Have you taken a TUI holiday with teenage kids that offered something for everyone?

Whether it was at a TUI hotel, a Marella cruise, or a Crystal Ski Holidays getaway, we’d love to hear about your favourite holiday experience with your teens. Or maybe you’ve planned one for this year? Share your experiences and recommendations in the comments below!

One lucky winner that takes part in the discussion will receive a £100 VEX voucher - T&Cs here.

Here’s what TUI have to say:

"At our TUI BLUE hotels with a Family Fun highlight, we’ve created a dedicated teens area exclusively designed for teenagers aged 12-15 with a range of activities tailored just for them. This includes beach and pool games, various challenges, and a fun evening party once a week. Available from June to September, it's the perfect way for teens to have a bit of independence and make new friends while on holiday. We also have plenty of hotels with on-site waterparks!

Our family-friendly ships are also well versed in keeping kids of all ages entertained with escape rooms, climbing walls, minigolf courses and indoor-and-outdoor cinemas on offer. The Hideout is a designated space for 12 - 17 year olds and adults and kids can also enjoy the Gamer Zone. What’s more, Marella Discovery 2 has recently introduced its first immersive interactive gaming experience, Play Wall, for the whole family to enjoy!"

We are going on a TUI holiday in just under 5 weeks and are very excited! Our children are 19, 17 and 13... and this is our first ever trip abroad as a family (the last time we went abroad was Jan 2006).

We picked a TUI hotel that has a water park to keep the kids happy, choices of bars and restaurants to keep everyone happy and plenty of activities available for us all!

I just hope we have as good a time as I hope as this will be our only opportunity to get abroad for quite some time.

Definately an all inclusive package with LOTS of activites to keep them busy. We went to an all inclusive with TUI to Mallorca, once you've paid your holiday - you really don't need spends so you can have control over your holiday budget.
My boys did archery, a bowling game, water polo and skittles - we were able - for the first time to have a partially relaxing couple of hours every day

AI is a godsend with picky but endlessly hungry teenagers. Mine love a buffet.

I've heard that Martinhal Sagres is amazing for kids! I think there are lots of sports activities for teenagers, as well as kids spa treatments etc.!

I took my son to Mexico (Riviera Maya region) with Tui one year (can’t recall the exact hotel). It was an excellent holiday with a beautiful hotel with its own ice cream parlour, we did pottery painting there one day etc, and there just so much to do for teens locally - we went swimming in cenotes and with turtles and rays, we went to Xel-Ha (a water park set in a place of natural beauty and using the natural landscape as much as possible), swam with dolphins there, we also went on a pirate ship evening cruise from Cancun and to see a local Mayan settlement where we did kayaking and zip wiring etc, and then had a traditional meal etc. It was amazing.

We've done a few Tui holidays with teens, Spain, Turkey, 2 trips to Mexico, Thailand and Cape Verde. Each holiday was very different but we were really happy with all of them.

We booked in store and have always felt the service and advice have been great. It's not always the cheapest option, but as we go in the school holidays they've been about the same as most other providers.

They do make family holidays easier.

We’re thinking about going to Olhuveli Romance -
looks like it has everything we’ll need to keep the teens entertained!!

Wow! This sounds so fun. A great example of family fun for both teens and adults. I'll be looking into Mexico for my next holiday!

Agree, a buffet definitely goes down well with teens! And with my DH - win win!

We're heading to Wales later this year.. but if we were travelling further afield with our 12 year old - Aqualand Resort and Waterpark in Corfu looks AMAZING!!! I've always fancied Corfu after watching The Durrells & I think showing my son this might just bring him round to the idea too! :)

Looking at Khao Lak, Thailand for me and the children for 2026 - something to save for - plus I have an inheritance which I can collect. 4 pools and all inclusive - this would be a once in a lifetime holiday.
We trust Tui to take care of us, and have the best hotels and staff and safety for our children.

