NOW CLOSED

With a chill in the air and sunny days few and far between, it’s the perfect time of year to snuggle up inside and watch TV with the family. Disney Junior would like to know what TV programmes you watch with your children and which characters you used to love from your childhood favourites.

Here’s what Disney Junior has to say: “Disney Junior invites kids into a magical world of fun & imagination. Your little ones can join in the adventure with their favourite friends Vampirina, The Lion Guard, PJ Masks, Mickey & The Roadster Racers and Muppet Babies every weekday from 3pm.”

So, is your family a fan of funny animated shows? Perhaps adventure programmes keep everyone entertained? Do you like seeing characters that you loved as a child reimagined for your children?

Please share your favourite family TV programmes below and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 voucher of your choice (from a list).

Thanks

TheWashingMachine · 21/02/2019 21:52

Theorangeorange · 21/02/2019 21:56

Disney films (on DisneyLife)

Sofia the first
Elenor of Avalor
Vamperina

I think I enjoy them as much as her and will sometimes finish an episode alone 😂

We watch a lot (ugh) of Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig. Sometimes dabble in PJ Masks - but we all enjoy Disney movies, the faves are Frozen, Moana, Snow White and Cinderella.

AsIfIWish · 21/02/2019 22:16

Our kids are currently watching The Mysterious Cities of Gold! (1982 onwards.)

Re-imagined TV shows go down well in our house. And if none exists, we often end up with DVDs of the original Grin

My 4-yr-old and I love to watch Horrible Histories together - I don’t know how much of it he actually gets but he finds it amusing, and I think it’s so clever.

When I was a kid I loved Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock... I sometimes put YouTube clips of them on for my son. As I got older I watched As Told By Ginger and The Wild Thornberrys.

More films than series like how to train your dragon and Lego movie.

QueenOfPharts · 21/02/2019 23:46

We recently tried Disney life and my DD loved Sophia the first . We have also enjoyed watching classic Disney films. DD also loves Spirit and horrid henry though thankfully these change frequently. My DS is mad into peppa pig, bing and postman pat.

Enigma222 · 21/02/2019 23:54

All my kids (4 children under the age of 7) love watching Mickey & The Roadster Racer. We tend to sit down together to watch it as a family

NeverTwerkNaked · 21/02/2019 23:59

I have enjoyed watching the diary of a wimpy kid films with my son. And he loves watching Star Wars with his step dad. With 6 of us in the family it can be hard to find stuff everyone actually agrees on, but safe favourites and the Minions movies, Ice Age movies and the Lego movies and Trolls.

kateandme · 22/02/2019 04:10

still love the old Disney films.
love looking up the kids shows we had when we were younger on youtube.
a lot of it is such pristine animaotion now.but they loved the authentic cartoons we used to watch too.

FlowerTink · 22/02/2019 07:04

My DD LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mickey & the Roadster Racers , shes a huge Minnie Mouse fan!

We've started watching old Disney films like Mulan and it's lovely to see her enjoy something I watched at that age

Alltheprettyseahorses · 22/02/2019 07:09

Tangled Ever After. More please!

HattiesPincushion · 22/02/2019 07:23

Current favourites in my house are Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly, Thomas the Tank Engine and Noddy.

Penhaligon · 22/02/2019 08:46

We watch PJ Masks, Mickey and the Roadster Racers and the Lion Guard.
Peppa Pig is still a firm favourite despite being nearly 5.
We've also loved watching films lately such as the Incredibles, Tangled and Frozen- we pull the curtains and have popcorn.
We really enjoy shows that have lots of humour!

Figmentofimagination · 22/02/2019 09:59

My son loves Puppy Dog Pals, Doc McStuffins and Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
He also loves watching and singing along to Moana. Thank god for DisneyLife.

DaisyDando · 22/02/2019 10:08

PJ Masks has the catchiest theme tune ever and I like the fact that they are cool girl and boy superheroes. I don’t mind Muppet Babies because, well, MUPPETS!

Nquartz · 22/02/2019 11:02

DD is currently watching all My Little Pony on Netflix, but she also likes watching PJ Masks, The Imagineers, nature programmes and the odd film.

sarat1 · 22/02/2019 12:31

Only 16 months old so we just have a little bit of babytv while I make breakfast or if I have to pop to the loo, but he seems to enjoy the songs and brrm brrm-ing at the vehicles.

Pascha · 22/02/2019 13:08

Honestly, mine tend to watch all kinds of motorsports on YouTube, or Minecraft videos. Actual telly is occasionally Octonauts , Andy's dinosaur/safari/prehistoric adventures, or iPlayer docs about animals or trains.

Pascha · 22/02/2019 13:09

Also explorer stuff like Steve Backshall climbing and canoeing in dangerous places.

voyager50 · 22/02/2019 14:17

I'm afraid children's tv really annoys me now so I tend to avoid it! I used to love Button Moon and Bagpuss when I was little though and I have the DVD of the complete Bagpuss!

Lovetocycle · 22/02/2019 15:06

My 2 year old loves In the Night Garden - so do I to be honest. It reminds me of the Magic Roundabout! He also likes Fireman Sam - as does his dad.

Theimpossiblegirl · 22/02/2019 17:44

Our favourite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. We have loved the recent remakes of old classics and are looking forward to seeing Dumbo, The Lion King and Aladdin come to life.
