Featuring a strong and spirited hero, Disney’s new film, Moana, is now available to watch as often and as many times as your DC likes, without having to worry about your proximity to a DVD player. So, inspired by Moana herself, and to celebrate the digital release of new film, Disney want to hear about the strong heroines who inspire your DCs.

Disney has said: “Did you know you can already download and keep Disney’s Moana from a variety of digital stores including Sky Store and iTunes. With great music, lots of laughs and a kick-ass heroine, Moana is a great movie for the whole family and will get you in the mood for summer. You can enjoy it on TV with the family or take it with you on your phone, tablet, laptop to keep the kids entertained while you are all out and about. The Blu-ray ™ and DVD are available on Monday 3rd April.”

Now Disney want to hear about the kick-ass heroines in your lives. Maybe it’s a teacher, a friend, a celebrity or - obvious choice - their Mum! From the everyday, to the extraordinary, anyone can be a heroine, so ask your DCs about the strong women in their lives and see who they come up with.

Everyone who posts their DCs answers on the thread below will be entered into a prize draw for one of five surprise Disney toy sets or a £250 iTunes voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Mummy, you are my hero because you are kind, lovely and helpful! Ronan - age 6 years and 11 months.

I just asked my niece and she replied :-

You Auntie Alison because you can still lift me up and I'm 7! - not quite sure thats what the question meant but that was her answer.

When I asked my dd I was really touched that she said me, she said that if she has a problem she knows I will help her to find a solution. We discuss my work as a nurse and she appreciates how I help people.
She recently saw Moana and really liked the positive role model she presented rather than the Disney princesses when she was younger and growing up. I liked Tangled too.

My DD loved Moana! I try to give her lots of strong female role models and she has them as the women in my family are pretty tough. But my DD's favourite is my best friend Lucy who has travelled the world solo three times, and never lets anything stop her from her goals.

Belle from Beauty and The Beast for being brave enough to stand up to the Beast.

my eldest daughter (9yrs) says i'm her hero :) i've been a single mum to two girls for almost 8 years. i work part time and also have my own business. 3 years ago i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and took up running 2 months later. i now run 5k almost every day and am still there t take them to school and collect them each afternoon. They never go without anything. i make every day fun for them and nothing is impossible.

god i love her 😃

My 4 yr old DD is currently obsessed with Moana- and I think I am too! I've been waiting 37 years for Disney to start making films like this, well done- now keep it up!

My DDs response to who is a strong woman that you know -

"I'm very strong aren't I"

Says all I need to know !
