slpashaway bay - my kids always love the waterparks, they are like little mermaids!

RedheadinCamelFlarge · 22/09/2017 12:42

For me - peace and quiet = reading in the library
For my husband - the surf simulator
For my 4yo - club, dodgems, cinema, mini golf and the water park
For my 20mo - the rock wall. Yes, really!
For all of us - a bit of a dance and disco :)

Firewall · 22/09/2017 13:41

My kids under 7 would love the water activities and the rock climb. The escape room sounds fun too.

Maiyakat · 22/09/2017 14:42

DD (5) would love the dodgems, zip line and kids' waterpark. I've always wanted to do an escape room so would be signing up for that!

GrouchingTiggerHiddenSomething · 22/09/2017 15:23

As it's our 20th Wedding Anniversary next year I've been wondering about a special family holiday. We went on a couple of cruises before we had children and really enjoyed them. These days they cater so well for families. My children (will be 12 and 9 next summer) would both love the water park and water slides. Mini Golf, laser tag and cinema sound brilliant for everyone. My DH would choose the climbing wall, he loves climbing and is trying to get DD into it so she'd probably join him. DS and I would love to do the Escape Room. Everything sounds great - I'm off to browse for next summer :)

Wow! Great list.

We have a three-year-old so would want to do things all three of us together or my husband and I would do things on our own while the other stayed with the child. Mostly we would want to be together. We would choose:

~ Circus School - me
~ Escape Room - all three if kids allowed
~ FlowRider® Surf Simulator - me and child if kids allowed (husband wouldn't be interested)
~ Ice Rink - all three of us
~ Indoor Sky Diving - me
~ Laser Tag - coming in 2018 - all three if kids allowed
~ Learn to Dance - all three
~ Mini Golf - my husband would enjoy this
~ Reading in the Library - all three
~ Rock Wall - me and son (my husband wouldn't be interested)
~ Roller Disco - all three of us
~ Splashaway Bay - Kids’ Waterpark - all three if we could go in with him
~ Swimming - all three of us
~ Teen Disco
~ The Perfect Storm Waterslides - me!
~ Ultimate Abyss - Tallest Slide at Sea - me!
~ Zip Lines - me!

elizaco · 22/09/2017 17:45

My husband and I would choose the cinema. My daughters would choose the waterslides. As a family we'd like to try out the Escape Room - we've not done one of those before.

Carriecakes80 · 22/09/2017 18:01

If we were ever lucky enough to take our kids on a trip like this, the first place we would head to is the Splashaway Bay - Kids’ Waterpark!! It would be the most awesome thing to see my kids enjoying a swim on the trip of a lifetime!!x

I'd like zip wire, learn to dance and skydiving. They all sound fun. The kids (17+) all fancy skydiving,; also whirlpool, cinema and zipwire.
DH would probably like library!! We'd enjoy mini golf as a family.

Totalshambles · 22/09/2017 19:04

We absolutely loved the pools - and looking forward to next year's hol and doing it all again. Also loved the shows - really great and also the rock climbing!! I loved the zip line but the kids were too small. In terms of the new stuff, We love the sound of waterslides and the big slide.

defineme · 22/09/2017 19:22

I have always dreamed of trying indoor skydiving, so that would be top of the list for me and my family !

starlight36 · 22/09/2017 19:27

The dodgems, ice rink and swimming pool for all of us.
DD would probably love the dance school - assuming it is for children and DS would love to be let loose on the rock wall.
I genuinely wax impressed by the variety of activities on offer.

sweir1 · 22/09/2017 20:07

Definitely the zip slide or waters slides

MrsBettany · 22/09/2017 20:50

DH and I love the library and the escape rooms (we've done Anthem's and Harmony's) plus DH loved the zip line. As a family we do mini-golf everywhere we go!

Kids have done P&O and are going on RCI for the first time next year (Independence). DS can't wait for laser tag and water slides. DD wants the trampolines and kids club.

AtSea1979 · 22/09/2017 20:51

My kids are 8 and 12 they'd love the learn to dance, cinema and laser tag

HannahLI · 22/09/2017 21:32

Wow what a choice. My kids are 5 and 7 and there top choice would be lazertag - its something one of them has done before and they really enjoyed it! Second would be the waterpark or the water slides - again they love being active and swimming is something I can see the whole family enjoying! Then they would need some chill out time with an xbox for my minecraft obsessive!

Pipstarz41 · 22/09/2017 21:40

I never knew there was so much to do on a cruise ship! This has made me think differently about a cruise (I've never been on one).

I would most enjoy learning to dance some 'Strictly' style ballroom and latin numbers, and the indoor sky diving!

My partner would enjoy the sports and the rock wall.

My eldest daughter (age 3) would love the waterpark and waterslides (if she is tall enough!), and mini golf. Teaching her to roller-skate would be fun too!

My youngest is a little young for most activities (she's 9 months), so mainly swimming for her! Smile

HalimaB · 22/09/2017 21:48

I, DP and children (aged 5,3 and 1) would love to do all of them activities sounds great!!!

buckley1983 · 22/09/2017 22:41

We'd love a go in the Escape Rooms - nothing like having to work together as a team to pull a family together & stop any bickering... fingers crossed anyway!
Once we'd cracked our way out the Escape Rooms - we'd head over for a trip down the zip wire to celebrate!

nerysw · 23/09/2017 12:02

We'd all enjoy the dodgems and mini golf (always fun as we're so monumentally rubbish at it!).
I think me and the husband would like a go at the escape room and my daughter (8) would love the ice rink and roller disco. My son (6) would really enjoy the Xbox games and the waterpark.

daniel1996 · 23/09/2017 12:31

I would pick ~ Learn to Dance, I have two left feet and would love to learn to dance, and when I am relaxed on holiday it would be the perfect time to learn, I went through the list with my DP and he picked ~ FlowRider® Surf Simulator which I think he would be really good at, it would be a unique experience, and looks like great fun, something you would not probably get to take part in anywhere else.

GhostsToMonsoon · 23/09/2017 13:45

Children (6 and 4) would love anything water-related and the cinema. DH would probably like to park them in kids' club to have a rest and I'd like the library and the pool.

Lizard202 · 23/09/2017 16:19

I'd love to do escape room, DH would prefer the mini golf and the kids would probably end up on the surf simulator or water park (I'd be in with them given half a chance ;)

choccyp1g · 23/09/2017 19:43

DS (16) would go for football, basketball. He'd be happy with a mix of ages, so long as there were some other teens.

As for me, as little activity as possible. Good coffee, cakes and Mumsnet and I'm happy.

clopper · 23/09/2017 21:01

Me: swimming ice rink library and escape room
DH: swimming mini golf and dodgems
DD: teen disco water park and water slides

However, they all sound good and it's hard to choose.
