I would pick the ice rink. Love ice skating!

DH would pick the zip lines.

Dd age 7 would probably pick reading in the library (book mad).

Dd6 would go for the water slides. She loves water and speeding through it!

thesnailandthewhale · 23/09/2017 22:49

We have booked out first cruise (with RC) for next year. Ds (15) has learning difficulties so I am intrigued as to what he will do - he says he is most looking forward to the ziplines and the xbox games, he would like the surf simulator but only if no-one else can watch him Grin

I am looking forward to all of it. It's our first proper holiday for years and I am counting down the days already!

AnnaPenney · 24/09/2017 06:32

Myself and hubby and my 3 year old all love the sky diving. Hubby and I did it 2 years ago and then the little on wanted ago when we were back on last year.

She would also dearly love to go on the dodgems, the rising pod thing, the play centre in the pool but height or age restricted her (and the ice skating queue was just too long to bother with).

Generally the kids love the kids club, outdoor cinema, Jonny rockets (when they actual remember to dance - not done it the last twice we've been), the whirlpool, heated pools, hot tubs. They love trying new things at now 3 and 5.

Hubby would love a new ship to be permanently based in the U.K. with indoor pools (or hotter heated outdoor pool). We are bored of Indy and don't want to fly with young kids for the newer ships.

giddyypixie · 24/09/2017 08:09

If it was up to me, we would literally do all of them so that we could experience as much as possible and to be honest, get our monies worth! If it was up to my DC (age 12) he would literally love in the Xbox games room.

ElizaDontlittle · 24/09/2017 10:52

I'd love to try the skydiving (if you can do it as a disabled person) and the spa - one extreme to the other.

My godchild (as I don't have a child of my own) is a 4yo boy and he would love all the water activities and the DreamWorks experience.

daisydaisy1975 · 24/09/2017 11:20

My kids are very into reading so they would go for it for sure.

Nowwhatisit · 24/09/2017 19:54

7 yo girl would go for roller disco, Circus school, dance...
11 yo boy laser tag, zip wire, surfing
13 yo boy escape room, sky diving
DH would sit in the sauna
I think they would try these things as a novelty but what the whole family would come back to repeatedly would be pool/waterpark/slides

Summerdays2014 · 24/09/2017 20:11

Roller disco! Used to love them when I was growing up!

sarah861421 · 24/09/2017 20:24

I didnt realise that there was so much. Dont care about the children but I wnt to do the climbing, the zipwire, and the escape room on the first day and then we will see

sandy31 · 24/09/2017 21:16

I would do the Swimming & Learn to Dance
Hubby would do the Climbing Wall
DD would do Circus
Although would probably try a lot more.

ASDismynormality · 24/09/2017 21:28

Swimming and water park, it's all we need!

MrsFig · 24/09/2017 21:52

I would pick swimming as I find it very relaxing.
DH would pick basket ball as he used to love to play but doesn't have much time to do so any more.
DD is only 7 months old but I would pick Adventure Ocean® kids to keep her entertained on board.

mishknight · 24/09/2017 21:54

mini golf is our family's holiday tradition so that would be a must

thesoupdragon44 · 25/09/2017 07:48

I love a bit of mini golf, and my son hates it when I beat him. I think he would choose the x box room, and all the sports but can also see him giving the indoor skydiving a go as he is an adventurous sort!

ILikeThatSong123 · 25/09/2017 09:52

Dd age 12: DreamWorks Experience, indoor sky diving, surf simulator, rock wall, learn to dance, waterslides, waterpark, zip wire, xbox games.

Us: Escape room, surf simulator, library.

One cruise holiday not enough to do all, we need more than one holiday...

ILikeThatSong123 · 25/09/2017 09:57

To add, we would try all these because they are either tried and tested as enjoyable activities or they are novelty activities and they are there, on offer.
What else can you do wit child/ren in the middle of the open sea/ocean in a ship?

NerrSnerr · 25/09/2017 11:21

We'd love the swimming. My daughter would swim all day if given the chance.

dazzlingdeborahrose · 25/09/2017 15:52

The climbing wall is always a firm favourite with my 12 year old. Being a bit of a daredevil she'd love all of the slides (she'd love the abyss - I'd hate it 😱)

As a family, we all love the mini golf and the outdoor cinema.

MrsGotobed · 25/09/2017 16:15

Flow Rider Surf Simulator, water slides and whirlpools (so basically all the water based activities) would appeal to us all, adults and children alike.

The DC (17 and 13) would also like the climbing wall and ice rink.

13yo DS would also like the Xbox games for times when he's physically worn out but still wants entertaining, DD would prefer the cinema.

I have to say I had no idea so many activities were available on a cruise!

WelshMumof1 · 25/09/2017 17:47

Everything water based for my family! Swimming, whirpools, slides, waterparks. My lot are like ducks!

Sleepysausage · 25/09/2017 17:57

Wow! So much choice.
I'd love to go to a roller disco and revist my youth!
My husband loves the cinema. So he'd definitely choose that.
Dd loves swimming and will spend hours on holiday just playing in a pool so she'd choose Splashway Bay for sure!
It looks incredible, I wasn't aware there was so much choice on a cruise.

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 25/09/2017 19:20

I'd go for the ice rink as not done ice skating for years. My imaginary DP would obviously choose to ice skate with me, because, you know, he's just nice like that. DS would definitely go for the dodgems.

honeyandginger48 · 25/09/2017 19:27

I've got teenagers so we'd love to try:
The escape room and laser tag.

chewiecat · 25/09/2017 19:51

We would definitely choose to do the adventure club for babies and toddlers! We have just been away on a holiday but both find it really hard work with no childcare. So it will be fantastic to have a crèche that could occupy him for a couple of hours at least Wink

CherriesInTheSnow · 25/09/2017 20:33

I can't imagine how cool and different it would be to have an ice rink on a cruise ship!
Would definitely love to give that a go Grin
