This activity is now closed

With the summer holidays fast approaching, it’s almost time to spend some much needed quality time with the whole family and for some this means jetting off on holiday. However keeping your DC entertained whilst on holiday can be a bit of struggle especially if your DC has an unlimited amount of energy! Neilson would love you to take a look on their website and choose your favourite holiday activity from their collection, as well as sharing your staple holiday activities.

Here’s what Neilson have to say: “Neilson was born from a passion for all things active, our award-winning beachclub holidays in Croatia, Greece, Italy and Sardinia are packed to the rafters with inclusive activities, from windsurfing to wakeboarding, tennis to mountain biking – all with qualified instructors and free tuition thrown in. We have inclusive kids clubs for all ages from two, right up to 17 years old with activities including kayaking, sailing, tennis and stand up paddle boarding! There’s even a crèche for our youngest guests.”

Which activities would your family love to try and why? Have a look on their website here and let us know on the thread below.

We’d also love to know what your go-to family holiday activities are? Perhaps your family love anything water based such as sailing, kayaking or swimming? Maybe you’re more of a biker family and often hire out bikes for the day to explore or maybe you’re more adventurous and go off-road mountain biking? Or does your family enjoy relaxing on the beach, building sandcastles and soaking up the sun on a lounger?

Tell us which Neilson holiday activities you love the look of, as well as what your go-to family holiday activity is and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

Swimming, tennis, snorkelling, jet-skis. In between, plenty of eating, drinking and relaxing. Smile

Having looked at the Nielsen website this is definitely a holiday we would consider in the future. DS would love to try sailing, paddle-boarding and kayaking.

Me and my son love swimming, hes 6 years old but, hes already a really keen swimmer, kayaking has always been a great hobby of mine

llynnnn · 02/07/2018 11:06

As my dd's are getting older they're also getting more adventurous. In the past we've always enjoyed walking, biking and swimming.

From the website we'd like to try paddleboarding, rock climbing, dingy sailing. I'm sure we'd all enjoy giving these a go

danigrace · 02/07/2018 16:59

Swimming, watersports like kayaking, sightseeing boats

Mummymummums · 02/07/2018 18:30

Mountain biking is our regular activity as a family, and would love to do it abroad without the hassle of bringing our own bikes!
Also sea swimming would appeal - I've done open water myself but would like to get the children started if they're old enough (10 and 11) in a safe controlled way.

Fumnudge · 02/07/2018 19:42

We're going to make it cycling! My eldest still can't manage it without stabilizers so this is her year (I really hope)

DyslexicsAreCool · 02/07/2018 20:40

Sea kayaking and sailing 😊

Lindy2 · 02/07/2018 23:12

Time on the beach - swimming and rock pooling, walking andceatingboutcasca family.
From your activities paddleboarding looks fun.

Lindy2 · 02/07/2018 23:14

StealthToddler · 02/07/2018 23:36

Tennis, watersports (paddle boarding, dinghy sailing, kayaking).....

weasel6 · 03/07/2018 02:29

I love windsurfing and would like to try kite surfing. I think the kids would go for kayaking.

NauticalDisaster · 03/07/2018 06:33

I love kayaking and can’t wait untl my sons learn how to do it!

We also love bike riding but preger the flat terrain 😆

MummyBtothree · 03/07/2018 12:34

Swimming here!

bibolda · 03/07/2018 17:08

We love to go to city breaks and have a look around, eat and do some shopping, buy something for our daughter and take her to play somewhere.

biffyboom · 03/07/2018 18:11

We took our 4yr old abroad for the first time earlier this year.
He would say the play area and kids club, which we ended up at everyday.
I asked everyday to do the family mountain cycling trek, but he just wanted the play area. Maybe next time!

Winningbeauty · 03/07/2018 21:55

CYcling and sharing all meals together!! Time to relax as a family

SistersOfPercy · 05/07/2018 15:07

LOVE a good walk! Not sure the kids felt the same when I had them walking up Lombard Street to Russian Hill in San Francisco last month.
Not sure they enjoyed the rather bracing walk across the Golden Gate Bridge either but their faces in the photos are priceless!

Hopezibah · 07/07/2018 23:33

Swimming is an absolute must for our holidays. In addition we all enjoy tennis too. its also great to have new options available that we haven't tried before so would be keen to try windsurfing. Kayaks are another family favourite!

PorridgeAgainAbney · 09/07/2018 08:55

I love the look of the dinghy sailing as we live near the beach so it would be nice to learn something that we could carry on trying once we got home.

Generally our favourite activities are ones that keep us all happy, so a long bike ride (for us) with a beach or park at the halfway point (for DS); or a long train ride (for DH DS) with a museum or country house in the middle.

I love the look of the skiing and water-sports breaks, though am a bit nervous about the idea of taking my two year old to the slopes!!

At present we go for anywhere near water and wine - combining our love of vineyards and the grape with boats, lake swimming in Como/ sea swimming anywhere, and an occasional spot of jet skiing!

Yay!!
