Christmas this year might be a little different. But one thing that will always stay the same is our desire to spoil those we love with thoughtful gifts, whether you’re far away from them or lucky enough to be able to spend the Christmas period together. With this in mind, Zalando would love to hear what you would most like to buy from their website for your nearest and dearest this Christmas, or if you would just like to treat yourself to something special.

Here’s what Zalando has to say: "This holiday season, we bring the world closer together by celebrating human connection. Nobody really understood the power of a simple embrace until it was taken from us. In this evocative campaign we embrace the past and look to the future, celebrating the hug as a universal symbol of human connection and celebrate it as a symbol of hope, optimism and solidarity. We will hug again."

Have you spotted some cosy loungewear on Zalando or the perfect sparkly dress to wear on Christmas Day? Maybe you would love to buy your family matching Christmas onesies? Have you found your ideal New Year’s Eve outfit or do you know someone who really deserves to be spoiled with a special Christmas gift this year? Or perhaps you have a relative who would adore some designer jewellery or a warm winter coat?

Have a browse of the Zalando site and tell us which products you would love to buy from Zalando for Christmas for your family (or for yourself) on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win the gifts mentioned in their comment, up to the value of £500.

Thanks and good luck!

Should have read the op more thoroughly.
If I win I'd be gutted to just get a scarf.
So- I'd buy Air Force 1s for the teen DDs, Sweaty Betty sportswear for me and new coats for us all. And a handbag.

flowerpower32 · 06/12/2020 22:19

Veja lock for me, plus SDU rec, am a bit of a trainer addict GrinSweaty Betty power workout leggings for my mum plus Nike Air Max for my sis. Plus a pair of mom jeans.Smile

AlgonquinBay · 07/12/2020 06:10

I would buy some Nike Airmax 270s for DS1 and DS2 https://www.zalando.co.uk/nike-sportswear-air-max-270-trainers-blackanthracitewhitesolar-red-ni112o00r-q11.html - the look on their face on Christmas morning would be priceless Xmas GrinXmas Grin

I would treat DH to a nice North Face gilet like this, https://www.zalando.co.uk/the-north-face-retro-nuptse-vest-unisex-waistcoat-clear-lake-blue-th321000a-k11.html to keep him cosy when he's out coaching his rugby team.

And finally these gorgeous hiking boots for myself for when I complete the Yorkshire 3-peaks challenge next May https://www.zalando.co.uk/adidas-performance-terrex-swift-r2-mid-gtx-shoes-hiking-shoes-black-ad541a1lr-q11.html

As money has been really tight this year - I will be new coats for us all this winter. Thanks for this fabulous promotion ! (I have never heard of this website before - so after furlough I will be back.

popsocks · 07/12/2020 14:10

Ooh I've never heard of Zalando before. Had a quick look but am off to work soon. So will be settling down with a cuppa afterwards to have a good browse through. I would love to treat myself to a pair of good winter boots but I would more than likely spend it all on the children.

TamingToddler · 07/12/2020 15:53

I'd never even heard of zolando before. I'd definitely get the whole family some new wellies. We're in desperate need of new ones but with covid things are tight, I'd love some new loungewear and for DP new pyjamas as he refuses to wead his after a recent hospital stay as no matter how much I wash them he says they still smell like the hospital Grin oh and new hat and scarf for my mum who religiously sticks to charity shops bless her.

purpleclaire · 07/12/2020 17:23

I'd get the UGG Classic II Boots - perfect for the freezing weather we've got now!

nellyburt · 07/12/2020 18:44

I'd buy the sandqvist Dante rucksack for my headteacher DH to take to work.

For DD I'd buy the Boss Luwia scarf so that she can keep warm in style.

For DS I'd buy a pair of Air Max because he loves to look good and can't keep still.

