Christmas this year might be a little different. But one thing that will always stay the same is our desire to spoil those we love with thoughtful gifts, whether you’re far away from them or lucky enough to be able to spend the Christmas period together. With this in mind, Zalando would love to hear what you would most like to buy from their website for your nearest and dearest this Christmas, or if you would just like to treat yourself to something special.

Here’s what Zalando has to say: "This holiday season, we bring the world closer together by celebrating human connection. Nobody really understood the power of a simple embrace until it was taken from us. In this evocative campaign we embrace the past and look to the future, celebrating the hug as a universal symbol of human connection and celebrate it as a symbol of hope, optimism and solidarity. We will hug again."

Have you spotted some cosy loungewear on Zalando or the perfect sparkly dress to wear on Christmas Day? Maybe you would love to buy your family matching Christmas onesies? Have you found your ideal New Year’s Eve outfit or do you know someone who really deserves to be spoiled with a special Christmas gift this year? Or perhaps you have a relative who would adore some designer jewellery or a warm winter coat?

Have a browse of the Zalando site and tell us which products you would love to buy from Zalando for Christmas for your family (or for yourself) on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win the gifts mentioned in their comment, up to the value of £500.

Thanks and good luck!

I'm trying to decide between the hollister winter coat or the Tommy Jeans essential hooded coat for myself. I'd also like the Valentino Summer Sea belt.

I'd get a pair on Hunter wellies for the whole family and also some Happy Socks for all of us.

Frugi Rainbow Sofia Dress for DD, Friboo dark blue boots with pony print.

I'd get DH some lousy living flamingo pyjamas.

There is so much to chose from, I'd get some dressing gowns for all of us too!

Stargirl84 · 04/12/2020 13:56

I’d get the kids some Friboo ankle boots for winter and some Cotton on short sleeved pyjamas for summer!
For my husband, a Ralph Lauren shirt for work and a Tommy Hilfiger blend zip jumper. And for me, I would love a new Espirit winter coat and some Tommy Hilfiger dungarees!
What a great competition!

Ratbagcatbag · 04/12/2020 16:18

The kate spade cross body bag for me. Or a Michael Kors one.
Matching pjs for me and my daughter.
And then new wellies for her (preferably joules) and some lovely new clothes for her. :)

StickChildNumberTwo · 04/12/2020 16:32

I'd get us all some new Doc Martens, preferably sparkly ones!

Kakiweewee · 04/12/2020 16:34

Black jeans and blue jeans for both my sons. Couple of Superdry hoodies. A bunch of decent t-shirts. And some decent boxers.

Avocado bag for my youngest son.

Running trainers for me. Maybe a decent jacket for running/hiking. UGGS if I could afford them.

sheilads105 · 04/12/2020 16:52

I would treat my son & daughters to new running & exercise gear:
SWEATY BETTY Power Workout leggings in black
Under ArmourSTREAKER SHORTSLEEVE - Sports shirt
Under ArmourRUN ANYWHERE STORM - Sports jacket
Sweaty Betty RUN GLOVES - Gloves

Fabulous.

MrsFrTedCrilly · 04/12/2020 17:18

I’d love to get lovely lined winter walking boots for the family. Something to keep our toes warm!

like7 · 04/12/2020 18:08

I get my sons clothes from here, particularly his hoodies. Sometimes add something for me! I would buy a nice new smart outfit for going to restaurants.etc Just had a look - lots to choose from!

So exciting - I absolutely love Zalando! They have some amazing brands you can't find in high street stores. And good customer service too.
Anyway, browsing from their website I think I'd like to treat everyone with a little something. Here's my list:
For my mum who I know is always on the hunt for a chic and warm cardigan, this Patrizia Pepe long cardigan in black: www.zalando.co.uk/patrizia-pepe-maglia-cardigan-nero-p1421i05k-q11.html.
For my sister with the fancy new job, I think this laptop bag would do well: www.zalando.co.uk/maison-hroine-jamie-laptop-bag-khaki-m5b51h01a-n11.html.
For my DH and his wicked sense of humour, this sweatshirt www.zalando.co.uk/ps-paul-smith-mens-space-monkey-sweatshirt-navy-ps722s021-k11.html.
And for me, I'd love to treat myself with a Liebeskind backpack. Had one before and only stopped wearing it cause it started falling apart: www.zalando.co.uk/liebeskind-berlin-rucksack-dark-chocolate-li351q01n-o11.html and I'll throw in this lovely winter hat too www.zalando.co.uk/twinset-beanie-grigio-melange-tw351b00b-c11.html

Right, now off to write to Santa! Grin

HeyMicky · 04/12/2020 19:35

Dog walking clothes for everyone, for the new puppy! Waterproof hats, thermals, wellies, rain jackets and waterproof trousers, cozy socks.

BigGreen · 05/12/2020 07:00

Wow, definitely the Gestuz Palms velvet jumpsuit. It looks super chic.

purplepandas · 05/12/2020 07:08

I so need a new coat. I love long coats in anything but very dark colours ( winter is dismal enough,). Would be amazing, all I have done for months is but gifts for others as constant birthdays and now Christmas.

FrolickingLemon · 05/12/2020 07:45

Lovely (and bargainous) snow boots for me, ugg slippers for my Mum and a Puma hoodie for DD.

