It’s November and we are in peak shopping and deals period of the year. Shopping online can be a great way to save money and find exclusive deals that aren’t available on the high street, but what tips can you share that help you get even better deals online? Perhaps you subscribe to price-drop emails, utilise coupon websites or maybe you have a trusted price comparison tool. Whatever your tips are, please share with us below.

  • Post your tips/hacks in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).
Here’s what Klarna has to say: "It can be expensive buying products online, the prices can vary greatly from one merchant to another. The endless options and deals can be overwhelming and time-consuming to sort through. That's why we've introduced our new search and compare tool, designed to simplify your shopping experience. With this tool, you can spend less time searching and more time saving money - whether you're shopping for electronics, home appliances, fashion or everyday essentials, we've got you covered. Our search and compare tool not only helps you find great deals, but it also shows you how prices have fluctuated over time. This allows you to make an informed decision on whether it's the right time to make your purchase. Shop smarter with the Klarna app and get great value for the money and time you spend."

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

I always check the hotukdeals app or website first and then Google discount codes. Then I check blue light incase I can get an NHS discount

Montydoo · 13/12/2023 16:30

Pen and paper of google searches and reviews - and check stock levels before you get excited about a bargain - especially at Argos - check customer reviews

imaceleb2023 · 13/12/2023 16:32

i google it, and then use topcashback to get a discount on it, via the money back!

ohdannyboy · 14/12/2023 19:32

Price runner and kelkoo - and good old google

NuckingFightmare · 15/12/2023 18:02

I use price comparison sites to find the best price then see if I can get any discount with blue light card or voucher codes. Then I order through top cashback

violentknight · 15/12/2023 18:08

Sign up to Quidco then check if retailer has deals. I usually use e-bay. If you connect your e-bay account with your nectar, you get points which do mount up and can be converted to credit.

ladyluck13 · 15/12/2023 18:13

I find it easier to search for a particular item one at a time, and compare the prices via Google shopping..always check on ebay n vinted too for a bargain

kristinage · 15/12/2023 19:19

I check on Google first and then amazon, eBay and market places on Facebook.

Fisu · 15/12/2023 23:49

I use price comparison websites then check for voucher codes too.
Have recently used cash back websites although continue to await cashback being applied?!

pushchairprincess · 17/12/2023 07:21

Google price comparisons sites - there are loads, and cut and paste the item you are looking for - always read the customer reviews - cheapest is NOT always best, and check if you can get cashback or points if you're buying from a supermarket.

JacCharlton · 19/12/2023 14:39

Use Kelkoo - I find that one the best of those out there.

Louw82 · 26/12/2023 19:57

Black Friday deals are great, you can sign up for newsletters that let you know when they are happening. Price comparison websites are also great!

Beabeautiful · 28/12/2023 18:29

I would recommend using pricerunner and kelkoo for the item you are looking for - read the reviews and if there is interest free credit - that's a plus for me - I can pay for it in instalments

youareonlyhereonce · 29/12/2023 11:19

My tips are not to get drawn in by huge discounts on white goods - there maybe a reason behind it - do your research first, read verified reviews, and the specs of the item - it's no point buying a half price washing machine with the spin is only 800 for instance - THEN do your price comparison on the sites available

flowersfromheaven · 29/12/2023 19:48

I use google search and every site possible to find the best deals and I always read the reviews of the seller before I buy.

hopezibah1 · 31/12/2023 15:42

a general google search is a brilliant way to find where the product you need is cheapest especially if it is a specific product you are after - just type in the brand and product name. Then I check the delivery options as that can sometimes be a hidden cost that means that the best deal isn't always the best deal once delivery fee is factored in.

sheilads105 · 07/01/2024 16:06

Always use a cashback site.

CalmerChameleons · 11/01/2024 12:21

I love camel camel camel to show me if the price drop is genuine or if it's been that price often before, can help me see if I need to grab it now or can wait!

StickChildNumberTwo · 28/01/2024 19:37

Use cashback sites, Google for discount codes, check whether there's a discount for email newsletter sign up (and then unsubscribe when they get annoying)

Asuwere · 29/01/2024 12:21

I always search deal sites for offers or discount codes then use a cashback site. Sometimes leave something in a basket overnight i n case the company sends a discount.
