unconditional love. This week is half term and I love having my children at home with me spending time together and doing everyday activities like baking and taking them out and just chilling with them.

Worst thing - bedtime when they are really tired. If I dont time it just right with my aneamic five yr old its tears all the way.

best thing is watching these amazing little people grow and interact with their siblings, friends and the world.

Worst thing is knowing there will be a time when they dont need you as much
