In light of the release of The Emoji Movie at Cinemas on August 4 (previews August 2 & 3), Sony Pictures would like to hear about the moments when your children haven’t been able to contain their emotions.

Here’s what Sony Pictures has to say: “The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.”

See the trailer for The Emoji Movie below:

The Emoji Movie is at Cinemas August 4 (previewing on August 2 & 3). Find out more about The Emoji Movie on Facebook.

So, whether your child has been a little too excited about an upcoming holiday, can’t hold back their laughter at inappropriate times or jumps up and down when they’re happy, share this below.

Thanks and good luck!

When dd4 gets very upset she wails that her heart hurts - it's so dramatic! Dd2 is a great one for naming what she is doing excitedly - "I'm waking!" "I'm jumping!" Are great favourites, usually accompanied by a happy dance.

My 5 year old son was so excited when it was time for the school Easter egg raffle he thought he got one because he had a ticket so when his number/name didn't get called out he sat sobbing uncontrollably, it got to the last pick and it was his ticket he bounced up screamed "yes me, me , me" so loud the hall was in uproar of laughter from parents, he was so excited he ran to get to the front of the school hall, fell & skidded to the front and nearly bowled the headteacher off her feet and landed looking up at her with the biggest grin on his face Grin The head said it was the first time a man had swept her off her feet and he said " mum says you sweep the floor not your feet miss she tells us to get your feet up while she brushes" well I went bright red and every single parent was laughing so much the hall was in uproar Blush

My favourite was last year when we got a puppy. DD and DS could hardly contain their excitement, fussing over the pup and trying to hold her. There were quite a few muffled squeals of delight. They still argue about whose room she is going to sleep in!

Elizasmum02 · 19/07/2017 09:58

my aughter was so excited when we went to disney land she couldnt sleep for two nights beforehand! when she finally met her idol cinderella she threw up!

While packing for our first holiday abroad Dd 3 woke up early and ran to the front window to see if "the aeroplane was here yet!"

I think she thought they were like taxis and pulled up outside. Grin

We redecorated dd's bedroom while she stayed with her aunt - I saved up for the paint and bedcovers and bought second hand accessories and bunting.
Seeing her wee face when she came through the door was amazing. She kept saying mama I love my new bedroom!! And wow to everything as she looked around.
Now every night when she goes to bed she says thank you for my new room mama I love it!

This morning when I let her strap herself into the car seat. Nope not even joking!!! She's almost 2, and yes I did check it was all secure afterwards :D

When our youngest son was born our older boys were 9 & 11 and when my husband brought them to hospital for the first time to meet their new baby brother they were beside themselves with emotion (tears of love and joy) and we pulled the curtain around my hospital bed and all had a good cry and cuddle ❤

Jkrgjg · 20/07/2017 12:26

So we had some photos taken when my baby was 3 weeks old and in the midst of all the excitement we didn't realise what she had captured on camera until she sent us back the photos and low and behold she captured him swearing at the camera not once but twice in two different poses with such a scowl on his face! So funny we couldn't stop crying with laughter she said she spent 20 mins laughing in her studio before she sent them haha! Definitely one for when he's 18 and the photos come out haha! :-D

Frustration is becoming a bit of a theme for me near hormonal eldest. Am trying to aid how she can handle her emotions

Tink34 · 20/07/2017 12:52

My 6month old has a habit of high pitch screaming when happy so my partner decided to copy him and it made my son jump and his bottom lip quiver and then came the tears.

Wilhamenawonka · 20/07/2017 13:14

My daughter gets upset if she sees someone getting told off in a movie and has to leave the room Sad

KittyKat88 · 20/07/2017 14:34

When I told my girls we were going to EuroDisney as a joint birthday treat for them during the summer holidays! They both ran around the house screaming at the top of their lungs! (in delight, thankfully, not horror!)

thekiwibex · 20/07/2017 15:30

Our little one has recently started pulling herself up to standing, and she jigs up and down on the spot whenever her favourite nursery rhymes play!

My son couldn't stop jumping up and down and hyper-ventilating when I told him we were meeting up with the boy we met on holiday for a picnic and water-fight!

Punkatheart · 20/07/2017 22:25

When my daughter found out that her grandfather had been cremated she was really upset. She was obsessed with decomposition and loved the idea of someone going gently into the earth. 'Why did you burn Grandpa?' she sobbed. I had no answers!

Dessallara · 20/07/2017 23:24

M daughter always jumps up and down when she's excited about the trip

rhinosuze · 21/07/2017 07:26

The first time she 'met' Elsa and Anna from frozen, she screamed, ran in a circle then cried when they left!!!!

Annimousey · 21/07/2017 12:52

At my husband's Grandma's funeral, our little boy who was 18 months at the time couldn't stop clapping and laughing! Obviously it was a sad occasion so my husband had to take him out to stop disturbing everyone!

At the end of term DS couldn't contain his tiredness when I asked him to wear raincoat (it was raining). He insisted it wasn't and told me to take raincoat home. It ended up with DS crying on my lap (I'm a wheelchair user) and me saying he had to take raincoat into school! He took it in the end after lots of tears and upset. He is in lower KS2 but clearly ready for the summer break!

My son is asd and has trouble understanding and processing his emotions. He came home from school today and cried because his favourite teacher had left and he will not see him again. It is the first time I have seen him shed sad tears.