I've had a lovely browse. Felt very indulgent. Have signed up on the mailing list, so I'm going to get the boots. 10% off and free delivery. Thank you ❤ and Merry Christmas 🌲☃️

We would love to get my husband some new headphones the - CLAM ANC WIRELESS OVER EAR HEADPHONES - Headphones are pretty cool and I know the kids would use them too. I would love some new sports kit so that I can work out at home YOGA MAT POSITION 4MM, foam roller, flex band, yoga block and some new workout gear would be fantastic. The kids have been great despite a challenging year so for them they both need new backpacks for school something bright and fun, new gloves and hats as it gets colder and a warm winter coat.

janney3 · 05/12/2020 08:36

I would love to buy.
Helly Hanson men's coastal winter coat.
Sweaty Betty power sculpt leggings
The North Face ladies Liberty wood not rain jacket
Swatch polawhite watch
Great website that I had never heard of thanks.

TheEndisCummings · 05/12/2020 09:06

Something for everyone there. I'd go for DD www.zalando.co.uk/herschel-settlement-rucksack-h1554h001-q11.html. Need a decent rucksack for the mass of books she carries to school. For DS T-shirt's, colourful ones. It is all he wears. DP literally has rips and holes all over the only pair he wears. His present is obvious.

SciFiFan · 05/12/2020 09:16

If I was treating myself I’d head straight to the designer bags Xmas Wink

DonLewis · 05/12/2020 09:24

Oooh, never heard of this website. Had a good browse. I'd love to but mu husband some ugg slippers for his office (which is at the bottom of the garden, hence needing some cozy slippers!).

Off to browse some more!

claza93 · 05/12/2020 12:49

Sweaty betty workout gear for me! There stuff is amazing
A north face coat for my daughter
A polar running watch - again for me haha!

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/12/2020 17:52

Loving the sustainability items, in particular this scarf.
scarf

wellingtonsandwaffles · 05/12/2020 23:00

Seeing as I never go out with people these days, my lounge and sports wear needs a serious upgrade! It’s what I spend my days wearing, with an obligatory work top over the top for calls. But I’d love to have something luxurious but comfy, not just my current a slobbish and comfy!

jitterbugintomybrain · 05/12/2020 23:51

Running shoes, pyjamas and slippers - it's going to be a long winter.

PickledChicory · 06/12/2020 00:46

Wow! I had never heard of Zalando, some great brands and I have enjoyed browsing. I would buy the DC some name it snow suits and primigi boots so we could enjoy the wet cold weather. I would buy DD2 a jelly cat bunny, DS a skip hop backpack and Dd1 new nike trainers. I would treat myself to some anna field boots and a new nike running top.

I've got my eye on a long faux fur coat for a lovely treat for myself and I'd treat my adult DC to some cosy lounge wear. I love Zalando Smile

BellaVida · 06/12/2020 11:57

Never been to the Zalando web site before, but I’m impressed: you can filter items by sustainability! Why aren’t more shops doing this? Also brilliant to be able to filter by material (if you don’t want leather like me). Nice to see a natural range of models being used.
So, onto my list.

  • Me- I have a dog walking coat and that’s it, so I would get this festive red padded jacket for tall people (again, brilliant) in a large so I can fit a chunky jumper underneath and a pair of red boots to match.

www.zalando.co.uk/only-tall-onlcamilla-quilted-jacket-classic-coat-rhubarb-ond21u026-g11.html
www.zalando.co.uk/jana-ankle-boots-fire-ja311n03y-g11.html?size=7

DS1 & DS2- both of them borrow an old North Face fleece I’ve had for about 20 years, so I would get them one each of their own. This one is made from 20% recycled polyester. A medium and large would give them a bit of growing room.
www.zalando.co.uk/the-north-face-glacier-fleece-th342g01c-q11.html

DD1- has seen these ‘teddy bear’ jackets and would love this one in a 10-11.

www.zalando.co.uk/new-look-915-generation-puffer-borg-light-jacket-dark-grey-nl623l024-q11.html

DD2- has asked for a hoodie for Xmas and would never ask for brands as they’re usually so expensive. She would love this Hollister hoodie. Helpfully, the guide recommends o size up, so I would get a medium.
www.zalando.co.uk/hollister-co-sweatshirt-grey-h0421j036-c11.html

DH- is into running and needs a pair of 2 in 1 shorts, so these Under Armour ones in a large would be perfect. His long sleeve running top has a seam which chafes on his chest, so I would get him a seamless one too in a large.
www.zalando.co.uk/under-armour-launch-2-in-1-short-sports-shorts-black-un242e0hy-q11.html
www.zalando.co.uk/endurance-kelula-seamless-midlayer-long-sleeved-top-black-end42g00b-q11.html

That comes to £370 which is pretty good, especially as it includes some top end branded clothes.

I’ve already bought my extended family gifts, but if it were okay, I would spend the rest buying each of my family a sustainable snuggly warm scarf or snood to hug them even though we can’t. So, 4 scarves and 4 snoods would cover parents and nephews.

www.zalando.co.uk/zign-scarf-grey-zi154g004-c11.html
www.zalando.co.uk/buff-original-snood-solid-night-blue-b4344e02z-k11.html

Right, now I’ve discovered it, I’m off to browse a bit more!