For me I'd buy the J Crew perfect raincoat and finally for my lovely mum I'd replace the ray bans the dog chewed!

hkswain · 07/12/2020 20:02

I'd first of all get my boyfriend some bits and pieces for when he's playing handball - a new set of shoes and a shirt and kit bag.

I'd then get my mum a lovely dress for Christmas day!

Finally, I'd consider a new handball for myself!

PetrovYelyenaAndMe · 07/12/2020 20:39

Great website!

Appleby grey fleece (daughter)
Converse white All Star trainers (also daughter)
Ugg classic short boots (other daughter - cold house)
Whitton beanie (husband)
Carlton gloves (stepfather)
Crossbody bag (me)
J Crew long sleeved top (also me!)

Christmas sorted Xmas Smile

Leeds2 · 07/12/2020 21:40

I love the children's Ralph Lauren t shirts and long sleeved tops with bears on the front.

scrivette · 07/12/2020 23:06

I think I would buy myself some Ugg mittens, a Barbour jacket for DH and the jellycat amusables for the DC.

Longlist · 08/12/2020 05:07

Some petite clothing - good to have lots of choice on one site

Rapunzel91 · 08/12/2020 13:04

I would love to get myself a new wintercoat as it's been 5 (!) years since I got myself one and it's falling to pieces. It needs to be really warm and snuggly!
Then in all honestly I'd probably spend the rest on my daughter. She's a year and a half and growing so much so always need new shoes and clothes. Now in the wintertime I focus on warmth (wool) and clothes that are waterproof. Practical and I know she won't be cold, especially when playing with her friends at nursery. That piece of mind is priceless!

Cliffdonville · 08/12/2020 14:02

This might make me the worst parent but we agreed not to do adult Christmas presents this year as it's a bit tight, and I really want a new coat and a bag. Would treat myself to a bag from the designer section, and a coat from Barbour.

MiniTheMinx · 08/12/2020 17:30

I hadn't heard of Zalando before. I'm really impressed. So many lovely things all in one place......I'm confused but I could spend a fortune. My DS aged 15 would like one of the Ted Baker belts, I like one of the bags, DS 19 would like the Paul Smith long sleeve black T-shirt with rabbit on. Maybe the Massimo Dutti classic black ankle boots for DH. This year has been a bit tough, so I'm window shopping ho hum. But I will definitely have another look at the website again.

CambsAlways · 08/12/2020 20:42

I haven’t bought myself anything for a long time, as I’ve always put my family first and still do can’t change a habit of a lifetime and as I have a wonderful family I’d like to treat them to a few bits, I get a lot of pleasure being able to buy small bits for family so this would be sooo good, I’d love some loungewear for three of my family as haven’t bought their Christmas presents yet due to fact I’m high risk shielding

louisethedisease · 08/12/2020 21:36

I would love to kit my family out with new winter jackets and boots

Ruddyfedup · 09/12/2020 00:07

I am in DESPERATE need of new clothes. I love a sweatshirt, the micky and friends one from the Levi collection 🖤

TaraRhu · 09/12/2020 07:35

I'm pregnant so I'd buy myself some nice maternity clothes. I'd treat myself to a nice dress for Xmas and a pair of Lk Bennett floret heels (I wore these on my wedding day but they later got Damaged- never been able to justify a replacement). I've worn nothing but comfy clothes this year and it would be nice to look glam fir one day!The next year will be tight financially on I'd all I'm so buy some clothes for my husband, son and baby.

Finally, I'd get matching pjs for the rest of my family. We won't be together this year due to COVID. But we will do pressies over zoom. If we all have the same pjs at least we might feel some sense of togetherness.

nitgel · 09/12/2020 07:38

My latest buy from zalando has been socks and t shirts from last season I have used a few times and check it when the main supplier has sold out of an item.

SillyMoomin · 09/12/2020 10:24

Ooooh just once; I’d want to be selfish and get something luxurious for me!

Maybe coach “posh bag”

Or oooh Barbour tote

Or red rucksack joy!