DinkyDaffodil · 15/03/2025 13:14

We did a Marella discovery cruise with my DC's and nieces 12 and 15, the ship is really easy to navigate, the daily planner helps us plan the daily activities, and the entertainment was amazing - I would say that the restaurant food is not the quality I had expected - but we then preferred the self serve, not as formal and we were able to eat what we wanted.

HobNobAddict · 15/03/2025 13:18

We stayed at the Tui Blue Tarida beach in Ibiza last year, love trying the archery and shuffleboard games, there was so much to do in terms of activities - well run and with very enthusiastic staff. Only negative was the tennis courts a bit far from the complex to be bothered with. Pools were great and food was super.

Nowvoyager99 · 16/03/2025 17:25

I took my teenage daughter to Sorrento and was very nervous about it because she was a stroppy 15 year old who believed my sole purpose in life was to inconvenience, humiliate and annoy her.

The hotel (Jaccarino) was AMAZING. So beautiful, like a little palace. We took advantage of the free walking tour on offer, so I felt confident she wouldn’t get lost if she stormed off in a strop because I had looked at her or something equally unforgivable.

We went on trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Amalfi, all arranged by TUI. It was so beautiful and such a bonding experience for us at a difficult time (I was getting divorced from her father)

It is probably the best holiday I’ve ever had.

HomeWorkingAngel · 16/03/2025 22:12

We went on holiday to Lake Garda with Tui when our daughter was a teenager and loved it. The resort had lots of activities on offer. We were all inclusive and the food was excellent. There was a buffet and lots to choose from.

You will love Thailand @lovemyflipflops ! It's my favourite destination for so many reasons. The friendliest people, gorgeous food and weather. Enjoy!

We have always wanted to travel when our DC's were older, and are interested in Leopard Beach hotel and spa In Diani Beach, Kenya. Whitewashed walls and thatched roofs sounds amazing. Plus the DC's are now capable of long haul flights - and can sleep on planes so red eye flights would not be too much of a deterrent.
I'd just need to look into what (if any) immunisations we would need.

We loved our Tui Blue to Menorca last year - the food buffet was good -even for the pickiest of eaters - they were even encouraged to try new foods by staff which they did. There was a griddle with freshly cooked meat which we loved. The activities for the children were really well run, and the air conditioning in the rooms was just a lovely to have - a good nights sleep is so important when you have had a super busy day in the pool.

Fancyquickthinker · 19/03/2025 08:17

I went to Malta last year with my extended family and DC's - mainly to see the war graves of my DFIL's uncle. We stayed at a hotel airport the night before and it really saved a lot of stress of the early airport start, and the cost was not too bad.
The hotel Preluna hotel and spa was great for all of the family, and there were scuba lessons for the older children which they loved.
We did find the island very compacted with the old and new buildings,
I think it is somewhere everyone should visit because of the history, English culture and cuisine which is not like anywhere I have been before - coming from the amount of 'invaders' who have controlled the islands over the centuries.

prawncocktailcrispss · 19/03/2025 11:46

I'd be looking for a holiday where a 14 and 16 year old can be entertained and treat like young adults rather than children - with activities they enjoy and can learn - mine want to try scuba and archery - but I'd want to look into the scuba to ensure that the hotels had trained instructors - looking to book or this year - heard that Malta has good scuba seas.

prettypeace · 19/03/2025 23:08

Agree a Tui holiday to Mexico is a great idea for teens. Spent ages researching holiday ideas as we had a teenager and much older son to consider; wanted to find something we'd all really enjoy - this was it! Visiting temples (Chichen Itza) was a great success but there's so much to do in the Mexican Riviera and the beaches and wildlife are stunning! Those AI complexes are amazing too. And Tui looked after us well, the whole experience was unforgettable. Now finding it hard to find anything that matches up...

purplepandas · 20/03/2025 10:58

Tricky as one does not like to fly and neither like activities. We did a TUI holiday to Majorca and that went well although they were younger. Quieter resort and pools plus endless ice cream and drinks.
