With Easter fast approaching, Cadbury would like to hear about your family’s Easter traditions. Is there a tradition from your childhood that you’re passing on to the next generation? Or have you used your imagination to think up something that’s completely your own? Do you have a traditional family Easter lunch planned, or will you be spending the day working your way through your new chocolate egg stash? Is there a location you always like to visit over the long weekend? Perhaps your Easter Bunny devises egg hunts that could outfox even the wiliest of hunters?

Here’s what Cadbury has to say: “Easter is a really special time of the year where families come together and we believe Egg Hunts are the perfect ritual for the whole family to enjoy! We are really excited to hear about people’s Easter traditions and how they bring their families together during the Easter period”

Whatever your favourite family Easter traditions, share with Cadbury by the 12th April for a chance to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

We have all the family over for easter meal. We have a lovely egg hunt in the garden, then we have a meal

nicdanuk · 06/04/2017 12:55

we dont have any traditions, although instead of buying loads of eggs we tend to buy any kids one egg and something to wear, saves on the dentists haha

natalielara · 06/04/2017 13:12

We love our traditional easter egg hunt although this year will be a bit tricky as we have a puppy and definitely don't want her getting her paws on any chocolate! Maybe I'll organise an indoor bone hunt for her also! :P

We always get together with aunts, uncles and cousins at my Nan's house and one of the entertainments is to try and eat round the animal on a cadburys Easter egg without breaking it - I'm in my 30s and have never yet managed it but I give it my best shot!

Our Easter tradition used to be taking my elderly parents away on holiday. Now that my DM has died and my DF is in care, our Easter tradition is having my DB who is disabled to stay. We listen to Classic FM hall of fame and have creme eggs in egg cups on Easter Sunday.

We eat breakfast together, then we going to the church and in the afternoon we going on egg hunt.

My eldest is 18 in a couple of weeks but he still does an egg hunt with the little ones, my niece, 2 nephews and my mum come to stay we have a gorgeous lamb roast and we tuck into some corn flake nests with mini eggs that the kids made earlier for our afters 🐣

Every year we boil our eyes, decorate them and then go to roll them down the hill, we all have lots of fun

originalbiglymavis · 06/04/2017 15:22

Um...

lissee68 · 06/04/2017 15:22

My partners 3 little grandchildren come to visit to have a fun Easter Egg hunt around the garden and then weather permitting a tasty bbq (if any room left after all of the choccie!)

We don't do much for Easter, we have a Easter egg hunt and have a family meal together

RortyCrankle · 06/04/2017 16:34

I'm sure you could find a less painful way to have fun than boiling your eyes Grin

karen54 · 06/04/2017 16:37

Easter was never really celebrated by my parents or by me as a parent but it seems to be getting bigger ever year,I even have a small twiggy tree that I decorate with eggs and bunnies,I think its Gisele Graham who does so many pretty things. We still do the good old fashioned boiling and decorating of eggs and on Easter Sunday, weather permitting we hike up a local hill to roll the eggs, then home for a family lunch and egg hunt x

THINK ABOUT JESUS

peronel · 06/04/2017 18:11

An Easter egg hunt in the garden of wherever it is we are.

charrlieb92 · 06/04/2017 18:43

We take a stroll to the local farm to check up on all of the gorgeous animals & give them a bit of fuss, I'll beg my fiancé to let us get a pet pig/goat/lamb/chicken! We'll have our mums round for a big roast dinner & Easter egg for pudding. Then it's time to snuggle on the sofa and watch great films in our cosy clothes!

Jillf1968 · 06/04/2017 18:48

We get a hard boiled egg and dress it and surprise the children with a different dressed up egg each year

Punkatheart · 06/04/2017 19:12

My daughter and I have always baked together - particularly making ginger biscuits and rolling them out into the shape of bunnies, lambs and flowers. We also melt chocolate and make our own bunnies, the messier the better!

twomoreminutes · 06/04/2017 19:20

We are an atheist household so there is no religious component to our Easter but we believe wholeheartedly in eating as much chocolate as possible and visiting our local National Trust properties for the annual Cadburys egg hunts

cluckyhen · 06/04/2017 19:45

We love the egg hunt - it's evolved over the years to include random things like 'find a ??' too to get to the treasure

Sellins · 06/04/2017 19:55

The only Easter tradition we partake in is the eating of chocolate

LuckyLaura91 · 06/04/2017 20:04

We do an easter egg hunt on a morning and have chocolate with our breakfast, followed by a lazy day and a yummy lamb roast with all the trimmings.

MissJadeA · 06/04/2017 20:15

We always go down to my Grandparents house in Surrey, the whole family meets there as we only all meet up 3/4 times a year. Have a roast & then a Easter egg hunt afterwards. It's been tradition since I was tiny, I couldn't think of a better way to spend Easter.

OutandIntoday · 06/04/2017 20:26

We roll hard boiled eggs that we have decorated.

lillibet27 · 06/04/2017 20:30

I have to write rhyming clues that lead from one Easter egg to another until the Easter Bunny can be found. My children are quite grown up now, but Easter could not happen without this annual hunt
