Great family films are often passed down through generations and not only do the films themselves bring great memories but also the memorable characters. Coming together to watch a film as a family can be a great way to spend time with your loved ones. Prime Video would love to know what your family films are and why?

Here’s what Prime Video have to say: “The smash hit family film Paddington 2 has just been added to Prime Video, joining thousands of great movies and TV shows the whole family can enjoy. Paddington 2 sees the loveable bear settled into life with the Brown Family and starting to do some odd jobs so he can buy Aunt Lucie a birthday present. Before he can get it, the gift is stolen by a master thief and Paddington is the suspect.”

“To celebrate, we want to hear what classics you watch with your kids. Prime Video has many to enjoy including Yogi Bear, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Gruffalo, Casper, The Wizard of Oz, Nanny McPhee, E.T, Beethoven, Tom and Jerry, Pingu, Thomas and Friends, Scooby-Doo, Kung-Fu Panda and Shaun The Sheep.”

What do you enjoy watching with your whole family? Do you go for the classic such as ET and The Wizard of Oz or do you prefer the new films such as Kung Fu Panda? Or maybe your family has a staple film that you all watch on special occasions?

Whatever your favourite films are to watch as a family, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

  1. Happy Feet, we watched this on prime countless of times but now that it was taken off (prime) we had to buy it to keep watching it lol
  2. Spirit - stallion of the cimarron, this is my favourite 😁
  3. The Snowman, Christmas film that we watch every year. I used to watch it as a child every Christmas and I still do now with my own children

Anything by Studio Ghibli.

Tatiebee · 18/07/2018 22:57

We don't often get a chance to watch movies as a family but of those we have watched our favourite is probably Aladdin, we love the songs and my boys think the genie is brilliant.

The greatest showman
Gnome & Juliet
Frozen
Charlie and the chocolate factory
Lion king

Tefiti2 · 19/07/2018 09:55

Shrek always goes down well here! We also love Rio and Trollz. I find the movies on Prime a bit lack lustre but the TV shows are great.

NauticalDisaster · 19/07/2018 09:58

We rewatched Finding Nemo and Frozen the other week, both new classics for us.

LemonBreeland · 19/07/2018 10:33

My DC are from teenager down to 7 years old. Films we have all enjoyed are:

The Incdreibles
Despicable Me
Toy Story (all of them)
Older films, Star Wars and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are favourites

CityFarmer · 19/07/2018 12:18

Despicable me and minions movies - really laugh out funny for the kids and a few jokes that only the adults will get but without being rude ones! Eg joke about bedtimes being annoying for parents :)

Twowheelscooter · 19/07/2018 12:38

Moana, Lego movie, Paddington, Winnie the Pooh

MistyReturns · 19/07/2018 12:47

Paddington was a huge hit here.
Back to the future was a surprise hit with 2 out of 3 daughters.
The harry potters go down well with everyone except DH. Frozen is loved by everyone (including DH Grin). Mary Poppins is always a good bet too.
I’ve tried to get them to love Labyrinth, Goonies, Princess Bride & Karate Kids... no success so far, but I’m persisting!!

MistyReturns · 19/07/2018 12:49

Oh and Big Hero 6 (Although the 7 yr old cries every time at Baymax’s “sacrifice”) she still watches it though - just edges closer to me as the scene comes closer Grin
