Starfish: Sleeps in the same position, on their back with legs out. Uses you as a sleep prop, for example sleep-rocking or feeding, then they don’t move. Wakes often and regularly, but does go back to sleep easily after intervention. You would rather they slept through!
Skylark: Awake early in the morning, singing and shouting and refuses to go back to sleep whatever you try!
Sloth: Loves to sleep and can sleep anywhere and everywhere. A great sleeper, day and night – lucky you! But what happens when they wake up? Well you know it’s going to be for a growth or developmental spurt or they are teething or not well.
Owl: Goes to bed late and wakes in the night. Is wide awake for long periods and can’t get back to sleep!
Meerkat: Stands up, moves around trying to get comfortable all night, doesn’t want to sleep; always on high alert. Late to bed, early to rise.

Mine is a Margaret Thatcher. Four hours a night is plenty.

You may say that Margaret Thatcher isn't an animal, but the miners would disagree.

Possibly a Skylark or a Meercat! Fine going off to sleep but usually wakes in the night to make an appearance in our bed. No matter what time she goes to bed or how often she is up, she is always up early too!!

Starfish here, she is 18 months and still wakes many many times a night, can get to sleep at bedtime without feeding or cuddling etc but if wakes in night has a death grip on mummy and is inconsolable if not as physically attached as can possibly be,limpet like, or like a starfish on a rock! During the day very independent and happy to swim roam freely!!

Mine is a starfish and I reckon pampers is missing a trick. Rather than getting behind sleep trainers why not proudly proclaim 'our nappies survive a zillion wake ups a night' (which they do, bloody love baby dry)

Skylark for sure! 5am chatter until you lift her and chat back for at least an hour. Is a lovely wake up call but would love it to be a little later.

I have a light sleeper that jolts awake at the slightest of noises (even the car engine turning off)
A hungry, overtired meerkat is what I have.

I've got a skylark. He's goes down without too much trouble at night but insists on waking up at 5:30am. Ever single day.

I closest I would get is a meerkat! The endless up in the night the early starts does take its toll.
Please tell me that two are never the same???

Both my boys are Sloths. Love there sleep. Slept through the night from 5/6 weeks. My 1 year old still sleeps 12 hours a night 7 til 7. He will sleep anywhere,car,buggy. My 7 year old was the same.

Dc1 was starfish (except slept on tummy with bum in air) then became a sloth

Dc2 was meerkat, with the long awake periods of an owl

Dc3 is mostly starfish

DC is a starfish, although he doesn't sleep splayed out, he latches off and goes to sleep til the next feed. A Joey?!

DC1 was a skylark. A very happy skylark when he woke, but most definitely an early riser.

Dd1 is a sloth. Absolutely loves her sleep. Surprising really given how much she would fight it as a baby.
Dd2, I'm not sure yet as she's only 15 weeks old. All I know is that she doesn't sleep enough!

Hmm, I don't see an animal representing going to sleep late, waking up early, and wanting to be close to a warm body all the time.

None of the above - it depends on the time of year, room temperature and whether it's school holidays or not although overall he prefers going to bed late and getting up early.

Luckily for me I have a Sloth... Most of the time!

Baby Hubble fights any and all sleep. As a newborn babyhubble was capable of staying awake all day. Babyhubble laughs in the face of your classifications and continues to wake around the clock, every 10-30 mins.
Sleep consultants do not soothe him, nor specialist hospital baby psychologists stale the infinite variety of his sleep dodging ways.

Starfish here drives me mad. Hopefully will sleep better soon

I have a sloth ( thankfully) bedtime is 6:30-7pm and he sleeps until 8 am. Has a nap usually around 10: 30 for around two hours. I count my lucky stars every day.

sometimes i find him asleep on the landing/amongst his toys. he looks so cute, but so naughty!

DD1 is a starfish.
DD2 is a skylark. She goes to sleep brilliantly most nights, but when she wakes in the morning she goes from deeply asleep to buzzing in a nanosecond.
DS1 looks like he's going to be another starfish

DD1 was a sloth and still is. She loves her sleep. She's always been the child asleep at weddings on 3 chairs and a pile of coats while everyone parties around her.

DD2 is a meerkat, she's always had fomo, even as a baby.

Mine little girl is mostly like a Sloth. She's a great night sleeper and usually sleeps for 12 hours at night. She's been a good sleeper from about 3 months!

But she's never been a day sleeper! I'd rather have it at night really!

DD was a mix of all the types really. Very lucky hat since she hit 4w old she just slept all night for upto 14hrs on the trot, and now at 3yo she does the same mostly
