PizzaExpress is teaming up with Ice Age: Collision Course this summer to provide great family days out. So, we’ve been asked by PizzaExpress to find out what MNers’ and their families’ dream pizzas would be.

Here’s what PizzaExpress have to say: ‘When it comes to PizzaExpress ingredients, we never compromise. After all, they’re the foundation for our great flavours. The same goes for our commitment to bringing fresh ideas to the table – such as our exciting new take on the Hawaiian Pizza.’

‘Inspired by Peter, our founder’s entrepreneurship and bravery to try new things, we’re always looking for new ways to delight our customers. How do we do that? By listening to them, of course, and bringing their ideas to life with a little creativity.’

So how would you customise your dream pizza? Are you a classic Margherita person or do you have more adventurous tastes? Where do you stand with pineapple on pizza? Are you the kind of person who likes lots of different toppings on one pizza, or do you prefer to keep things simple?

Whatever your favourite recipes are, post below about your dream pizza and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

My dream pizza would be to re-create the pizza slice I had at a stall in Rome as a student - have no idea if memory has made it more delicious or if it really truly was as wonderful as I remember. It had potato and rosemary I think and no tomato sauce.

manfalou · 08/07/2016 10:11

My dream pizza would include.... Black Olives, Mozzarella cheese, sundries tomatoes, pesto and cured italian meats. Somehow get the taste of balsamic vinegar on their too and it would be perfect

AnimalAddict · 08/07/2016 10:57

Four cheeses, pepperoni, garlic, mushroom & olives :)

EvansAndThePrince · 08/07/2016 11:42

Stuffed crust, barbecue base, sausage, peppers, onion, sweetcorn, lots of herbs. Maybe olives if I fancy an extra kick of flavour but that would be with a tints base.

A few years ago (pre-children) my husband and I went on holiday to Sardinia. It was the first holiday we ever went on together actually.

While we were there I had a pizza which had different cured meats on it, mushrooms, mozzerella and in the very centre it had an egg. It was the best pizza I have ever eaten and I would absolutely love to recreate it again.

Ranita · 08/07/2016 14:43

Margarita base with chorizo and mushrooms for me.

Mine would be a thin crust, cream cheese base, wild herb pesto, goats cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Baked then a fresh watercress and bay leaf salad with fresh parma ham and balsamic vinegar drizzle yummy! For pudding it would be a chocolate and banana pizza or a salted caramel and apple pizza with cream!

Reading all these answers is making my mouth water and my stomach rumble, think it's going to be pizza for tea, so many options to decide from I should just take after my son - he would just be happy with a really cheesy pizza!

I think I'd quite like either spinach and feta with sundried tomatoes or steak and buffalo mozzarella cheese!

For twenty years we used to order home delivery pizza from a place who put a leaflet through our door and they did the most lush pizzas - not super authentic, but hot, thin crust and with a fantastic range of topping combinations. In particular they used to do a Vegetarian Hot with really soft and perfectly cooked roasted aubergines, jalapenos, fresh tomatoes, chilli oil, garlic, garlic and a bit more garlic. God it hit the spot. But first they took it off the menu, and then one day we rang up and they refused to deliver to us at all, because they'd changed their catchment. Our pleas that they'd delivered to us happily for two decades fell on deaf ears Sad.

We found another pizza delivery place nearer to home, but it's not the same. So I still dream of my platonic ideal Vegetarian Hot: thin but not crispy, piping hot, with aubergines, tomatoes, chilli oil and Jalapenos, just a smidge of mozzerella, and with more garlic than you can possibly imagine.

My dream pizza would be tomato sauce, tuna, very thinly sliced red onions and black olives. Drizzled over with olive oil, but very importantly no cheese!

eltsihT · 08/07/2016 18:31

Goats cheese, spinach and balsamic vinegar.

Easta · 08/07/2016 18:41

Tomato, garlic and rosemary oil, lamb off the shoulder blade, feta, black olives ......BOOM

LaceyLee · 08/07/2016 19:23

A summery one with corgettes, asparagus, peas and creamy cheese 🍕

AnotherPrickInTheWall · 08/07/2016 20:19

Based on my favourite veg side dish..carrot puree base, seasoned with a bit of honey, nutmeg and mustard ( sweet ,aromatic), topped with crumbled Lancashire cheese( acidic/creamy) and a peppery( savoury/ hot) veg such as rocket. All very British ingredients but none the less lend themselves to the making of a perfect pizza. After all there are no rules when it comes creating a perfect pizza.

AnotherPrickInTheWall · 08/07/2016 20:20

I would add virgin rapeseed oil to anoint the toppings in keeping with the British theme.

alibubbles · 08/07/2016 20:33

Thinnest base possible, no cheese, spicy tomato sauce, salami, chorizo, spicy beef, spicy italian sausage, japalenos, cooked then add fresh fiery rocket and torn buffalo mozzarella and a crunch of fresh sea salt!
Yum, that's what Pizza Hut did for me last night!

stimpy1 · 08/07/2016 20:42

Mine has to be loaded with veg, lots of cherry tomatoes, asparagus, peppers, peas, sweetcorn and jalapenos and then topped with cheddar cheese!!

Ilovenannyplum · 08/07/2016 20:42

Gluten free base that actually tastes nice and not like cardboard

Prosciutto, mushrooms, mascarpone and red onion
YUM! Grin
