We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

I love Lidl natural fat free yoghurt! We eat So much in my house I'm glad I found this one because it tastes lovely, is thick and creamy and comes in great value large tubs

ipanda · 18/09/2017 22:52

Check their website for pick of the week offers. I've found some of their non-food offers pretty good too.

buckeejit · 18/09/2017 23:03

I love the hot smoked salmon-a batch of couscous in the fridge & one of these with salad & voila, super fast meal, yeow!

Hopezibah · 18/09/2017 23:31

i'm always pleased to find good value fruit and veg in lidl - i especially love the more unusual items like baby cucumbers and any weird and exotic fruits!

tishist · 18/09/2017 23:48

Their tins of tuna are MSC certified and are so cheap compared to other brand's sustainable tuna which is nearly twice the price!

Kateallison16 · 19/09/2017 00:18

I found lidl London Gin to be identical an on par with the leading brands. Crisp, dry and full of flavour.
The packaging is great too. Makes entertaining at Christmas a much cheaper affair and everyone enjoys the spirits!

just5morepeas · 19/09/2017 00:25

Their little Stollen Bites that you can get before Christmas, are to die for. They rarely last till the day, and that's with hiding an extra box from myself.

The Deluxe Chunky Oven Chips. Out of this world
Jaffa cakes that are much more Jaffa-y and chocolately than the originals
Sicilian lemon frozen cheesecake
Salt and pepper deluxe crisps
All the fresh vegetables
And Stickeez!!

purplewaterbottle · 19/09/2017 14:37

The polish dumplings in the freezer section are amazing!

Shiraznowplease · 19/09/2017 17:56

I love their cleaning products, kitchen roll and toilet roll. My children love coming with me when I go to get the delicious bakery items (they especially love the muffins and cookies). We also love their frozen yorkshires and their smoked salmon is the best

FlandersRocks · 19/09/2017 18:46

I love their bag of frozen paella. It's such a quick and healthy meal and it's so tasty...it's the easiest thing to cook if I need a super quick meal for the kids.

Humphreyhippo · 19/09/2017 20:52

Sometimes they have frozen sea bream in a pack of two - fantastic value at £3.99.
Smoked salmon - particularly bargainous this week at £1.49
Jarred olives 59p
Free range whole chickens
Black Forest ham
DH swears by the Nespresso looky-likey capsules for his coffee machine.
Best bargain this week was a huge aster plant covered in purple flowers for £3.99. I love Lidl.

The big bags of walnut halves, the potato salad, all of the tinned fish is great and so much cheaper than else where.

Actually the big tub of potato salad from the fridge made with crème fraiche is not a good thing at all. It is very very bad as I find it hard to stop...
Someone else's post has just reminded me how rich and yummy the hazelnut chocolate is - it has LOADS of hazelnut in it - I haven't bought it for ages. deliberately. Glad the shops are now closed or I'd be tempted to go round there.

dd picked up herbal teas recently - they are made up very fancy - like tea pigs - she seems happy with them. I don't know if they were a special or if they always sell them but they were a definite hit.

Jamhandprints · 19/09/2017 23:14

Love the green packet whole nut chocolate too much, the bakery, the special offers, the gingerbread kuchen at Christmas. My kids love the stickeez. I hate them! But I love Lidl. It's cheap prices mean we can buy what we need and treats and not have to scrimp too much.

I LOVE lidls!
I do my regular shop at Lidls.
My partner absolutely loves the Honey Peanut crunch granola for breakfast! It's the only breakfast he has.

Lidls won my heart when they introduced the Scottish shortbread cookies!! I originally spent a fortune in M&S for these but Lidls sell them for £1 and they are tastier!!!

And don't get me started on the crisps 😍

Hello lidl! Wanted to thank you for the Heidi's Collection. Bought three dresses and happy with what I got. You can make the fabric a bit better but they are very good value for money even without that. Thanks!

DoJo · 20/09/2017 07:56

French week French Cider - so delicious that last time we went during French week we ended up buying several cases of it and having a tower of it in the shed.

From their regular stuff, I love the cheese - flavoured halloumi and shredded mozzarella are staples in our house, and their Lidl 'Uns baby food pouches are good value and my youngest loves them.

Dogwalks2 · 20/09/2017 08:54

Love the fresh bakery. Fruit and Veg so more reasonable than anywhere else.

Dogwalks2 · 20/09/2017 08:56

Forgot to mention their brilliant GIN😃

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 20/09/2017 13:15

The curry jars with separate spice pot in the lid are the best around. DH and I love them.

MotherFromCatan · 20/09/2017 14:53

The baby clothes! We love them, my daughter has a lot of baby wear from the last baby week and the one previously. Washes really well, nice and cheap and the tights are lovely and thick.

I love Greek week too, my cupboards are full of the little jars and tins! I have enough to have a couple each week until the next Greek week 😁

The ready salted crisps called Froggles!! They are SO CUTE (what a cute name!) and my kids love them. Perfect for lunch boxes and parties.

Signoritawhocansway · 20/09/2017 20:58

Individual bakery items get me every time. A treat for when I finish the shopping - a workout at the best of times!

redexpat · 20/09/2017 21:17

Wellies with flashing lights. Lasted much much better than the expensive ones. Just got a new pair for ds as they were in stock and some for dd to grow into. The longest lasting childrens wellies ever.

ChippyMinton · 20/09/2017 22:34

Multi-packs of the small bottles of sparkling water.
